I'm a little sad about this mechanic. They could've also toyed with this in mind. (friendly reminder I dunno about the game yet) Like, say, "Volleyball Strike" or smth Uses SP to enter a ready stance and ends the character's turn. If any ally attack is to send an enemy flying towards them, evade the friendly fire damage and launch a follow-up attack with a high chance of critical. The trajectory of where the enemy is sent after the follow-up depends on the initial direction.
You can do something like this, you just need to knock the enemy off of an elevated platform with a teammate nearby on the lower level. The teammate will do a follow-up with their ranged weapon, which changes where the enemy lands + lets the first unit take another action. If you position it right you can get the first enemy to land on a second one, too lol
Plus with the fact BOTH Royal and Strikers were being developed and made around the same time brought some “complications” with the storyline continuity.

Long story short, the spunky loveable girl she is on the surface is the person she pretends to be… and she has anxiety in her heart along with… (Spoilers for P5 R) a complex in regards to her beloved older sister. Growing up with her not being able to do things well without her, even tracing and copying her mannerisms because she finds her true self weak and undeserving of love… she needs a hug.

@@mystery8820 True. Before that point, this person’s goals and backstory I could sympathize with too. But the breaking point was when it was revealed what this person did to Sumire and messing with her already fragile mental state and manipulating her cognition of herself was when I *HATED* their guts. That’s when I made it a personal choice to help her move on in a healthy way and change her outlook on life for the better. While Akechi yes did go through a hell of a life since the beginning, he chose his path in the opposite direction compared to Sumire. He did fight just for himself and that’s what led him down that dark road. The thing I can at least respect about Akechi is that at the end of the day, he sticks true to his ideals to the very end and isn’t afraid to be honest with others.
@@darky1677it's a pretty fun game regardless. The dlc is a side story that doesn't correlate to the story too much. All it does is offer new challenges + 2 characters. Just watch the dlc online it lasts like 5 hours if you really care about the story, otherwise the game is worth it

a complex in regards to her beloved older sister. Growing up with her not being able to do things well without her, even tracing and copying her mannerisms because she finds her true self weak and undeserving of love… she needs a hug.
@@mystery8820 Oof, you said it man. After what she’s been through and what she did to keep up the act for that long made me sympathetic to her. She *REALLY* needs that hug so much. Especially coming from Joker, the one person who accepted her for who she truly was after the events of the (P5R Spoilers) third semester despite the “mask” she held onto for the majority of the game.

Akechi’s is similar and yet he went the opposite direction, he fought only for himself. But he made his stance clear before his big reveal as a major antagonist, as if he wasn’t already.
@@mystery8820 True. Before that point, this person’s goals and backstory I could sympathize with too. But the breaking point was when it was revealed what this person did to Sumire and messing with her already fragile mental state and manipulating her cognition of herself was when I *HATED* their guts. That’s when I made it a personal choice to help her move on in a healthy way and change her outlook on life for the better.
While Akechi yes did go through a hell of a life since the beginning, he chose his path in the opposite direction compared to Sumire. He did fight just for himself and that’s what led him down that dark road. The thing I can at least respect about Akechi is that at the end of the day, he sticks true to his ideals to the very end and isn’t afraid to be honest with others.

@@darky1677it's a pretty fun game regardless. The dlc is a side story that doesn't correlate to the story too much. All it does is offer new challenges + 2 characters. Just watch the dlc online it lasts like 5 hours if you really care about the story, otherwise the game is worth it

I thought akechis supposed to be “ detective prince in this game” but he calls joker an idiot and the way he says the other line makes him sounfd pretty black mask akechi
I was thrown off by his voice in the DLC, too. It's as if Robbie Daymond forgot what Prince Akechi was supposed to sound like because of how long ago he recorded the vanilla game's lines and just rolled with it.
@@austinbruner7498 Or it could be Akechi trying his hardest to keep up the Prince personality, but whenever Joker or Violet gets him under friendly fire he lets his true self (black mask) slip through his facade a bit😂 Mostly towards Joker lmao. The most he is towards Sumi is kinda passive aggressive when she does get Akechi under friendly fire, but internally wants to rip out Joker’s heart when he does it lol

The DLC actually low-key justifies this- the villain/antagonist's art is noted to bring out a person's hidden dark side/repressed "bad" emotions
Man this is some bullshit! South Park: The Fractured But Whole had a similar gameplay mechanic where if you knock and enemy into an ally the ally knocks them down into place.
If/when i get this game I may "friendly fire" Akechi as consequences for what he did in P5R. 😈
