Totally agree. I just re-watched Terminator, and the guy oozes so much charisma and sexuality. Very unfortunate he didn't become as big as he could've been.
I got to meet Michael Biehn at a con a few years ago. My son was 5 at the time and dressed as Arnold from T2 with an oversized shotgun toy. We did the whole paid photo OP thing and Michael was so nice. After we started walking away he sent one of his guys over to ask us to come back. He ended up "playing guns" with my son for a few minutes and let us snag a few extra pics with our phones. I think he said one of his sons was about the same age at the time and it was just super sweet to see him put a pause on the whole thing to share that moment with us and our son. Fkn cool dude
Hope the marriage thing works out. If not, don't take it personal, don't hate the player, hate the game, they should never have given women rights, they just destroy families at the behest of their lawyers. Check out OJ Simpson's divorce proceedings, the never ending divorce rape, they explain a lot. You can't have a wife and kids in that filthy rotten country unless you're cool with alimony and child support.
Michael Biehn was our guest for a film tribute. He had over 400 people on line and he took his time with each and every person, treating them all as special. We asked the people who were towards the back if they were okay with waiting or should we ask him to speed it up and they said no and Michael gave just as much time and attention to the last as he did to the first. It was impressive to see.
It’s always great to hear about, see, and meet an actor who’s great at their calling and understands and relates to the fans. Even in the podcast near the end talking about going to the cons and how the fans treat him, he seemed a little overwhelmed and appreciative about their positive feedback to him. A class act.
Michael Biehn is a man's man. He is so down to earth, not spoiled or conceited. He tells it like it is. PLEASE bring this beautiful man back to your show! Everyone knows & loves all of Mr. Biehn's movies; however, there is one movie few have seen called The Martyrdom of St Sebastian. Michael stole my heart in this movie. Hopefully when Michael comes back to your show, he'll stay on for 4 or more hours!! I love this dude. I'm 60 years old & I WISHED I had Michael's energy!!!
Awesome to see Michael Biehn have an in depth interview. Hope he comes back on the show soon. Glad to hear he’s recovered from his stroke. My absolute favourite actor as a kid. He should’ve had a bigger career. If Michael ever does an autobiography he should call it “Biehn there, done that”
I'm 41 years old now and everything I see Michael , I'm instantly transported back to my childhood.. Reese and Hicks were my heroes.. because of them roles , I've watched his work throughout out my life and his career. Thank you for having Michael on the show.
I love how Biehn supports the people who care for their movies but still don't succeed. Cameron was talented but also lucky. You need both. You can be super talented and never get a break in your entire life.
Sorely underrated actor who had great intensity and physical ability for his action movies. The scene in Terminator in the car when he revealed the horror of the future war to Sarah and how "We were that close to going out....." is brilliant. He delivered exposition for the story in a believably haunted and strangely nostalgic way. Great actor who needs to be in far more big roles.
You hit the nail right on the head. Interesting that when James Cameron sold Schwarzenegger on the role of the T800 he told him that Reese (whom Schwarzenegger apparently was intent on reading for) was 'just another hero.' Yet, it speaks immense volumes that nearly forty years later we're still talking about Michael Biehn's portrayal of Kyle Reese 🌟
@@reubenalvear1975 It's an amazingly intense performance. The amount of work and dedication he put into that role was incredible, considering the fact that The Terminator was expected to be a silly time travel b movie led by an Australian body builder. Both Biehn and Hamilton are the heart of that film.
I met Michael just last week. He was extremely generous with his time. I asked him about Paul Reiser on Aliens. He had nothing but great things to say. Super nice guy. A straight shooter who makes you feel comfortable. Legend.
Such an underrated performer, Michael Biehn. Was stoked when I realized it was him in an episode of Mandalorian. My brain didn't even connect the dots until the credits, then I had to watch the episode again. Too bad he was a one off, because he's the kind of performer that would work really well in that universe given the right character.
