For anyone wondering about the cat, Dex-Starr has a pretty sad origin. He was picked out as a kitten by a kind woman. She said he made her life better, and he'd say the same if he could talk. One night, a burglar broke in, and attacked him, and when his owner cried for help, shot her. Dexter was then kicked out of the apartment when the cops showed up, thinking he was a stray that could contaminate the crime scene. He lived on the streets for a while until two guys decided to bag him and throw him off a bridge for sick kicks. He had such prominent rage in his heart, a Red Lantern ring picked him out. He killed the two guys, returned to his old apartment, and with a newfound intelligence thanks to the ring, thought "I find one who hurt you. I kill. I good kitty." with a single tear in his eye.

All I can picture in my head is Dempsey fighting off a horde of zombies with a ray gun in hand, while yelling: "BEWARE MY POWER. GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT."
For those who may not know, allow my to explain why the Red Lanterns are the absolute worst of the Lantern Corps to join. For starters, while you already need to have incredible rage to become a member, a red power ring only fuels that rage to the point where a red lantern never feels any other emotion, you’d just be angry all day every day. And for most Red Lanterns, their anger becomes so strong, that it takes over their minds. Most Red Lanterns lose their sense of reason and become like feral animals! But that’s not even the worst part. The worst part is that once you dawn a red power ring, you’re essentially dead! Let me explain... That red liquid that Atrocitus spews out of his mouth is exactly what it looks like: His own blood. Once you put on a red ring, your heart dies and your blood spoils, turning into boiling hot plasma to use as a weapon. The only thing keeping you alive now is the ring, and if it were ever to be removed from your finger for any reason, you would die almost instantly! You might be thinking, “Okay, then I’ll just keep the ring on! I mean it gives me cool powers, so I probably wouldn’t have taken it off anyway.” Well, maybe you wouldn’t have taken it off willingly, but there’s one more thing to keep in mind. Most power rings choose their bearer based on their emotion and will only stay with them as long as feel that emotion. Blue Lanterns must always be hopeful. Violet Lanterns must always be loving. And of course, Red Lanterns must always be furious. While the ring may fuel your anger, it’s still possible to feel other emotions. But if you ever feel any other emotion (particularly love), the ring will deem you unworthy and leave you. And again, the moment the ring decides to leave you is the moment your life comes to an grinding halt. So if you ever were to put on a red ring, your choices from then on would be either blinding rage 24/7, or an early grave! So... yeah. Probably one of the few powers that are worse than being powerless!
Still worth it. Learn how to turn rage into wrath and you become like Atrocitus, or bathe in the blood fountain to regain your senses. And you can learn how to use rage for more productive purposes rather than only destruction. The Red Lantern Corps is like a master yourself exercise to the extreme, basically.
There is a way to remove it with the assistance of the Blue Lanterns as they’re the only ones who can remove a red ring without killing the wearer. Though unless you’re a kryptonian like Supergirl, you’re basically screwed.

Question, if Hal hates Atrocitus and has the willpower to stop him, but is fighting on rage against Atrocitus' actions, would that make him more powerful as a Green Lantern? Would it also give Atrocitus more power because he can feed off the rage? Would it make Hal a Red Lantern because he's fighting based on rage, which is what is fuelling his willpower? Would it make Hal a Red AND Green Lantern? I was just wondering.
To fight as a Green Lantern isn't to be free of other emotions. What's important is that you can still feel rage, sorrow, fear, ect; but you have the willpower to /overcome/ those feelings and do what needs to be done. A Red Lantern is one who has let their rage and hate overwhelm them to the point where it's all they are. As for the powers; again what matters is that Hal's heart is strong enough to overcome his rage. It's that strength that feeds his ring's might. Atty and Dex /do/ feed off of what rage he does feel though and it does make them stronger than they would be at neutral~
I guess so, but still, I'm sure there was a better, less "hey, look who is here" way. Maybe have him debate between heading straight for Brainiac (like Wonder Woman wanted) or helping civilians (Like Batman wanted)
I always liked Adam Baldwin as Hal Jordan, but man Steve Blum did a hell of a job as Hal for Injustice 2. Hope he'll be able to voice him again in the future as he became one of my favorite VA for the character.
