This is what I love about wow lore, especially in Pandaria. There are lessons you can learn from it. Like tongs speech to wrathion, the burdens of Shahao or Garrosh's betrayal of the horde, there is always something you can take from it.
I liked that ending. It shows Wrathion for who he truly is, a child who throws a tantrum when things don't go his way. It also shows the greatest wisdom comes from the most humble of sources, an unassuming waiter.
26:16 this part here seems really interesting with all the lore we got since this dialogue has been released. wrathion gets "posessed" and talks about millions of worlds, and how one stands out from the rest. and about rebuilding the "FINAL TITAN". with the coming worldsoul saga, the last of the 3 announced expansions is called "the last titan". i can only speculate that these things have something to do with eachother.
nah, if you think about it deathwing can't be his genetic father, only the father of his progeny.... the only person who has ever mated with deathwing and lived after the change was sinestra, but sinestra isn't his mother nyxondra is.
I miss questlines and storylines like this. I enjoyed the legendary quest line so much, I come back to this video just to see it again. Blizzard already introduced timewalking Mage Tower. I think it would be absolutely amazing, and also difficult, to introduce timewalking legendary quest lines. Obviously, it would be for tmog appearances only.
I know. It sucks :( just because you are a little behind you lose out on great lore quests. -shakes fist- grrr, no fair. I don't even care about that legendary quest item.
Couple months late but I feel it. I'd love to just go into a questline overleved so I can actually pay attention to the lore instead of worrying about level grinding, you know? Damn shame.
This was what I was looking forward to most when I got to Pandaria as I level through the game. I’m super pissed, not for being unable to get the cloak, but for not getting to further the lore and hang out with Wrathion after the Fangs of the Father quest chain.
At the risk of sounding ignorant, why does everyone seem to dislike Anduin so strongly? Is it because he's an outspoken pacifist in a game where everyone just wants to fight each other all the time? Is it because he's an idealist, like Jaina, but much more inexperienced and therefore still too naive? I've personally always found him to be a well-written character and enjoy interacting with him, in spite of his obvious flaws.
I really wish they hadn't removed this questline. As someone who just started WoW just a few months ago, one of the characters that drew me to the game was Wrathion and I dearly wanted to see him in action. I didn't even know the quest had been removed, so I was pretty confused why I could never quite get it to start.
Same here. I really like Storys and the Lore but I also pushed me forward to 100 to at least experience Warlords of Draenor and the Garrisson as how it is before Legion hits. But I spend most of my time still in Pandaria because everything there is just so beautiful!
Haha, Wrathion presents himself as this badass, willing to take any means necessary to save this world. Then he switches to dragon form and he's a whelp ^^
51:33 So, if I recall all this right, in his efforts to stop the Burning Legion invasion, he is part of what causes Garrosh's escape and the entire alternate timeline. At first he wanted either the alliance or horde to seize control as the one united dominant power, then it was the iron horde, and now due to all that he's caused Gul'dan to escape to our reality and start the Burning Legion invasion. _So in trying to fix everything, he caused the problem instead!_ Who's the imbecile here again, Wrathion?
Thank you for putting this together! I didn't have much time during MoP so I never got around to do the questline to the end. But as a fan of the lore, being able to at least see this made me happy :) (loved Wrathions exit xD makes me go "uh-oh" though ^^' ... )
That discussion between Anduin and Wrathion around 9 minutes in really embodies a lot of what I loved about this expansion. There was a lot of philosophy to the lore, making you think. The lorewalker faction and all those cutscenes really embodied that, and I didn't see anything of the sort in the next expansion. Sad, really.
Wrathion is probably my favorite character. The part where he's venting about Varynn not finishing Garrosh and breathes fire out the door in anger LOL.
"I will stop at nothing to prepare this world for the battle to come. Next time I will leave NOTHING to chance!" God, that really just gets under my skin. Watching it 6 years after the fact. He was a direct catalyst for the Burning Legion invading Azeroth and he did literally nothing to help. It was super disappointing that he only had a brief couple of cameos in WoD and one in Legion. You'd figure since his entire character arc was defending taking up the titans charge to defend the planet AND making sure we had the tools to defeat the Burning Legion, that he'd have played a part in their defeat. Like, even if it were just him showing up to tell us about the Pillars of Creation or him telling us about the Artifact weapons. He didn't even show up to help in any of the fights. And now with Azeroth bleeding out, he's still nowhere to be seen. They spent so much of Mists building him up and there's been no pay off.