@@ytuser_3122 As he says in this video I think he prefers it that way. He says cares about the acting. Not the movie star bit. We all know who he is, without all the nonsense and tabloid crap that drags more famous people down. :)
The second he showed up in that Mandalorian episode, I was like "...hold on, is that who I think it is??" Wish they'd kept his character around longer, simply for the fact that it was Michael Biehn lol
Best one I’ve heard him tell is the time he was shooting a movie in some Greek ruins and Jackie Kennedy came along to see the ruins, he was the only one who recognised her because the other cast and crew were Italians who spoke barely any English.
My father and I got to talk to Michael for about 20 min, and he was absolutely awesome. They say never meet your heros, but he was absolutely the exception.
Michael talking about Bill's passing really touched me, I think a lot of Gen X felt like a part of their childhood went when bill passed. Love Michael, awesome guy, absolutely brilliant interview 👏
Hey bro, I'm a millennial born (89) and we grew up watching nothing but Paxton in the 90's, he was a massive part of our childhood... Twister, Termintator, Aliens, True Lies, Predator 2, he was at his highest point in his career when I first starting to go to the movies as a kid, and really getting into movies, my 3 brothers, late father, and I used to love watching all those movies, we can all quote all his lines. It still hurts that he's gone... It's the Gen Z's that don't even know who he is lol.
The Abyss, The Terminator, Aliens, Tombstone, Navy Seals, Alien Audiobooks, planet terror, K2, The Rock… and now Mandalorian and hopefully a lot more. Love this actor - but Tombstone - he was incredible. Glad you are healthy and working. Legend.
Michael Biehn is the man! As an 80s kid, I grew up watching him in all those big movies. I'm glad to hear he's recovered and doing well. I hope to see him in a lot more stuff.
Michael, This is easily one of your all-time best interviews. The chemistry between the two of you was fantastic. The stories that Mr Biehn had to share were second to none. A wealth of knowledge and experience. Your interviews are great! I look forward to more!
I remember Biehn being strangely quiet in The Mandalorian, I knew hed had a rough life healthwise and was a bit concerned. Makes sense if hes been struggling with his memory. Great to hear hes feeling so confident and positive. Seems like an intense dude with a kind heart who has finally learned just how awesome a person he truly is. Wish him all the best.
What great interview...For a second there, I almost forgot what an incredible life Michael has had and how many great movies he has been a part of - Legend.
People forget that due to his powerhouse performance in Terminator, actors started taking Sci-Fi movies really seriously. He has influenced Film acting more than people know.
I had the chance to meet Michael in Canada, he was staying in the same hotel as me and I bumped into him at the elevator. Told him how big a fan I am and he arranged to meet me later on that day in the foyer he's a great guy and a legend, we had a chat and he gave me a ton of signed stuff and made my whole holiday. Thanks Michael
Bill Duke, Michael Biehn and Peter Weller are the people I pretended to be the most when I was a kid. Mac, Hicks and Robocop. They were my heroes. So I'm incedibly grateful to see one of them being interviewed. Thank you.
Met Michael at Braehead Glasgow and got some nice 10x8s autographed. He could not understand my thick Scottish accent when i asked him about being offered the role of Spiderman in the mid 1990s and seemed annoyed that there had ever been a rumour in the first place. Well, it was in Film Review and other magazines around 1994 or 1995 and he confirmed it was rubbish. However, he will always be one of my favourites because of his work with James Cameron (especially as Hiram Coffey in The Abyss) and even in his direct to video roles in the 1990s when not being on the big screen in movies like Jade and The Rock, he always gave a quality performance in my eyes....there was never a 'phoned in performance' He was even outstanding in the tv films Deadly Intentions and A Taste For Killing. Michael Biehn is a great actor and was criminally under rated as a Hollywood screen great.
I met Michael during my first month living in LA, 17 years ago, at the gym. He was the first celebrity I met, and he couldn't have been more approachable. Super underappreciated actor. I still hope to work with him some day.