Honestly after what Hal had a hand in doing, he doesn't fucking deserve to recite the Green Lantern oath. Now I KNOW Sinestro was to blame for tricking Hal, but that doesn't change the fact that Hal killed a LOT of Green Lanterns during the war, Guy Gardner included, who was his FRIEND.
bowseraniki "I went through hell and back to earn this ring." Flash: "So you're green again?" Green Lantern: "Barry, you know it doesn't work like that." Hal wants to redeem himself from being seduced by the power of fear, you be the hero he once was. He may not deserve to be a hero, but he deserves to be given the chance to strive to be one again.
Marvel fans: we have Spiderman, Ironman, and all kinds of other cool stuff. What do you have? DC fans: We have Batman and a cat that vomits blood on people.
Fun fact, Dex-Staar (The cat) is the most rage filled and angry of all of the red lanterns, there are arguments that he should run the Red lantern corps.
Not trying to prompt vengeance: Some people have done wrong without remorse and care and go on with their lives like nothing happened and attempt to forget; even after time passes, they are not sorry but proud of what they have done. For someone who was wronged, he or she would come after them. People who have wronged someone in the past will wonder what they have done to deserve being taken down. They want to act like they are the heroes and victims, but they are not. They refuse to deal with what they have done in the past. They would care when the same thing happened to them to which they use double standards and hypocrisy. Regardless on whether that someone gets vengeance (or payback) or not, the people who have done wrong, don't deserve to be defended, instead, they deserve to face the consequences.
For anyone wondering about the cat, Dex-Starr has a pretty sad origin. He was picked out as a kitten by a kind woman. She said he made her life better, and he'd say the same if he could talk. @@lunakingsley.7247 shao khan was made before Atrocitus his First appearances was: Green Lantern vol. 4 #25 (December 2007) Chronological first appearance: Green Lantern vol. 4 #29 (May 2008). And shao khan was Mortal Kombat II (1993).
Atrocitus is taking stomach acid to a whole new level.
0:04 Shao Kahn wins! *FATALITY*
You mean Hal Jordan
Man really shows up for one chapter, shows off his cat, gets beat up, leaves, doesn’t explain
For someone with a Lantern ring, Atrocitus seems to be more of a bruiser, and is able to get some extra hitsa with Dex-Starr.
0:41 "in time, you will know what's it like to lose. To feel so desperately that your right, only to be wrong"
that's really disgusting spitting Hal
Yh😂😂
Ikr it looks like blood though ;-;
Think its napalm, but the paradox is that it is so disgusting i would be infuriated by it and likely lose the mind battle thus becoming a red lantern because of it.
@@Mindlessyesterday it is blood.
@@blahblah3775 then the game should get an m rated rating then
In fearful day, in raging night,
With strong hearts full, our souls ignite,
When all seems lost in the War of Light.
Look to the stars, for hope burns bright!
"Beware my power! Green Lanterns light Magot Addicts!!"
Hal Jordan: **gets slightly angry**
Atrocitus:👀
This Hal is the greatest Hal Jordan I have seen
Question, if Hal hates Atrocitus and has the willpower to stop him, but is fighting on rage against Atrocitus' actions, would that make him more powerful as a Green Lantern? Would it also give Atrocitus more power because he can feed off the rage? Would it make Hal a Red Lantern because he's fighting based on rage, which is what is fuelling his willpower? Would it make Hal a Red AND Green Lantern?
I was just wondering.
mind fuck
To fight as a Green Lantern isn't to be free of other emotions. What's important is that you can still feel rage, sorrow, fear, ect; but you have the willpower to /overcome/ those feelings and do what needs to be done. A Red Lantern is one who has let their rage and hate overwhelm them to the point where it's all they are.
As for the powers; again what matters is that Hal's heart is strong enough to overcome his rage. It's that strength that feeds his ring's might. Atty and Dex /do/ feed off of what rage he does feel though and it does make them stronger than they would be at neutral~
30secondstomarsMBH you just blowed my mind
I'm pretty sure Kyle Rayner at one point was a lantern of every corp all at the same time.
They Mix In & he'll become the first Brown Poo Lantern...🤓
Shao Kahn’s voice yup he is terrifying
My man is turning into a traffic light
0:05 when you catch that person who’s been saying John Stewart is the better lantern
John Stewart is my favorite and always will be my preference but there is no doubt he is eclipsed by Hal Jordan. No contest whatsoever.
