great stuff, will check this when I need to change tips. I keep wearing the metal to the nubs and need to replace them soon. BUT This past weekend in east Sooke I broke a Cascade carbon pole (fairly inexpensive) right near the tip. It was still usable and a little pebble became conveniently lodged into the end. When I got home I squeezed on a wide basket and stuck a rubber foot on the bottom - extra bits which came with the poles. Will keep on using it.

Just here enjoying an evening of TH-cam, and the algorithm pops up a man pulling on a pole trying to get the tip to come off. 😂