A F - I met him also a few back told him I've been struggling decades in front and behind the camera and could I talk to him , he said no don't bother me with that and walked away .
@@garyny4073 I’m tempted to not believe you and to assume you are just making up a story to be contrarian, but you never know with these actors and Michael quite obviously has had his struggles so maybe he was in a bad place that day or whatever.
I absolutely love Michael Biehn. Ironically, I met a guy back when I was in High School, also named Michael, who looked and even sounded like him and we ended up having many crazy years of us hating then loving each other. We both had major drinking/substance abuse issues that ultimately tore us apart, but we are both sober and still friends to this day over 2 decades later. I remember telling him that he was Michael Biehn’s younger identical twin and it tripped him out a bit when he realized who I was talking about. He took it as a compliment! I have to admit that I always hoped that Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton would get together as a real couple. The chemistry between the 2 on screen in The Terminator and the T2 clips was red hot! The guy is a brilliant actor. I love his work. If I see his name in the credits for anything, I make a point to watch it. It’s so great to see him and I’m so glad he survived and recovered… He still looks good too. He doesn’t look anywhere near his age. Thank you for having him on. 🌹
Bravo Michael Rosenbaum. Fantastic interview with Michael Biehn. Sounds like he's survived some serious s*** in his life. I have a new level of respect for him as an actor and a person. Please have him on again.
I met him at a horror convention in Seattle like 6-7 years ago. I could tell he was struggling with alcohol and something was a bit off. But, I talked to him and Jennifer for maybe 10-15 minutes and when I left I thanked him for all the entertainment and hard work, and he shook my hand, and I understood in that moment why he played all these action roles. He just has that charisma, an iron sort of presence just like mentioned on the podcast, a coolness that he just ‘turned on’ and it was like shaking hands with Wyatt Earp or something. Glad he’s doing better, hope we see more of him!
The Club scene in the original Terminator - when he blasts Arnold/T1000 with the shotgun till the cyborg is flat on its back protecting Sarah Conner - then saying to her, "Come with me - if you want to live" was as intense as it gets, fantastic action sci Fi acting at its best 🏆
Definitely my favorite actor. Grew up in the 80s with Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss. Looking forward to seeing Michael back on the podcast. I can listen to his stories over and over.
ive rewatched the gauntlet recently. as of now Ive moved The Abyss to my favorite spot for both Cameron and Biehn films. he scared me when i was a kid in that after loving him as Reese and Hicks probably caught bits and pieces again over the years. but after a proper rewatch recently..my god thats a good movie. harris and mary elizabeth and biehn all could have won oscars
@@dashx1103 did it end so badly tho? the alines gonna destroy the world but do not because they see the great sacrifices humanity are willing to make for each other. sure it was 1989 cgi, but ended so badly...?...nah
@@merrylderrickson3147 It ended horribly. If they'd allowed Ed Harris's character to sacrifice himself to save everyone and just ended it, it would have been a perfect, poignant finish to a really good movie. Even the aliens discreetly saving Harris while stopping the explosion, though being less emotionally moving, would have worked. Leaving an air of mystery regarding the aliens themselves would have been infinitely preferable to the bombastic finish we got. The monstrously bad special-effects-laden alien saving-of-the-day and revealing themselves finish was awful to see on screen (and played poorly in narrative too). I'll never forget Chris Elliot's ridiculous mugging on the screen as the alien craft broke the surface. Ugh. Might as well have been a clip from Snow Day. Until the very end, it was a taut, smart movie -- helped along by its almost claustrophobic yet beautiful underwater setting. The end turned it into .. as Time Magazine dubbed it ... a "water bomb." I like to watch that movie occasionally and just pretend it ends 10 minutes or so sooner. Regardless, Biehn was good in his role. As were all the principal cast.