When I see the thumbnail, I 100% thought he would said 'Im green lantern'
bruh everyone gangster until Frank Castle gets ahold of a red lantern ring 💀
No way this game is 7 years old already
"I do hate myself for what I've don"
Same bro
Atrocitus is voiced by the same guy who voices shao kahn in mortal Kombat 11 and mortal Kombat 1
I'd like to see Larfleeze in the next game:)
I'm 3 years late but what about star sapphire
@@davidwhitted289 I’d love that!
Black lantern Nekron I’d love to see that
I absolutely love Atrocitus
I don't know. Fight seems kinda forced to be honest. I mean, the story would be the same without him in it.
Togepi1234 Gaming that is kinda true i felt the same way but it IS a good oportunity to show that hal is a changed man
I guess so, but still, I'm sure there was a better, less "hey, look who is here" way. Maybe have him debate between heading straight for Brainiac (like Wonder Woman wanted) or helping civilians (Like Batman wanted)
The whole story is like that.....
That's almost half the fights in this game
same with the joker
Fun fact:
The Star Sapphires and Red Lanterns are the only corps that can make lanterns through crystallization, and for red lanterns, infection.
It's funny how the characters get back up and fall on their knees after being beaten XD
Atrocitus is the therapist we all need
I think I could be a blue lantern, I always look for the good in people and try to be the best person I could be.
This is why Hal Jordan is considered to be one of the greatest if not THE greatest Green Lantern.
MK vs DC: The rage!!
Injustice 2: THE RAGE!!!
I always liked Adam Baldwin as Hal Jordan, but man Steve Blum did a hell of a job as Hal for Injustice 2.
Hope he'll be able to voice him again in the future as he became one of my favorite VA for the character.
When your worst enemy and your worst enemy's cat take turns vomiting on you:
Atrocitus is easily one of my favourite DC villains
2:25 is a reference to the cover of the comic when Hal became evil and killed a bunch of Green Lanterns and took their rings
MegatronusOrionpax 137 it’s not really a reference
Hal truly had remorse and wished he never made the wrong decisions.
Steve Blum reciting the GL Oath: EPIC.
"You were the best of us, Hal."
I'd say it's more a matter of what he believes, rather than what he deserves. :)
bowseraniki "I went through hell and back to earn this ring."
Flash: "So you're green again?"
Green Lantern: "Barry, you know it doesn't work like that."
Hal wants to redeem himself from being seduced by the power of fear, you be the hero he once was. He may not deserve to be a hero, but he deserves to be given the chance to strive to be one again.
I agree with Jack and Jorge
In the Injustice 2 comics I've seen all what Hal went through to earn his second chance.
As Mainstream Green Lantern puts it: "So you ditched green and went yellow, the color of cowardice"
This oath is so powerful . I'm sure he could solo the entire dc universe with it
Batman and Superman writers would say otherwise.
@@SpiritualBattle420 dc need to get rid of these two they outshine everybody else
Tank Dempsey even kicks ass in DC.

Marvel fans: we have Spiderman, Ironman, and all kinds of other cool stuff. What do you have?
DC fans: We have Batman and a cat that vomits blood on people.
Marvel: we got a racoon with a cockney accent. And he lost the accent
DC: Our best detective is a freaking chimp
1:49 lmao the cat too trying to get in on the action
Fun fact, Dex-Staar (The cat) is the most rage filled and angry of all of the red lanterns, there are arguments that he should run the Red lantern corps.
The cat red lantern is probably my favourite thing in the whole DC universe tbh.
Are we just gunna ignore how Hal Jordan be looking like 2017 Kane in the thumbnail?
i mean.. who wouldnt feel anger after being thrown up on the face by someone and their cat
3:53 Well, that's beyond redemption

Not trying to prompt vengeance:
Some people have done wrong without remorse and care and go on with their lives like nothing happened and attempt to forget; even after time passes, they are not sorry but proud of what they have done.
Regardless on whether that someone gets vengeance (or payback) or not, the people who have done wrong, don't deserve to be defended, instead, they deserve to face the consequences.
vengeance isn't everything.
Injustice 2, as played by someone who has no idea how to block.
A good offense.is the best defense
Alexander Christopher even the most gentle stream will erode the toughest rock.
sometimes i wish i had a kitty like Dex-Starr
