Thanks for posting this video! i didnt know that tool existed and would have been a bit stumped without it. I will say this though, if anyone is struggling to get the bearings out using this tool and has managed to remove 1 side you can use your old support shaft to get the stuck one out. bear with me on this, try to picture what im saying...Put the shaft in from the opposite side of the stuck bearing, because one bearing is out it means you can angle the shaft just right to catch on the inside of the stuck bearing. With the shaft stuck against the inside of the bearing edge hammer on the shaft. This worked much much better than the tool but i think it will only work if you get one bearing out.
Thanks. A few other people have also said that. Thats why i enjoy doing these videos because the viewers help you as you go and you learn with every job
Fantastic progress! I was tidying up the garage last night and had came across that wee spacer and was wondering where it came from and you have just confirmed it lol. I think I'll need to refer back to your videos for my suspension rebuild as I didn't take photos etc
In the last few weeks I've bought the O/S/F inner wing, door step + A post, hinge panel that goes between the A post and inner wing and an A post closing panel. Now this is my dilemma, I think I will need a scuttle and outer wing and outer A panel to use as a reference to line up the inner wing so a scuttle, wing and A panel will be required along with a pneumatic hole punch as I don't fancy drilling hundreds of holes
Wow you are gonna be busy. Will the inner wing not line up with the subframe and front panel. Suppose it depends on how much is cut off.lookin forward to seeing the progress
DB Mini DIY the entire front end has been chopped lol. On a positive note I found a pair of suspension arm kits that you demonstrate in this video and one rear radius atm kit but I'll need to check the radius atm kit is complete as that bag was ripped. So yeah I've plenty to do. You'll need to pop over sometime even if for a brew. If you email me via my contact page I'll send you my details
Thanks Dean. You will need to take it off the car to do it. So you would need to split the balljoint and compress the rubber cone and remove the upper arm. I have covered this in some of the other videos. Good luck 👍

Just watched this video again and I think I'll make a start on my arms while I'm waiting on panels. Was also great to catch up with you today!
Sounds good. Gives you something to do and they will be ready to go on when you need them. Was great having a look around your mini.
Really clear guidance. Ready to tackle mine now that you have given me all the tips. Who needs Haynes:-)
Cheers. Its really rewarding doing the work yourself. Once the inner roller bearing is out the rest isn't too bad
Very well explained. Did one years ago and forgot how it all assembles.
Hi DB, Just about to re do front sub frame this vid will be a great help. not quite as scared now , Cheers mate
Thanks. Best way to learn is to try it. That's how i dud it and its a great feeling when you have done it

i believe that spacer your missing is a part of your shocks absorber, its attached to the rubber bushsings
Thanks michael. I can take that rusty old thing off now
that second rusty spacer your on about should come with the new shock absorber as it the metal coller for the bush
Thanks mark.though it was just the rubber bushes so you have saved me ordering duplicates
Would you know the part number for the roller bearing? Thanks.
Yes it is ATJ4098
Hi, could you put a link to your bearing puller and slide hammer. I've had a look on eBay and I can't find it.
Cheers
Simon