I like everyone else, Love Michael Beihn. He is clearly a nice and humble human being. Much respect to him for revealing his battle with mental illness.
This dude will always be one of the top hollywood movie stars…imo that i really relate to as a movie star. Fantastic talent. Can bring it to any script…fierce vulnerable whatever the role needs. Terrific actor.
It brings me a bit of sadness hearing his older voice, it drives home that these people you enjoyed as a kid are mortal and wont be around forever. Great interview. He's such movie royalty I'd pay to see him do a tour of him just talking about his movies.
Michael Biehn is my Jimmy Cagney of the 80's...but, way more interesting. ❤️ Grew up adoring and being inspired by Michael's performances. He's a fucking brilliant actor. His humility in regards to media was part of that inspiration. Always a hero to me. ❤️
Michael Biehn has been one of my favorite actors since seeing him in THE TERMINATOR in the late 1980's as kid. His intensity is electrifying. Glad to see he's doing well despite his stroke. This was an outstanding interview. Thank you for making it possible.
man, no kidding. us 80s boys were just spoiled with the quality of characters - particularly in the action genre. i remember seeing him as the villain in the abyss after knowing him as Kyle Reese and Dwayne Hicks...mindblower for a little dude. anyway, if you haven't watched the abyss in a while, i highly recommend a rewatch...i just did the other day and the performances, the tension, the story...just wow. what a masterpiece it is.
When a movie comes out and Michael Biehn's name is on the cast list I know I'm going to love watching it. He really needs to be taken up more often. Such a gifted and totally believable actor.
Absolutely. Michael Beihn and Ed Harris' shower room scene was the best thing about The Rock. Possibly my favourite scene in movie history. I WILL NOT GIVE THAT ORDER will be burnt into my memory until the day I die. Masterpiece of a scene. Love this dude so much. Would love to meet him one day
The most underrated actor of our time. A true legend. He’s gotta come back. We need more stories from all of the big sets. This was GREAT! RIP Commander Anderson 🫡
Michael is so real and upfront, he tells it how it is. He is also very kind and caring with his fans. I had the privilege of meeting Michael at the Montreal ComiCon this past weekend. Such a great guy.
Great interview. Glad he talked about Paxton. Got to meet Bill in the 90's and he had just finished filming Titanic. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever met in my life. His departure is still felt.
He needs a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame ..period..as a recognition for 40+ years in film industry..and on what films did he act ..one of the baddest and most recognised in the film industry
Michael Biehn is such a good guy. One of my first jobs in hollywood was as a PA delivering scripts. He was the first person. I had just come from the mid west. He was so nice when he answered the door. Very friendly. Very down to Earth. That encounter didn't jade me
13:50 "Tombstone! Who hasn't seen Tombstone!" Michael R thank you for your podcast. Did not know about it until I saw Michael Biehn who is my 80's-90's movie crush. Fantastic actor! Really enjoyed this interview. Please bring him back!
I worked with him at a Con in Tennessee. Amazing man. Took time to talk to everyone who came up to the table and take pictures. Glad to see him doing so well.
Michael Biehn is one of my favorite actors of all time. Supremely underrated. I met Michael Rooker a few years ago at a horrorcon, right after the release of the first Guardians movie. He was asking everyone who paid for pictures and autographs what their favorite movie/series was that he was in and most people said The Walking Dead. I got to the front and said "Mallrats," he busted out laughing about this, I was being a little weird about getting too close to him and he goes "Come here you weird little shit" and put his arm around me for the picture. Awesome dude and one of the greatest moments of my life.
