Good job, bro. I flipped three gaming pcs with leftover parts and computers that I had laying around. Made a nice little bit while upgrading my main rig. It’s a fun side hustle.

I’m going to start now since I don’t have a job because of a bat so this seems like a good form of passive income I also subbed this is a really underrated Channel for such great advice even if it’s one month in
Update: to any future flippers pay close attention to socket types and such I just wasted $20 on a cpu cause I thought it said lga 1150 but in reality it said lga 1155 make sure you’re dealing with sellers that know what they are doing and will accept returns if things like this happens do your research properly and you’ll succeed
Update 2: I’ve done it again but 3rd times a charm and now my account is sitting at below what it had started when I opened it
Update 3: both CPU's got refunded
Update 4: parts are coming in
Update 5: seller labeled CPU wrong and I'm returning it and buying a new one this time I have resources to help me see everything from compatibility to performance.
Update 6: got scammed on eBay for ram but it got settled
Update 7:still waiting for a buyer

It's all a learning experience. You may have faced setbacks and failures, but you're not quitting. That says a lot about you.
Through the setbacks, you're also gaining knowledge which will be advantageous in the future and arm you with the ability to turn your setbacks around.
Knowledge and efficiency go hand in hand. Attitude propels or buries, depending on the type of attitude you use.
For example: a fruit farmer experienced a drought that withered his entire crop one summer. Rather than seeing defeat, he focused on finding a solution. He came up with an idea, packaged the withered fruit and labeled it a "Peruvian Delicacy" . . . and the California Rasin company was born.
Attitude is the backbone of both defeat and success. Not quitting shows you're already on the right track.
      Stay strong.

I have been doing this for over 10 years and I can tell you right now you're pursuing it correctly. Don't think small as in flipping a GPU build a system and sell the system higher profit margin. And yes whenever you can by parts that are selling for cheap using the money you make in profit. None of it is coming out of your pocket I look at as free money.

You have to consider the time it takes to do all the other deals to build the rest of the pc. So yes you make $420 if you get the exact same deals and sales price each time. But in the mean time you could have flipped for a neat $120 profit and had $210 cash in hand to invest in your next deal. Say you keep doubling your money 3 times just like building 3 computers. You would make $800 in the same amount of time you project to make $420. Have to consider the velocity of your deals/sales volume in dollars vs quantity.
But if you find joy in the build process then thats a winning formula being able to do what you love. Just trying to help other flippers grow. Also you can leverage yourself with credit and it really isn’t too risky as you know most things you buy are worst case breakevens.
Awesome video, you are a cool guy👍

personally, I feel like quickly flipping is a bit more efficient than building a whole system. when building a whole system, you need the cash for it and spend the time buidling it etc. just buying cheap parts and flipping erases the time needed to build the PC and source out the parts and you can spend that time looking for more parts to flip. however, I do want to eventually get into selling PCs as a whole but due to my situation, its not viable to try and build pcs. not yet atleast. goodluck to yall

An easy guideline that I follow is (if I'm building a budget system), is to grab an i7 2000 series intel cpu, or an i5/i7 3000 series intel. As long as it doesn't bottleneck the gpu you have it paired with. Also, you want at least four cores at this point at a minimum.

Just started flipping too honestly you make the most money off low to mid range builds!
Edit: It's 100% possible to average $220+ profit in the northeast if you buy "right". My rule of thumb is if you have RGB, INTEL, SSD, NVIDIA, Windows and Wifi your build will sell like hotcakes.Yeah GPU prices are up right now but a lot of people need cash now. Is the CPUs in the old prebuild PC's like the optiplex any good? If so then I might have an easier time. There is a hanky way of testing it by shorting the ground and green wire in the 24 pin pin. This will show you if the power supply turns on, but you won't know if it's stable under load until you put it all together. Usually it's recommended to out the whole system together outside the case before assembling it all.

    • @twowheelsusedtech7628

I'd say put an SSD in it, most customers don't know what to attribute slow boot times to, so having a fast boot makes sure they don't mistake the computer for a piece of junk.
That 2400mhz ram makes me "eh" a bit, it's probably fine to leave in there, but with Ryzen you do want to aim for that 3000mhz sweet spot.
Overall though, if you clean it up, know how to set it up for another person, it should be a pretty solid system.

Am I just looking in the wrong places? Am I not being patient enough?
