OMG, such musicianship and people walk straight by. Even if you don't like the genre, you have to appreciate the skill and artistry. (All except the dad in the background with the 2 kids. Kudos to him for exposing his kids to live music.)
not everyone is a fan of the bass sound, especially when played fast like this. sure he might be talented but if people aren't enjoying the sound its making they wont stick around

I was going to comment on what an uber-baddass this guy is but your comment was so perfect I couldn't think of anything to say but thanks. Your comment made me stop and think. It's important to recognize when you're in the presence of greatness. It's special and important. It doesn't matter what the person is great at. I've seen many of the world's finest bassists play, (geddy, Chris Squire, Flea for examples) live and IMO this guy is their equal.
@@Ppuffdiddleydangdoof i appreciate that you listed Ged first. im a Rush nerd ...the other guys are unreal of course, but i connect with Rush music on a deeper level. Geddy Lee wrote hemispheres (and much more) by the age of 25. at 25 the only thing i accomplished was rolling the perfect joint lol

This is amazing. He has a couple other versions of this. The other two versions I've seen are cleaner and must faster. In one version he has a Drummer who is simply a beast and in the pocket!

The dude looks pretty satisfied at this moment. A lot street musicians already have bands and decent audience to perform for.
Street performance helps to build self-confidence. Ability to play in harsh conditions. Social skills etc. Even top musicians do this from time to time. Crowd is passing by, they all have their routine and troubles and they're not oblidged to hang out.
I believe, he can easily find the club or other stage to perform for more "prepared" and warmed audience. Id love to see him
