The criminals presumably don't want to use cards they legitimately own partly because of cost but mostly because that would leave a paper trail back to them. I would assume that each set of stolen card details the criminal was trying came with a different address (which needed to match to have any chance of the payment going through).
How hard would it be to set up an private members only DNR site for everyone to use? If all the rental companies were to pay a fee to use it could it be profitable and worthwhile to do? Why would it not be legal? Wouldn’t insurance companies, cr3dit card companies and law enforcement want in on that too?
Why wouldnt you have contacted the police in the first place when it happened to you and this other company? Seems really weird. Not to be a dick but you may have been able to prevent all these further later thefts if you had done this at the time.