This is my single _favorite_ interview, Michael (Rosenbaum). I have come back and re-watched this thing three times now. Every interview (well, podcast) you do is excellent. You are a total natural at this -- the _best._ These days, it's becoming commonplace, but you're still the best of all. Michael Biehn, man ... Never have I seen someone in his walk of life so open, so honest, so sincere. He just bared his soul here. I sure hope he _does_ come back for another interview! What a fantastic guy. --_and_ an excellent actor. (When he does, I hope he talks about being snubbed for _Alien³._ That had to hurt like hell.) I've always enjoyed his work, and his likability comes through it, even when he's playing the villain, like in _Deadly Intentions_ (yeah, I'm showing my age -- just a few years shy of his). This interview sealed it for me. Michael Biehn must be one of the half-dozen or so coolest guys in Hollywood. He knows he's the luckiest guy in the world: working the dream job, everyone "loves" you for it, the money's amazing, and you can screw things up, _but_ if you make amends and get yourself together (which is a lot easier said than done), you can pick up where you left off. I admire him for being humble enough to admit that. Biehn is fantastic. He's one of a very small handful of people in Hollywood I would love to sit and chat with. Plus, I want to thank his wife Jen for quickly identifying his symptoms and rushing him to Cedars and saving his life! Strokes are terrifying, and can be very debilitating: without her, he might not still be with us. So, _Thank you, Jen!_
I first saw Michael Biehn in TigerBeat magazine when I was a young girl. His picture was among so many others and the article was about you picking out which one you thought was going to be a movie star. I had picked Michael. He's always been one of my favorites. Funny enough, we have the same birthday. :)
Love Michael Biehn! Loved him in Terminator, Aliens (probably my favorite role of his), Tombstone and more. Crazy that he was drinking so much for so many years. It does sound like he just couldn't recognize his anxiety and the alcohol made him feel himself. So glad he was finally able to quit. Also glad he survived his stroke and is 100% now. He seems like just the coolest dude and I love how HONEST he is without apologizing. Hope he gets many great roles in the future. ❤
Great episode. Growing up, Michael always stood out in movies for being so deep and soulful while explosions were going off. Thanks for having him on 👏👏👏
Michael Biehn has always been my favorite actor. Unassuming, Humble, brings great energy to any role. The consummate professional, can’t say enough! Should have been the best leading man for any role and movie back in the day! You will always Rock in my book brother!👍👍😊😊
This was a wonderful interview. Biehn has been one of my favorite action heroes since I was a kid because he's not the typical type of person that was unloading guns onscreen at the time. Look at Kyle Reese compared to action heroes of the time. He's wiry, traumatized, and far from invincible. A real human being with the bravery to face off against an unstoppable enemy and Biehn brought that beautifully.
So much life experience there, good and bad. And infinite wisdom to pick up from, whatever works for you. Michael Biehn is so open and generous, honest and humble. Thank MB, this one is for the ages.
Great interview. Felt we got to meet the real Michael Biehn. What struck me is Michael's honesty during the interview, to admit he had a real almost pathological fear of rejection, and his personal bravery in overcoming his stroke. I had no idea. I hope he continues to be cast in interesting character roles as I believe he has loads to offer performance wise. Looking forward to a follow up interview.
It doesn't shock me that Michael Biehn was the commander in just about every movie he did. He has that presence that he's a born leader. He was in so many good movies, I can't believe that he wasn't looked at like Denzel,Cruise,Hanks ECT.. I think it's because he didn't do enough diverse movies. He always played the same type of guy. This was an amazing podcast. I can't wait to see him back. Just a real genuine guy.. Thank you for all the great memories Mr Biehn! 👍
This interview made my weekend. How amazing to hear Michaels stories. I’ll never forget the glance he gives Ripley in Aliens. You know the glance I mean…. Really appreciated the video end to end!
Met MB at a comic-con a few years back and he was just the most gracious guy. He had a line of people there to meet him and he took his time with each and everyone in line. No rush, and no one was aggravated or rushing, and it meant a lot that he would take the time to meet and spend time with everyone there. I believe we spent a good 5 minutes with him. Great guy!
I'm glad he's in a better place now than he has been for the last however many years. He seems like a good soul and this interview was a riveting watch. I hope he continues to get solid work. Would love to see him make a comeback on the scale of Brendan Fraser.
