Last time I drove a tv in the back seat of my car no box and was terrified I am moving again and looked up this video. Very resourceful and smart thanks will be doing this next week
@@geitdinuetah3536 if it makes you feel any better, I packed mine (a C7 also) in the home Depot TV box. I shrink wrapped +taped the entire outside of the box. It survived an hr long move in a box truck **laying down** (I was furious when I got to our place and saw it was packed laying down). Zero issues. I'd recommend the home Depot box, it's maybe $30
Nicely done, it's great for any TV about 50" or smaller and weighing less than 50 lbs, but I'd be concerned that there's no way most people could do this by themselves on a modern flat screen bigger than 60" weighing anywhere from 70-120 lbs with only narrow edges that you can't just grab onto and get hold of. I've moved small TVs like this the same way without much problem, but I don't know how anyone could carefully do this on their own with today's super thin and super fragile big screen OLEDs that can scratch, crack, or bend easily, and they're way more unwieldy to deal with than this older LCD unit. People don't even have the arm span to grab the sides of a 65" TV on their own, much less grab and lift. It's like hoisting a heavy pane of glass without letting go and watching it break, or without damaging the screen finish or the display panel itself. Most product packaging says to never move those big screens by yourself, and any install crew is always a minimum of two guys to lift from both sides. Sometimes there's even a third guy to help guide it onto a wall mount and secure it. And I also have doubts whether typical movers would be as cautious as you are if tasked with removing a big screen from the wall and packing it so thoughtfully. Today's huge displays nearly demand a professional install crew who specializes in moving super large screens.
It’s either a large box or medium box & a moving blanket and lots of packing tape. Now if you want to be really nice to your movers, get a vinyl bag or two old sheets on your mattress, throw a ratchet strap around both short ends of your mattress, pull til snug, not tight and they will have handles and not damage your mattress as easy, also invest in some foam noodles from dollar tree to protect door ways from getting banged up. Good luck on your moves everyone!
FYI you should never lay your tv down on its face, other than that it’s well protected. I suggest laying it down on its back and folding it around the tv, same with the box lay down the cardboard & place the tv on the cardboard on its back and wrap the cardboard around it
Oh, I have to add, after having seen professionally packed and delivered used, or 2nd hand TVs, you used minimal tape. Very efficient. However, you did so out of the sake of making a quick video, which keeps people interested. In reality, you can never use too much tape.
Or buy the box with handles at Home Depot especially designed for transporting, and you can always reuse it again. Plus you'll always know which side is up. Eh I'm smarter haha. Like my brother wanting to keep using an axe or screw driver and I pull out my cordless tools.
Who buys an oled and throws out the box phhhhhhh...... I have also moved so many in the back of a honda civic, just ignore what the retards say about not taking out out of the box and just put it in the back seat like with my lg CX's. They say that because morons don't know how to drive.
No bs TH-cam influencer dialogue, just straight how-to video. Thank you.
Really? Personally, I feel like what this video really needed was an ad for square space 😂
@@GodofVengence maybe 3M or Scotch to help pay for all that tape 😂
This guys is the greatest packer in the world… someone said “lotta tape”, it’s worth protecting my 65” TV 💯🙏🏼
Great video, transported 2 TV's using this method damage free. Thank you!

This makes me wish I kept the box and packaging for my flat screen TV.
Now show a 65" where half the TV is less than 0.2" thick...
Or an 85 lol
Fr man we have a 77 😀
Damn, my exact problem... have to move the LG OLED65c..

Nice, you mean an OLED

I’m trying to figure out how I’m gonna transport my 70 inch… :/
This is the best video I’ve ever seen on TH-cam.

That is smart and beautiful. Well done! Thanks for the video tutorial.
Just what I needed
What size box is that?
I would highly recommend bubble wrap if you can
Thank you, you are the true hero.
This guy knows how to tape
You should have oriented the tv so that the blanket's folds are on the screen side; more padding for the glass front.
I was wondering the same thing, those folds on both sides on the front of the tv would increase protections.
But then you would have an uneven front which is also not ideal
Can you lie the TV once it’s fully packed on its side in the moving truck or does it have to be the bottom of the TV at the bottom?
You should love it right side up
@@ComingSoonOnVHS??
i dont have a moving blanket,so ill use a comforter ?
Bubble wrap
Bloody Brilliant!
Yeah what about an 85"?
That's a lot of tape Ivan!

Great work

Those boxes are also 75-80 bucks. This is a great and significantly cheaper alternative.
Ok but what is that blue wrap thing called
A moving blanket
Thank you! Really helpful!
If this a oled tv?
Box first then blanket.
Thanks for the tutorial!
Nice one my tv box just got damage
Can’t do all that with this 75” LG 😂 dammit
Thank ya!!!
thank youuuu😎😗😗😗
Thanks
Now do it with a 77inch C1 OLED
Next video, how to do this but for an OLED tv…
Bunje bands bro not tape for TV's
If you buy an OLED just keep the original box!

Even if 15yrs later? It's long gone, buy new one
You messed up by laying it face down lol FAIL
Led Tv's can be laid down flat with no problems. The only tv's that will have an issue is a plasma.
@@jonathanjohnson8754 wrong. Laying an lcd flat causes a delamination effect to the crystals. I build tvs for a living for samsung.
Lol who says fail anymore

@Sloth Guru wrong. All flat-screens.