If you think about it, Wrathion is starting to take on the role the aspects originally had. He says that he wants to safeguard Azeroth, and seems to be willing to go to any feat to do so.
That Forge part was a real pain in the ass... "You aren't harboring any bad thoughts are you?" Ohhhhhh, I'm harboring bad thoughts alright you little piece of -
If you look closely you can see that Jaina is on the right side of Varien and Anduin is on the left side. Kind of like Jaina being the evil talking to Varien and Anduin being good talking to Varien. Like when you see in Cartonns. A demon on one shoulder and an angel on the other
Hey Nobbel, I recently just found you again. I can remember watching your videos in cata on how to solo instances, as well as I grew, your channel grew too. Hope you'll keep making videos, and thank you for the awesome walkthrough :)
great video. I'm not currently playing wow so it's nice to see the lore updates before the next expansion. They probably have lured me back my two favorite races are orc and dranaei.
Why did Blizzard remove the quest line and item? I wanted to go through it on my warrior and death knight since I didn't play MoP. Imagine if they removed all other legendaries :(
+Al Valentyn It was an attempt to make those items stay legendary... But in my opinion they should have kept it in the game for lore reasons and just removed the tedious currency gathering and the rewards OFC.
Hey Nobbel, I've been subscribed to you for along time now and I'd just like to say a massive congrats on how your channel is coming along! I can't wait for further content and your views on blizzcon after all the annoucements :)
This is one of my favourite video's you've done, because it is feature length. I would love to see a WoW movie but I feel this video shows why 2, or even 3, hours wouldn't be enough to cover a WoW story arc. They would have to make a TV show about different perspectives or make a movie series. Anyway, love the lore videos and when you speculate on possible lore advancements.
Good work Nobbel. You never dissapoint. A dream of mine would be to play some wow with you sometime. Prob won't happen, but thanks for the awesome videos and keep up the amazing videos! :D
I did a bit of speculation on that in my Titans & Old Gods video (part 3). It's possible that the Titans placed us on a path to get us ready, but I don't think we are the final titan as Wrathion says from his vision. He says "We must rebuild THE final titan, as in one" Was having a chat about this the other day with someone on facebook. What if "We have fallen" means the race of Titans has fallen. That would make the final titan left standing...Sargeras.
apparently, years later, we are talking about azeroth being the last titan standing, and thats pretty safe to assume since wrathion was teasing legion already, and as such the blizzard team probably already had a lot of bfa and SL lore prepared at least in some sort of deegree and level
Wrathion is sort of a kiss-up.. in this he says "no doubt my loyalties lie with your Alliance." he says the same thing Horde side, but "with your Horde.." he also says the Alliance would have won in SoO if they had attacked Vol'jin, but he says the opposite if you are Horde side... he is such a kiss-up
As you may have noticed. Even though Un'goro and Sholazar are jungles, around them are desserts or snow zones. That would make no sence if it was not for some the machinery the titan built for researching. In Sholazar you can even see a few of those machineries on top of those giant mountains. Those machines create this whole "fake" jungle.
I love Wrathion. He, like Anduin, has come a long way since that petulant black dragon he was in Pandaria. In Dragonflight, he is more confident without ego as much. I'm hoping that he and Anduin are together again in The War Within and he helps Anduin get past the crap that he went through.
She went of the deep end a bit after theramore got blown to bits. And a lot more happend after that to. If you're interested in what happend, read the novel "Jaina Proudmoore - Tides of War". Explains a lot. And is a very good read.
