Beautiful collection! Great review. I agree with the comments regarding the #4... I think many times it is the most beautiful of all the ponytail dolls
i like your style, Ian. i find that buying dolls and accessories in need of TLC are the most rewarding to have. Because once you've cleaned it up and fixed it with your own hands, it makes the items so much more valuable. i was just talking to a friend of mine about the "Friday Night Date" dress. i bought it cheap, but it was in pretty bad shape. It took some scrubbing, sewing and having to glue on the little felt pieces, but it's good as new now. It looks nothing like it did when i bought it, and now i treasure that dress.
You have a lovely collection. Nice job on the restorations. It is so satisfying to fix up older dolls. My friend Adam has a wonderful Barbie collection similar to yours. I did film them once if you were interested. There is a video on my channel. I love Barbie’s too and played with them as a little girl. I collect 16” and 18” fashion dolls now but I still have a soft spot for Barbie. You have a nice calming voice to listen to. ☺️
I just recently watched your video about vintage barbie I love all your collections and they are very informative. I have some vintage ponytail and bubble cut barbie in my collection.
How wonderful for you to share your vintage collection. I too will go to sales to get a fairly priced Barbie doll and her friends and clean them up to my liking. Your collection was very thorough and thought through very well. Your dolls are beautifully dressed and so nice and clean. Look forward to watching more!
This is a great collection, thanks for sharing~ I also love this earlier era and how intense yet glamorous their faces are - and 100% agree that finding damaged dolls and repairing for a fraction of the price is the best way to go. It's also a great way to potentially get some OOAK in without feeling bad since they needed to be fixed up regardless. At least the Malibu legs on the stewardess looks like she's wearing hosiery and intentionally done! Great work on cleaning them all up!
Wonderful collection!!!! I also will probably never own a #1 ponytail but have quite a few brunette and blonde #3s (including one that has barely faded and was never played with, and yes, she's my most prized gal in my collection.) I actually think I prefer the #3's softer, more demure look, and to me, she is the quintessential Barbie. I loved yours! I also love the #4s, not only because they retain their beautiful skin tone, but the texture of their velvet is so smooth... like velvet! And I see that you also have the Sears Barbie/Skipper deluxe House from 1965! Isn't that such a cool house? Very Mid Century Modern!
Wow! What an exquisite vintage collection you have! Your dolls are just lovely! You are certainly a very talented person in restoring some of these dolls. They look absolutely beautiful 😍! How long have you been collecting Barbies? Do you only do restorations on your own collection, or do you have a business in Barbie doll restoration? I truly enjoyed seeing your collection! ❤❤
Thank you so much! I have been collecting a little over two years now. :) Currently, I just do my own restorations as I am fairly new to it. I might consider doing comissions one day if my skills get a little better! Thanks for watching!
The green "Theatre Date" hat - the bow is supposed to be displayed in the back. That's the way those pill box hat's were worn - it is how my mother wore hers in the 1960s.
Thank you! I can never get the hat to stay on the ponytails because of the curled bangs, so I take some creative liberty and turn the pillbox hat backward when it’s on a ponytail. This outfit would probably look even more stunning on a bubblecut. Thanks for watching!
I create hair bands from Ziploc bags by cutting them into thin strips and using tape to shape them into headbands. If you're careful, you can use a clothes steamer on low heat to steam the hair once the headband is in place, which will heat set the bangs back in position.
Hello. When I was little, my father brought me Barbie from abroad. I think it was a collection between 2000 and 2006. Unfortunately, the children who came to my house were always playing with it. And after a while, it disappeared. I searched through the collection photos and couldn't find it. If you know, I would be very happy if you could help me. Now I'm giving clues as I remember. She was a blonde Barbie with very long hair. She was in a set. She had a lot of accessories. She had earrings. She had pink high-heeled boots. It had suspenders. I don't remember much about her outfit. I only remember her skirt. She had a purple mini skirt. I think it was velvet fabric. Her belt was fuchsia in color and had a white round ring detail. That's all I remember for now. I'm a foreigner, so I used translation. Sorry for the mistakes.

Such a nice comment, thanks for watching! Great point, the darker legs look like nylons, that makes me feel better now! :)

Omg i’m both amazed by your vintage barbies (it smells expensive) and you being so handsome!
Thanks so much :)
How do you keep your AG bangs lay flat? Mine is always mess

Really pretty dolls, thanks for sharing. Do you put original OTs on your dolls or was it just for the video?
