I am sure you will enjoy it and make sure you do a day trip into Playa and even plan to go early and take the ferry over to Cozumel while you are there. I did that all myself taking the collectivo (their version of bus which is white vans) into town then pay for ferry myself. I used my Canadian bank car at the local Canadian banks ATM (Scotiabank) to take out pecos and paid with them as it was cheaper. Not sure if you have that or not. Take in a few other day trips like Xcaret - fantastic zip lines, rivers etc so take change of clothes bathing suit , I booked that one on line for a discount then took the bus there which was much cheaper than paying at the resort for an arranged tour. I left when I wanted which ended up being at the end of the day. Time went so fast. You will enjoy!
Thank you, I appreciate it. I can be a little negative at times but mostly about the other people at the resorts. This one is one of the better ones especially when it is not as busy. The food here was fairly good being a very picky eater I loved the Sports bar as it was much like any north american sports bar. Also remember to go to Hemingways bar just beside the front desk at the Kentenna as it serves more top shelf spirits that you will not find at the other bars. it opens at 18:00 hrs. and is a much quieter area. Be sure to go to the beach on the White Sands side as it was less busy and I liked it better over there I also liked the pool on that side as it was a bit more shallow and the adult pool is very nice next to it. I hope you have an enjoyable time!
My first room was on kantena side but moved to colonial. There are actually 4 so called hotels as part of the complex. I think the other 2 are more expensive. I love the larger resorts as i like walking and the a ility to find quieter areas. You will enjoy it!
rob ive been doing a ton of research on this resort for a vacation in march. Your video is by far the most precise and real video ive seen on youtube, you did a great job on it. that being said id like to know if you were going to book this resort knowing what you know now , which part of the resort would you book. thanks
Thanks Richard I thought the video might be too long. as for which to book. Kantenah is usually the cheaper side (Kantenah/Colonial) and you can use the rest of the resort. I usually don't spend a lot of time in the room so I am ok with that. The White Sands/Riviera side are more expensive and I have not stayed on that side. They did remodel some of the rooms on that side so perhaps they will be better? Since I am cheap and will ask to change rooms if I dont like the first one I would likely book the Kantenah/Colonial side and I like walking so walk to the other pool and beach area for a change. Really depends on you some do not like to walk far I actually prefer a larger resort so i can walk all over and get some exercise. Hope that helps a little.
I think its only once a day during the day like most resorts. I usually only get it done every 2nd or 3rd day since you really do not spend much time in the room and sheets do not need to be changed every day.

yes room service is included and free, the resort is open 24 hours however only some areas are like the sports bar