When the titans were hanging out on Azeroth, they liked to perform experiments. For example: What would happen if a dino would fall into a tar pit? Well, they could test those events in places like Un'goro/Sholazar without having to wait and without having to mess up things in the rest of the world.
good lord that boy can be more long winded than a politician.... he's cute tho for a toddler (grin* thanks for stringing it together for us.... my hubby an I look foreward to your next video...I do wish Anduin and Wrathion would stop beating around the bush and just get to it... they fight like a married couple... remind me so much of Koltira and Thesarian
Hey Nobbel, just wanted to thank you for your hard work on all of that stuff, it's super interesting and really informative. What I couldn't find on your profile (might be because I'm insanely tired) is anything "wider" related to Trolls. I know for a fact that dem Trolls got a lot of story behind them and it's been going on since the very release. Also, there's a lot to seculate on because of Zandalar, Zul, King Rakhastan and others. I would love to see a vid about everything from scratch!
Wish I did that quest line. I gave up at the thunder king quests because it would take too long. And quit WoW but never the less it was a great quest line and a great video. Thanks nobbel :)
"Are you lecturing me? You're what - two years old?"
Even your father didn't burn Azeroth as much as Anduin just burned you, Wrathion.
Giulio Guilherme it's funnier bc anduin was still such a bitch at the time yet he drops the burns on wrathion 😂
Giulio Guilherme 🇪🇭🇪🇭🇪🇭🇪🇭🇪🇭🇪🇭🇪🇭🇪🇭
I can't help laughing at him saying "NOTHING!" as a whelp as he leaves the room.
same xD
This is what I love about wow lore, especially in Pandaria. There are lessons you can learn from it. Like tongs speech to wrathion, the burdens of Shahao or Garrosh's betrayal of the horde, there is always something you can take from it.
I liked that ending. It shows Wrathion for who he truly is, a child who throws a tantrum when things don't go his way. It also shows the greatest wisdom comes from the most humble of sources, an unassuming waiter.
I'm sure he acted the same way when he had a vision about Earth's poor decision in the 2016 elections.
I love the fact Wrathion's dragon form is a whelpling xD
Goes to show how powerful death wing actually was
P
26:16 this part here seems really interesting with all the lore we got since this dialogue has been released. wrathion gets "posessed" and talks about millions of worlds, and how one stands out from the rest. and about rebuilding the "FINAL TITAN". with the coming worldsoul saga, the last of the 3 announced expansions is called "the last titan". i can only speculate that these things have something to do with eachother.
I crack up every time I hear the phrase "Aunty Onyxia".
Who if I'm right should actually be his sister.
nah, if you think about it deathwing can't be his genetic father, only the father of his progeny.... the only person who has ever mated with deathwing and lived after the change was sinestra, but sinestra isn't his mother nyxondra is.
sethmarongg Sinestra lived, however the "deed" left scars all over her body. Dang, dragons must have it stroooong in there..
thats what i said :P
seriously who can take wrathion seriously when he's in his little dragon form?
No one
I can't take Wrathion seriously whenever he transforms; he just looks so cute!
9:20 Even if we don't see Anduin as king in Dragonflight, I really hope we see him and Wrathion again. Man I miss this.
"Are you lecturing me? You're what, two years old?" - Wrathion better have burn heal for that
Man, simpler times...
My favorite Questline in WoW. A shame that new players can´t experience it anymore.
I am very glad I found this video so I can experience in this way at least...
I just wanna go back.
I would play mop classic just for this quest
I have a feeling Tong is like a Mysterious Figure. I mean just a waiter and with all that knowledge and that Voice!
most pandaren gave me that feeling
Wow, can't wait to experience this awesome questline chock full of lore for myself....OH WAIT.

+littlejune131 You answered your own question. I don't mind him though.
littlejune131 I like anduin, especially when I get to interact with him in pandaria, I act like as if I were his friend
Agreed, people hating on Anduin back in those times was a bit unsophisticated
Anduin is the best character
I really wish they hadn't removed this questline. As someone who just started WoW just a few months ago, one of the characters that drew me to the game was Wrathion and I dearly wanted to see him in action. I didn't even know the quest had been removed, so I was pretty confused why I could never quite get it to start.

I gotta admit Wrathion is a pretty great character...."High King" indeed lol
Haha, Wrathion presents himself as this badass, willing to take any means necessary to save this world. Then he switches to dragon form and he's a whelp ^^
Bfa Wrathion looking at these comments: HA!
I cant take Wrathion serious when he changes into this whelp..

