A l'époque, la France possédait encore des colonies en Afrique. Pour assoir sa légitimité la France Libre avait besoin de regagner le contrôle des colonies françaises pour avoir une base territoriale à partir de laquelle elle pouvait exercer la souveraineté de la France et combattre les forces de l'Axe.

Ce commentaire est totalement anachronique. Les forces de l’Axe et les Alliés se sont battus pour contrôler la route du pétrole.

Vous pensez vraiment que la France était présente en Afrique "pour aider les Africains"?. A l'inverse, avez vous la moindre idée du nombre d'Africains ayant participé à la reconquète de la France?
