This is it. This is what I want Ghost Recon to be by default. Bravo sir. There's a lot of these "tactical Breakpoint" channels but the roleplay is not as high. When I play this game I just walk through the terrain, pretending I'm on an Afghanistan patrol. x) Making up scenarios as I go. Absolutely adore it. And I hope the next one will just have a TON of opportunities and systems to push that to a next level.
I think this was one of the most action-packed singleplayer missions I've run in a while. Getting pinched between the Azrael reinforcements and the drones at 6:20 was such a hectic and heart-pumping experience.
There's plenty more like this on the way. My next two videos in this style will follow a Shadow Company strike team launching an attack against a port in search for a shipment, and German infantry moving to shut down a heavily defended Bodark ammo factory.
I remember when I used to play the video game tom Clancy's ghost recon future soldier and I was carrying a belt fed machine gun I would always hold down the trigger button and I would just empty a belt of ammo into the bad guys
There are few things as satisfying as dumping an entire belt into a group of enemies--especially if you're able to get the drop on them. If you aren't using 250+ rounds of pure dakka per encounter, are you even a true machine gunner? 🙂

I recently got into this game and am also playing on immmersive mode no hud(except for compass) I'm curious how you find these convoys and are able to set up an ambush like this. They always seem to spawn or drive by me while I'm doing something else and by the time I notice them they are a kilometer away.
Thank you! There's three more operations in this style on the way if you want to see more. They will be focused on Shadow Company, German infantry, and the United States Marine Corps respectively. The convoy ambush segment was unfortunately not as dynamic as it appeared in the video, and involved a lot of attempts to get it to spawn in the right place at the right time with the right preparations in place. While working on an unreleased in-depth convoy guide, I discovered that convoys generally spawn every 18-19 minutes, but have a high chance of appearing within a minute if you reset the world (log out and log back in or die) near a road that is yellow or white on the map. However, this isn't a viable tactic when playing with others and during normal gameplay, and it is so incredibly unimmersive and tedious that I'm not sure its worth the trouble unless you really want to ambush a convoy. I'd say I spend over an hour trying multiple times to get the convoy to spawn and set up the ambush in time. Other than mission convoys, there's no way to tell if a convoy is active without seeing it, but by then you usually don't have enough time to set up an effective ambush.
The covered ACH helmet is only obtainable through ownership of the Gold Edition of the game or higher, which is any edition of the game that comes with the Year 1 pass. Note that you can't get it by purchasing the pass separately.
UCP-D never caught on as the replacement for UCP, but it underwent operational field testing and was issued to some battalions of the 82nd Airborne Division, 4th Infantry Division, and 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment in Afghanistan for six months in late 2009. The point of this video to be a throwback to that in a modern setting. Edit: Minor changes to wording to help with clarity. Point is the same.
