To everyone upset about Matt saying it was a 74,000lbs RV... As I understand it from people who teach recovery operations, when a vehicle like this is buried to the floor pan, you calculate the pulling force load on your recovery equipment as 3x the weight of the vehicle. This is to ensure all your equipment is capable of withstanding the weight + friction of pulling a non-rolling mass sideways with a large margin for safety. I'm not a recovery expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Since the RV is obviously nowhere near 74k, it would have been nice if Matt would have explained the number, like 74k includes appropriate safety margin calculations, or something like that. Lots of comments on that figure, some people think it actually weighs that much, some think it's even heavier than that. Incredible.
Lol nobody is upset. But he said " that is 74.000 pounds of RV stuck in there". This is not calculated resistance pull weight. Btw you have charts for off road pulls depending how stuck vehicle is. You do not just go 3x up no mather what lol.
I remember a pretty similar recovery like 3-4 years ago, same kind of big RV stuck in mud, and he pulled it out with kinetic pulls with the Banana. Took forever! Granted they didn't have the wrecker back then, it's a hell of a good winching platform.
Don't forget he also used Radio's!!! In Matts "defense" he has never said traction boards have no use ever. What he says is "if you can get YOURSELF out with traction boards you were never really stuck", and the RV did not get out under its own power using traction boards
6:30 there was a time when Matt would use the banana to aggressively rubber band, the vehicle out of the hole, but these days Matt has been blessed with a winch.
@@anotherdave5107 Matt's saying is "if you can get YOURSELF out with traction boards you were never really stuck" the RV did not get itself out, it still needed lots of help.
Just had this idea, y'all should get one of those mini cameras that attach to a dog's collar and put it on peanut for when you bring her, just for a fun be camera angle/view.
Let me tell you a little something about beards turning red from personal experience. Mine went from its natural brown color to red....then eventually full white. The red part is the natural brown losing pigment until the final white phase. I predict Matts going to be Santa Clause at the company Christmas party in a few years 😂😂
Matt using taction boards means this is a serious job. A lot of winches were used on that heavy weight. Easy job for the B-Team tipping the SxS back over.
Why didn't he/you use the hydraulic jacks? I have one of these and put a board/pad under the jacks, which will lift the entire motorhome. Wheels off the ground then fill (pad) under the wheel and repeat. Gets the frame off dirt, wheels higher.
Because he has tow vehicles and winches?????!!! I dunno, that may have something to do with the method he employs. Go start ya own company, "Jack's Jacks" or something. I promise I'll comment.
Most of the time theyre just for leveling the RV, raising the RV on unleveled ground can easily damage them, especially if there is any added suction from the mud
Good thing Jamie showed up to a rescue in her flip flops lol. My wife does the same when we go camping up at Rausch creek ATV club in Pa., always stubbing her toes😂😂😂😂😂
It is terrifying to know that there are people that probably don’t have the experience to be driving a 74,000lb vehicle down the road. After doing a little research there is no way it was 74,000, more like 30,000 at most.
Matt... If you fire up the rig and disconnect the leveling arm to the air bags, you can gain two to three inches of body clearance when you over inflate the air bags., Doesnt do any good to get the frame off the ground but sure helps the digging clearance and body damage when you pull it out.
All I have to say is , " You Can't FIX STUPID " !!!! What possessed that man to think he wouldn't get in TROUBLE !!!! Driving on Sand with a BIG RV like that !!!!
Interesting you are using traction boards. Just as they are intended. I seem to remember you saying (if you used a traction board to get out you weren't stuck at all.)
I cant even begin to count all the times we helped people that buried their RVs to the frame at the dunes. Literally every trip to the dunes we would help 3 or 4 RVs get unstuck. If the drivers knew to keep moving and keep their momentum they wouldn't get stuck. But in their defense people would stop in front of them or they would have to slow down or stop for others.
It doesn't get any better than this video with Jaymie wearing her rescue flip flops to pulling out this huge RV out with the big wrecker then the Moorvair flipping the sxs back on its wheels.
Max Trax work a whole heap better if the they not upside down. I know it wasn't for actual traction, as the winches were doing the work, but they flex less and the sloped ramp part helps the wheels get up onto them. Those things have helped 1000s of Aussies self recover from VERY stuck situations.
Cripes! That guy is a wild man with his motorhome..... Mine's ballpark same size, I'm scared to leave pavement very much with it. So low slung, 24K lbs...... I'm a wimp.
@@angelolamantia Yeah. 74.000 lbs is weight of 75 ton rotator on 4 heavy duty axles. 😁 I think he just said that to make more comments. He knows this is not close to that weight.
30,000# RV gave two and a half times it's weight in resistance to be unstuck...74,000# resistance until it was on solid ground and rolling freely, then resistance went to 30,000#. Used 30,000# as an example, not knowing actual weight

I had a Boss once who used to tell me I was 'BRAVE' Matt.. I learned that she actually meant 'STUPID' 😂🤣😂
LOL at Matt going from no winching to mostly winching, and now from disliking traction boards to using them. He's making good progress!

Ever wonder how people get the money to buy expensive toys that they aren't bright enough to drive ?
6:30 there was a time when Matt would use the banana to aggressively rubber band, the vehicle out of the hole, but these days Matt has been blessed with a winch.
True but the Banana as we know it is still out of commission. Hopefully Matt can get the Banana back on the road!
I 'member when Matt scoffed at the idea of using a winch.
Traction boards??? Guess they weren't really stuck. 😂
Exactly what I thought!
and Im sittin here yelling, "DONT RUN OVER THE ROPE" lol

They tried that with Lady, didn't work.
One of the few that puts out good wholesome content. I really like how he makes everyone drive everything. He's got a great team
Matts response right in the beginning was his inner Wrecker Rick showing 😂😂

That would have been so much more work, and it looks like his method worked perfectly right?

