It makes so much sense now .. I’ve seen many kids that looks and acts off but couldn’t figure out what’s different with them.

Yep. Sometimes it’s drugs too. My cousin’s wife was an addict who went on methadone treatment for her pregnancy so she wouldn’t use hard drugs. She smoked the whole pregnancy and her now 11-year-old child is affected by both methadone and the smoking.

And in the foster care system a good 60-70% are suffering from FAS or related prenatal disorders due to substance usage.

As a child born with this.. the way you are supported matters. I had a hard life, kept myself away from people and didn't handle stress well.. as an adult I work on a dementia unit and have for 10 yrs. If it wasn't for the people who adopted and cared for me, I'd have prob been a statistic.

What about dads who drink messing up sperm causing fasd i learned about this from a child protective services case of a friend of mine

There is no evidence that a father's sperm can cause FASD directly, but research says that men's drinking affects the sperm, which may cause the child to be more genetically susceptible to developing FASD.

2:15 so you're not discussing it because ACOUNTABILITY and women are like oil and water?

If men took responsibility and put in more effort he would have known the mother of his child was drinking alcohol and would have intervened.

      @@LuhRen Yes, always blame men.
      My point EXACTLY.
      See, you get it...
Even if my point went right over your fucking head.
Also Intervening with ANY Toxic traits women have these days turns any man in to a "Controlling asshole".
Its even worse when they're pregnant and hormonal. We have no control over women, TAKE RESPONSABILITY for your own actions!

I wish I could find out how to help my niece! She was diagnosed, she’s an over thinker! She has difficulty turning her thoughts off, so she thinks they are voices! These voices are not making commands, they basically tellher bad things about her self, or sometimes they tell her good things! Positive & negative self talk! I’m getting help from doctors but they put her on a mild schizophrenic medication, and it only makes her sleep! That is not healthy or good either! I really don’t think this is the solution! She needs help to quiet her thoughts so she can fuction! I was the same way at her age, I was very critical of myself! However with her With the FASD I don’t think she understands that it’s her thoughts, Idk I’m just lost! I’m going to do anything & everything to help her though!