Holy Tong. Is EVERY GODDAMN PANDAREN WISE?! Yeah, probably. But HOLY SHIT. TONG. I LOVE YOU.
I'd also like to point out Tong is a tavern owner, not a waiter.
"I will stop at nothing to prepare this world for the battle to come" *turns into baby*
Aww! Wrathion is so cute when he turns into a Whelp and shouts "NOTHING!" xD
Wrathion is probably my favorite character. The part where he's venting about Varynn not finishing Garrosh and breathes fire out the door in anger LOL.
I can't take wrathions whelp form seriously...
Yumfree this is maybe a bit late but... well.. he is 2 in dragon years XD
wild mage Hehe,he hasn't hit dragon puberty yet!
+Max Jackson I wonder how that would be like... Dragon puberty... Hmmm
+Yumfree seriously! from that voice when he transforms into that little whelp. my thoughts were like 'thats's it? you've gotta be kidding..lol'
"I will stop at nothing to prepare this world for the battle to come. Next time I will leave NOTHING to chance!"

yeah...thats pretty sad tbh
It's so dumb they removed this questline. There's such a huge part of the story to it.
"For that- I am willing to END this bloodshed." *Builds Stormshield- Raids Ashran*
37:02
"wait a sex"
I'm a WoW player. I'll wait forever.
Check craigslist m8 , easy hoes for us wow players.
"A Blind Dragon, ridiculous"
I couldn't stop laughing
If only they would unlock the cloak quest chain again, I would totally play that again...
Your lore videos are awesome, dude! I rarely post on comments or even compliment youtubers but, you're the first for me! Keep it up.
Anduin: "What are you? 2 years old". Rekd
FINALLY, a good and original WoW character! This is something WoW desperately needs. Wrathion has a ton of potential, I hope they won't screw him up.
oof
"varian is a wolf, and he does what a wolf does,he goes with his pack, the alliance"
i honor this phrase
1:44 kalimdor looks like a bear with a "shocked"face lol
Thanks for the Long Vid, I now can enjoy a full hour of lore :D! whenever you can make long vids like this please do!! appreciate the effort
If you think about it, Wrathion is starting to take on the role the aspects originally had. He says that he wants to safeguard Azeroth, and seems to be willing to go to any feat to do so.
That Forge part was a real pain in the ass... "You aren't harboring any bad thoughts are you?" Ohhhhhh, I'm harboring bad thoughts alright you little piece of -
I would sub hundred times if i could, best lore. Can't listen to nobody except you Nobbel!
I can't get over how cool you look at the end of the video with the new tier of paladin gear
I liked when he said "if i was a dwarf i would start randomly pressing buttons" and then the picture of brann showed
If you look closely you can see that Jaina is on the right side of Varien and Anduin is on the left side. Kind of like Jaina being the evil talking to Varien and Anduin being good talking to Varien. Like when you see in Cartonns. A demon on one shoulder and an angel on the other
You have no idea how much I love your videos. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for this video :D
Why you miss like me pandaria? XD this quests was best!!
Variann wrynns story is very warming I like that the leader of the alliance is actually humble and thrall is just as good aswell
lol "High King indeed"
made my day lol!!
Hey Nobbel, I recently just found you again. I can remember watching your videos in cata on how to solo instances, as well as I grew, your channel grew too. Hope you'll keep making videos, and thank you for the awesome walkthrough :)
If youve the drive for it, you might get far with this channel. Really like your videos, your voice, and the overall attitude!
You go Nobbel!
LOL Nobbel I think you just liked seeing Wrathion get beat up.
A full 56 minute video from nobbel. Highlight of my week.
great video. I'm not currently playing wow so it's nice to see the lore updates before the next expansion. They probably have lured me back my two favorite races are orc and dranaei.
Really nice summary and good video. Really sick transmog aswell O.O
This was awesome, thanks Nobbel!
Why did Blizzard remove the quest line and item? I wanted to go through it on my warrior and death knight since I didn't play MoP.
Imagine if they removed all other legendaries :(
+Al Valentyn
It was an attempt to make those items stay legendary...
But in my opinion they should have kept it in the game for lore reasons and just removed the tedious currency gathering and the rewards OFC.
