Good review from Chris Moss, that Suzuki makes a lot of sense.

I would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the V Strom 800 RE vs Honda NC750 X.

      Me too.

Me too, although looking just at air filter change, the RE wins! Not the most important criteria, I realise, but certainly one of them! I’m looking seriously at this, rather than the NX750. Good luck in your consideration! 👍

Excellent review as always from Mossy, legend. Might have to trade in my 2010 gen 1 for this, shame about no cruise but oh well, Atlas or similar locks exist. Love the simplicity, can’t wait to try 1.

I went looking for his review after seeing him sitting on that bike chatting up some chick,on another channel :)

My next bike I think, pity they didn't add cruise, it's a nuisance not to be able to rest the throttle hand whilst touring.

      @ewganhoff ปีที่แล้ว +1

Not quite the same, but a 30 quid throttle clamp does nearly the same job. The only difference is you'll decelerate and accelerate whe you go up or down hill.

Another excellent review Mossy, it's great to get your views on it given the perspective you have from riding many miles on the DE. The RE in that colour with luggage, heated grips, handguards and a centre stand (do Suzuki offer one of those?) would be my idea of an all round utility bike that is great fun to ride and reasonably priced to buy and run. Looking forward to seeing this at the NEC show👍👍

The RE looks good from San Diego. Not going after the transalp 9% hp cut in the USA. Suzuki has it on toque. Plus that look good too.

For the uninitiated, that area of France has some amazing roads, even Millau village below the viaduct is worth a visit. You could easily spend 2 weeks around that area, from C/F to Andorra, return back to the ferry out of Santander!
Really liking this bike, nice upgrade from the Tracer7,set of handguards a sumpguard and a de-cat exhaust system, good to go!

I’m torn, don’t know, DE or RE? Have more gravel touring available. RE on tarmac ya, but boo on gravel😢

Be absolutely fine on the gravel, just change the tyres. It has more ground clearance than the honda nx500. All this you cant ride this or that bike off road is nonsense. Plenty of videos of non off road bikes going off road, tyres is the key.

Dont understand why they removed C.C for the road biased version. Would consider one if they added it.

Anytime you have a question about why they didn't add or remove a certain feature, the answer is ALWAYS cost. The DE doesn't have it either.

I wanted to purchase one in blue in the USA! Just found out they only have the one in green, that stopped me from purchasing one! C’mon Suzuki give us options in colors! 😡

Didn't they lower this bike (quite unnecessarily because we have enough bikes for shrimps) by making the seat less comfortable?
800DE problem like right leg cooking and vibration in feets exists also here?

Eye of the beholder, it’s no Ducati but I like the looks, for an ADV. Not sure if I prefer the blue or green. I’d place a deposit if it had cruise. Still might
