Why Aftermarket Fairing Companies SUCK!! | Ride Rehab ep.12
I hate to do it, but this is a rant about the troubles I've had with trying to locate fairings for this 2009 Ninja 650. Between lack of availability, poor communication, and subpar businesses, it has been one frustrating ordeal to finish this project bike. It's not having to wait that is the issue. It's being told one thing, then not being updated, or informed when a deadline cannot be met. I feel this video was necessary to let other folks who may be searching for aftermarket fairings, know exactly what to expect when looking to purchase. Hopefully, some of you have had, or will have better luck in finding quality aftermarket fairings, from aftermarket fairing companies.

Hope they have for you. Checked my tracking and its arrived here (England) today taking 11 days. Still got to go though customs etc. Once it arrives to me I can let you know everything is fine and correct. (if you want to order) They have paypal so hopefully shouldn't have any issues. It's my first time ordering though.
I just emailed them. They have most of the main pieces in stock. Did you get yours as a package set or as individual pieces?
That's good news!! As individual pieces as only needed one side. The right fairing was complete, including decals and I needed the inner plastic bit too.
Arrived today in a Kawasaki box with Kawasaki stickers on the packaging. Fitted fine and definitely OEM.

I have a 09 650R also and bought a fairing kit off Ebay and I went with all black. I also got a red rear shock to swap out in place of my silver one. I found your videos after I ordered everything and seen you went the same direction and had the same vision I did. Loving your content

Tremonte yeah that’s fine but I don’t want to patronize a vendor who has screwed over someone I know! That’s why these reviews and commentary are important.
I know exactly how you feel bro I have a 2001 Triumph Daytona 955i and I cannot find fairings to save my life I'm going to have to go used and I'm going to have to buy them individually off of eBay because nobody sells a full kit that will fit my bike not unless you want like a 2008 to 2012 or some s*** like that I tried to explain to them that I have a 2001 and that's not going to fit but it's like speaking to a person that doesn't speak English
Man I can totally relate, sometimes it's like peeling an onion with these things. A quick look around from my end is limited to compression mold kits, with the sole injection mold option being for an ER 6S...which, given that model suffix, doesn't instill a lot of faith. That's listed on NiceCycle's website for $760, +50 for the bolt kit. And that's why I'm all about naked/street fighter bikes lol.
Getting replacements direct from Kawasaki might be the way to go, but my limited experience with that route is that they come unpainted. Not a problem for me personally as I'm likely to rattle can anything with bedliner given the opportunity...Final option in my book is checking around on rider forums for anyone who's adapted other fairing kits to the bike. That's coming from my time in the EX500 community, where fitting a GSXR tail just for laughs was pretty commonplace.
NiceCycle is one that screwed me. Horrible service from those guys. OEM May be the route I go

Order the Yoshimura Alpha Full System Exhaust on eBay from two different vendors they both canceled my order after three days. Vendors excuse was they didn’t have the item in stock, one of the vendors was like I can have one in three weeks shipped out to me lol, I was no thank buddy. Feel your frustration. Don’t know what is going on with eBay, just going to order it though amazon
Use the Amazon link in the description of this video. The vendor I link to almost always has both the stainless and carbon in stock, with free shipping.

Yeah. I’ve found parts here and there, but a lot of them have some sort of damage needing repair or are full track pieces. No opening for headlamps etc.

My last suggestion would be to look at a scrap yard.
Could take long but ... yeah it seems it already took some time, so why not ^^.

First problem is it's a ninja650!
I definitely think you should retitle this video I think you had more of an issue with custom fairings
Fiberglass race body, get it on the track only.
everss02 that was actually one of my thoughts. Unfortunately the nearest track is 4+ hours away.
Now I know what you're going through, Couldn't you find anyone who could make this with fiberglass? I know it wouldn't be as clean but it could lead to another video in itself.
There is a thermal form company here in town. The cost of them making a set for me... I could buy 2 sets of OEM lol