When those jacks sink in the dirt they don't come back up and now you have to drag them through the dirt as an anchor... ask me how I know!
I'm looking forward to see Jamie with the very same Sandals in the snow. 🙂
WOW that was a great show of teamwork . Matt you got them working like a well oiled machine.

Yeah you can drive a 40+ foot motorhome off the lot that has a GVWR of 50k+ lbs with just a standard drivers license and no training.
Man driving down there in that bus is one of the least wise things ive ever seen 😂
Great job.
Teamwork in your group is awesome.
You guys made short work of that RV. Another job well done 👏
Lol, the customer instantly throws on the MORR tshirt. 👌😂
Back in the early days you would have pulled that out with the Banana and a Yankum.
Matt...

Flat out amazes me what people try to drive on the beach at sand hollow..... I couldn't help myself from asking what the hell they were thinking?.
Wild. Yall kick butt.
Nice dog mid-poop at 2:46 ! Nice camera work :D
Bringing all the horses is better than having to go back and get more horses 🤠
Better to have & not need than need & not have
I see that Jaymie has her Sandals on !
2:10 Ha, I was wishing for that Vanilla Ice “yo, I’ll solve it” joke in a previous vid, and they granted my wish here. Christmas came early!
I am always amazed by perfectly reasonable people that will take their vehicles into unreasonable places.
Even ones that cost more than my house
A lot of hard work to make that look easy...!!

"74,000 lbs of RV" Impossible! 24,000 maybe.
Yeah, I have a 40’ Country Coach of the same vintage. FULLy loaded I”m right at 30k.

might need to start charging your opinion on traction boards. Last couple recoveries, ya'll have used them. haha. Love it. great job.
If he's using them, I'd say his opinion has changed
so not really suck, since traction boards were used
Why I truly believe class A motorhomes should require a special license and training prior to driving them.
74,000 lbs? Slight exaggeration, the GVWR on those is about 36k.
it says 90k pounds on the official website

Nothing better than starting your day with fresh hot coffee and a new MORR video.
Agreed, that is the way to start the morning
Definitely, I just wish it were longer 16 minutes isn’t enough
I think this is more then the wrecker could have handled. Good thing there's a all star team behind it.
You've heard the song "ocean front property in Arizona". Now would be a good time for Beached Whale in Utah.
Dynasty Monaco is 29,000 GVWR
Great job people!!
I have faith in you and your team, Matt.
Good job landing that whale!
***"Bravest Man I ever met"***
Isn't that a bit like saying
"Bless your heart"
🤣🤣🤣
No where close to 74,000 lbs those rigs top out at 30,000
Just curious why you don't do anything with Fan Rats anymore. Thanks for the great recoverys!

Good job!
Caitlyn / Jaymie Rebelle Rally 2025. Matt and the boys crew would make a good series.
Whatever happened to the good ol days with a rope and a Morvare? Didn't you once say the Morvare could pull an RV out with the Yankem rope?
Matt! You pulled Eagle 5 out of the muck!
a tank bridge - is the ideal deployable unit for these sort of recoveries - would truly get it out in no time...
What was awesome is Jamie pulling winch rope in flip flops 🩴 😂😂😂. Keep it up gang
Caitlyn - wow, that was a big load.... 😮😅
6:28 - Is this really the best place to stand for this pull?
That’s Americans right there 🇺🇸🦅
12:36 some red bull for a yellow goat
I use to always admire how Matt would never make to stuck person feel like an idiot......
Camping by that lake must be really boring as all those rubberneckers have nothing better to do than stand around watching.
Buried to the frame is no problem! Now if it was to the windows that would be a problem! Goooooood morning everybody!
Coyotes running around out here !!! Hahahah
A new adventure of Captain Redbeard with his son, Kurly Kaulin. 😁
Great videos,comment for the channel.
That poor old Monaco. May have been its last trip.
Matt using traction boards?????
What next??? Diesel engines in all the recovery vehicles?????
New project for you: Build a compact custom "Razor" type recovery vehicle. Tilt back, 4wheel steer and winches
Walter White vibes about that thumbnail
Wrecker Rick calls those RV’s “Diesel Pushers” which think is a better word than “RV” to describe those machines
Jaymie going out on a recovery dressed like she's ready for a date is pure fire!
I see the crew was "digging" this recovery.
You guys put an awful lot of faith in that toe hitch.
Good job, Matt and crew. But where in the world did you come up with 74,000 pounds for that motorhome? It is probably around 30,000 pounds.
37000
it says 118k pounds on the website
This is the 2nd rv I've seen being rescued from this spot now
Crazy people can be so clueless to bring an RV this large into an area like this. 🤦
Sometimes I miss the old Matt that would have used kinetic energy ropes and every vehicle he had to pull that RV out
How on earth did that fool think driving a monster on sand was a good idea?
Brave?? I would have had a another Description for this!!
Sure wouldn’t want to get that rental jeep after it’s been used for recovery work.
what is up with Jamie's footwear... hahahaah I think she deserve a nice work boots... Matt!!!
You used to be able to get a thing like that out with the banana and a kinetic rope!
All good!
Unfortunately money can't buy you brains 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 nice recovery 💪👍
You need to crawl under there and overinflate the airbags like Murphy's diesel did🎉😂
Nothing a proper application of force can’t fix
You totally crushed it again! Keep being awesome.
That old boy doesn’t wear Tshirts ever!
A 74,000 lb RV and no CDL required. Incredible!
Try closer to 34,000 pounds of RV stuck in there.
Brave?.......im gona go with idot! 😂
Awesome 🤘
