Common feedback - lots of you have tried the fitkari hack and told me it's made your hair dry. For starters, keep the fitkari in water for not more than 10-15 mins.
If it still makes the hair dry, don't use this hack please, since maybe the fitkari is reacting with some other element present in the water you get at your place.
Then what is the alternative for this
Best way to use this is mix in water and leave for 4 hours at least so that it will settle down with hard metels at bottom of bucket, use upper 75% of water and rest 25% at bottom of bucket must be throw away. What I do is mix a bucket of water at night and use at morning and in summers, I refill water bucket with alum and use in night for bathing as most of people bath twice in summers ☀️

When i moved from himacahal to mumbai, i was facing hard water issues, leading to hair fall. Then I started taking epsom salth bath, started applying cooonion hair oil by littleextra 2 times a week with 5 minutes deep massage for better results. and then wash it off with cocoonion shampoo in morning. I also eat protien rich diet and do yoga for improving blood circulation. My my hair fall is normal and i feel confident when i walk arroud with my friends.

Boiling water also soften the hard water. Just boil the hard water and let it cool down and then wash ur hair

@Rahul Bokke yeah right.... I tried it to see it for myself. The boiled water after cooling down was slightly white in clr indicating the presence of minerals still there.

That's a great video. My suggestion to people who are staying in hostel. When I was staying in hostel n on days I would shampoo my hair, I would fill half bucket hot water n add 2 spoons of baking soda n 4 spoons of vinegar, leave the bucket for 30 mins to do the reaction. Plz fill water hot enough to suit u even after 30mins stay. Baking soda n vinegar makes amazing reaction.

We collect waste water of RO and use it for washing clothes n vehicles... Waste water is 4 to 5 times of purified water... So no one should waste it

Epsom Salt will increase the hardness of water.. cuz hard water already contains magnesium and other sulphates...
So don't use Epsom Salt in hard water for bathing..

perefectly said...this is a myth that alum can repair hard water to soft water...people measure TDS of hard water too which is not true indicative of hardness

Hi Prachi. I wanted a suggestion from you. My hair is very thick, dry and frizzy and till now I was using khadi Amla and bringraj shampoo but now it has made my hair too rough since the last 2 washes. Could you please please please suggest me a good organic shampoo and a conditioner which will be good for my hair and makes it frizz free and soft. It would mean a lot to hear from you. To increase acidity or reduce the ph Soap nut Or Shikakai is a good option

Using alum in salt water for past 2mnths...we have to put 1spoon alum powder in a bucket of water before 2hrs of usage..while using the water to hair wash ,will leave last 2 mugs of water ...much better than salt water

Not sure if you can help me suggesting a step wise solution (out of your precious knowledge) for bathing only - one for bath tap and second for bath shower.
