Hi and thanks! They make really pretty Valentine’s Day cookies! I do that almost every year. These cookies taste too good to just make at Christmas time.😋

    Hi Pamela!
New subbie here. Really enjoy your recipes, (found your pumpkin muffin recipe and have always wanted to use the unique paper cups that I found online a long time ago). Your no fuss methods and commentary appeal to me. I enjoy cooking and baking weekly; love to avoid unnecessary steps. Some things aren't necessary........like the poking of holes to absorb a simple glaze in a beautiful unblemished cake or loaf!
Loved it when you and Ina G. skipped the holes in the LEMON CAKE.
I mean the following comment with complete sincerity. Your video volume is exceptionally
    low.
I have turned it up to the highest level, but its still not loud enough to hear you. Then I forget to adjust at the end, and the next video or ad is blasting.
    Fran

      ggbice,
thank you for your subscription to my channel. I’m sorry you’re having problems hearing me. Is it on every video or just some? You are the third person who has mentioned this to me. I’ve checked with local friends and subscribers and they’re not having any issues with sound when listening to my videos. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the device you’re listening on? I’d really like to figure out why a few of you are having this issue! Thank you for letting me know. I am not a techie, so I will ask around!

How do you measure your flour and sugar? I need to know to duplicate your results.

When measuring flour, the best way is to use a digital scale. But, if you don’t have one, using a big spoon, fluff up the flour that’s in your bag or container, then use the spoon to scoop it and put it in your measuring cup, then level off with a knife. With granulated white sugar, simply scoop it from the bag or container that you keep it in. Sugar does not pack down the way flour does.

@@pamelasfavoriterecipes7998 Thank you. Are you using 120 grams per "cup" of flour? What about powdered sugar, which does pack down like flour?

If you’re using a digital scale, this recipe takes 255g of flour.
There is no powdered sugar in this recipe, but yes if you are measuring powdered sugar, fluff and scoop like flour.

@@pamelasfavoriterecipes7998 I agree that a digital scale is the way to go. I weigh ingredients whenever possible. I'm a bit confused. The cookie dough calls for 2.5 cups flour, which should be ~300g. It also calls for 1.5 cups powdered sugar, which would be 180g the way I measure it. And are you using a 1 lb box of powdered sugar for the icing?

I’m so sorry, I’ve been answering questions on my channel this morning and I got your question mixed up with another question that came in on my shortbread recipe. I didn’t look carefully enough to see which recipe you were asking about.
