I recently bought the original game and learned the rules using the full v2 rules rewrite in the BGG files section. Was easy to understand and I had no major issues.
I will say, how often is a new edition's box *smaller* than the old's? I have a lot of fond memories of the old (and I never minded the odd numbers, it gave my arithmetic skills some practice), but it's hard to suggest the old one if the new one is available.
I think the old version looks better to me. No doubt they needed to address the rules. I’ve played this game twice and loved it. I’ll stick with my original.
Black Friday seems cool. I owned it for a while, but found the stock market to be very fiddly and hard for new people to grasp. Hab und Gut/The Rich and the good is now my go to light stock market game 😊

The new edition is great. An improvement over everything. Happy I upgraded.

I have that and need to try it! But even if I loved it, I doubt Black Friday is going anywhere. 😁