Burning Legion is invading this month, it has been 3 years but the time has come :P
Hey Nobbel, I've been subscribed to you for along time now and I'd just like to say a massive congrats on how your channel is coming along! I can't wait for further content and your views on blizzcon after all the annoucements :)
I like your videos. Nice organisation and your narrations are great.
Aunty Onyxia gets shit DONE
I don't care what people say I loved Pandaria
Thank you for the awesome summary. Didn't relally have time to do the questline myself backthen.
This is one of my favourite video's you've done, because it is feature length. I would love to see a WoW movie but I feel this video shows why 2, or even 3, hours wouldn't be enough to cover a WoW story arc. They would have to make a TV show about different perspectives or make a movie series.

Good work Nobbel. You never dissapoint. A dream of mine would be to play some wow with you sometime. Prob won't happen, but thanks for the awesome videos and keep up the amazing videos! :D
wow awesome! i was searching for this last week.. didnt find sth. Thanks man!
I like how Wrathion mocks the idea of a blind dragon. XD Poor Atramedes.
I love that you flexed at Wrathion
I did a bit of speculation on that in my Titans & Old Gods video (part 3). It's possible that the Titans placed us on a path to get us ready, but I don't think we are the final titan as Wrathion says from his vision. He says "We must rebuild THE final titan, as in one" Was having a chat about this the other day with someone on facebook. What if "We have fallen" means the race of Titans has fallen. Dang Tong had enough of being bossed around.
I came from the future to say that Wranduin lives
and this is your lore video of the week? GG
I just love to watch your lore videos before going sleep :)
@Nobbel87, your videos made me come back to wow, and resume a game that until I stop playing I did not realize that i loved
ty dude :D
Wrathion is sort of a kiss-up.. in this he says "no doubt my loyalties lie with your Alliance." he says the same thing Horde side, but "with your Horde.." he also says the Alliance would have won in SoO if they had attacked Vol'jin, but he says the opposite if you are Horde side... he is such a kiss-up
Amazing video Nobbel! Can't wait to blizzcon!
Wrathion also mentioned "One world above them all..." when he was possessed. Maybe our showdown with the legion will be on that world.
"You're just a waiter!" A waiter who just lectured you : D
A Nobbel Video, done all of my homework GREAT! Wait, a sec an hour long?! THIS IS A MASTERPIECE!
I love Wrathion. He, like Anduin, has come a long way since that petulant black dragon he was in Pandaria. In Dragonflight, he is more confident without ego as much. I'm hoping that he and Anduin are together again in The War Within and he helps Anduin get past the crap that he went through.
i can't take it serious when Wrathion "whelps" out of there screaming "NOTHING" xD
Awesome Lore Nobbel! Im a new subscriber to you and gosh have i missed out on alot of great videos!
Loved this video! Thank you so much for this!
I wish this wasn't removed, it's a really good story and Wrathion makes it really interesting
This just made my Sunday ten times better.
Thanks made my night was waiting on the sever to get fixed so i could go on to the lfr to get the last few thing from the first part of the chain
Tong sure gave Wrathion his Speech Of Wisdom
havent played wow for a year still watching nobbel thats how much i love his vids
Great video, as always!
Let's hope BlizzCon gives us some answers!
I'm glad I subbed, almost an hour of pure content? :)
She went of the deep end a bit after theramore got blown to bits. And a lot more happend after that to. If you're interested in what happend, read the novel "Jaina Proudmoore - Tides of War".
Explains a lot. And is a very good read.

Well, they could test those events in places like Un'goro/Sholazar without having to wait and without having to mess up things in the rest of the world.
I can't wait to see what he is going to do in Battle for Azeroth
51:35
i gotta say nobbel that gear u had on at the last part was so cool it matches the cape too
Hey Nobbel great video, once more :D
btw, I found it funny the title is "Alliance POV" but on 3:22 it's a female belf :P
good lord that boy can be more long winded than a politician.... he's cute tho for a toddler (grin* thanks for stringing it together for us.... my hubby an I look foreward to your next video...I do wish Anduin and Wrathion would stop beating around the bush and just get to it... they fight like a married couple... remind me so much of Koltira and Thesarian
