Hallo, thank you very much for your videos...they have helped me very much☺. I have my final driving test next week but am still having trouble switching down to the first gear when I want to turn corners...I find myself coasting along the turn.
Thanks for the video! Really helpful. My test is on Monday evening. I'm very nervous as the there will be a new examiner. Ive done and am doing everything I can to practice. I really hope I pass but I hear a lot of people saying the test is hard. The thing that I am not good at, is the reverse around the corner. I am very slow and not always situated right. I watched your video on the reverse around the corner so will take your tips and try and put them into practice. I look in my mirrors so often but my driving instructor tells me to look more. I think if I look anymore in my mirrors I'll get whiplash. We'll see how it goes but my confidence is fluctuating!
Maria Katrina you're very welcome, best of luck with the driving test, let me know how you get on. I know that the reverse can be tough, did you see my video on steering solution? It's here if you want to check it out th-cam.com/video/CyfyWZur3zo/w-d-xo.html
Dane Tyghe Good news! I passed my test! I haven't got the full report back yet of what I did wrong. However, the examiner was not happy with me and I am surprised I passed according to him. I did the turnabout in 7 turns unfortunately. It was a very narrow road and I was apprehensive about hitting the curb the whole time. Also, as I was going up hill I changed gear too quickly and the car started chugging. I rectified that by going down in gear and then everything was fine. My legs were like jelly I was so nervous, I was doing silly things. I tried not to be too hesitant on roundabouts as my instructor told me I wait too much so I seized safe opportunities to proceed on roundabouts when I could but apparently the examiner thought that was wrong. I also forgot to check my blind spot one time when moving off. I am pleased that I passed but it wasn't the nicest experience. However, thank you for your informative videos! Your tips were very helpful and I put them to use throughout the test. I'll continue to watch them because I know I am still a novice at driving. Have a great weekend!
+Maria Katrina that's great news Maria, congratulations on a wonderful achievement. I understand your nerves, a driving test is a stressful experience and a lot of times we all make mistakes due to the nerves. Well done and thanks for the positive feedback.
The only secondary control for that is your hand or perhaps a cloth or tissue. Even the most optimistic person is not going to find a door mirror demister on a 2003 Corsa.
I think people will still need to learn to drive for at least the next half century to take over in case of a problem with the self driving vehicles. I think self drive will be universal by 2075
Test tomorrow morning, am absolutely bricking it. Your videos have helped so much with my anxiety so far, thank you.
Thanks to your videos I passed my test yesterday, would of being lost without them XX

Naimee Odero Thank you, but you shouldn't be doing turns or corners in 1st gear, 2nd gear should be fine unless you are going very slowly.
Thank you Dane,I was looking for this video😊
Anytime best wishes

Dane, is there any secondary control to de mist my door mirrors? I'm driving 2003 Corsa.

@@DaneTygheletsdrive😂
excellent
Can you do a test in a van that has no back window
Yes
Wich of the following is NOT included under Secondary controls?
1) Temperature Control
2) Air Vents
3) Head Rests
4) Air-intake control
I'm not sure it matters all that much but they are all secondary controls apart from the head rest.
Thank you Dane :)
Best wishes
Unrelated question: When do you think self-driving cars will take over? Will children today need to learn how to drive a car?
I think people will still need to learn to drive for at least the next half century to take over in case of a problem with the self driving vehicles. I think self drive will be universal by 2075
My tester had left the window slightly open.Just to keep it foggy:((((((((.
If the window is slightly open it should help to keep the windows a little clearer