I wish he did so much more in the sci-fi post apocalyptic genre. I loved him in those roles, or the military aspect. I will save this and watch the entire thing. Love him
This was really interesting. Michael Biehn is one of my favorite actors and I always felt that he was underrated. He has this iron-like presence in everything he does; a very memorable actor that brings something unique to each part he plays.
51:15 I can relate to the talk about feeling like the drunk version of yourself is the real version. I felt like that for a long time. The lack of inhibition made me feel like drunk me was the version of myself that I was afraid to be. Over time, the lines between drunk and sober me started to blur. It was to the point where my sober self was more confident and wasn’t afraid to be myself, then the drunk version only had my most annoying habits over my sober self. Didn’t make it any easier to quit drinking, but it gave me a reason to try.
This episode was tunnel vision for me.I couldn't look away.At 51 years old.I own the movies you both talked about on Blu ray and digital. Never knew about his pain and medical issues. And the Bill Paxton story brought me to tears. Bill always felt like the older brother " Not Chet" but a fun cool brother that just made everyone enjoy whatever you were doing. The one actor I actually cried for when I heard he'd passed. Awesome show.
Holy s***, I didn't realize he was the crazy soldier in the movie the Abyss.😮 I just found out recently that he played Kyle in the original Terminator! He is such a diverse actor that I'm not surprised that he was friends with Bill Paxton, Another actor who could play anything and make it work.😊
Biehn just has a presence in everything he does. You can't help but just always notice him. Even in small parts like Mandalorian. And old game I use to play he did work in long time ago. Command and Conquer and I remember him in that and just losing it. I hope he gets more parts.
When I was a child and saw all these films I instantly got hooked to Micheal Biehn's performances from T1 to Aliens and many others. Reese is the epitome of a true 80s style action hero. Hope I get his autograph before his awesome time on this earth is up lol. Michael is so cool even to this day!
This week’s episode is delightful. Michael definitely opens up and has so many great stories. I enjoyed hearing his James Cameron ones. He definitely needs to write a book. He definitely needs to be back on the podcast. I am glad that he has survived his stroke. He was definitely an open book. Thank you for a great episode.
I am such a huge fan of Michael Biehn, and of course The Terminator, that I was *this close* to naming my son Kyle Reese. I didn't because a part of me thought it would be hokey, but I have just always loved him as an actor and particularly in that role as a protector (of Sarah). Love him and loved watching this, even though I'm like 7 months late lol. Thank you for having him on the podcast!
Micheal Biehn and Bill Paxton are the best “glue actors” I know. These two legends made every movie better. Without them, none of those movies would be as good. The Terminator, Aliens, Abyss, Tombstone, The Rock, Apollo 13, Twister, True Lies. The list just goes on.
I did a one day acting workshop with Michael in the early 2000s in Los Angeles. We did a scene from TRAINING DAY starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. I played Ethan's character to Michael's Denzel character. Of course he did better than me. We performed it in front of a small class. He questioned why I chose to play Ethan's character because he thought since I was in my 30s I should play Denzel's character. I told him I chose Ethan because I knew Michael would be playing Denzel and to me it made sense. Like Denzel's character, Michael is way more experienced, life weathered and talented than I was. It just made sense and still does today. He was an awesome teacher for that one day.
Michael Biehn absolutely could have been as big as Tom Cruise. His role in Terminator, The Abyss, Tombstone, Aliens. He's a Legend.

And he's basically playing Johnny Ringo
The second he showed up in that Mandalorian episode, I was like "...hold on, is that who I think it is??"
Wish they'd kept his character around longer, simply for the fact that it was Michael Biehn lol
I actually eithe forgot or didn’t know he was in the mando. Gotta rewatch them all now lol
Love that guy and had zero idea that Michael Biehn had a stroke. What a professional and dedicated performer. Bring him back for more stories please.
I like Michael Biehn more now than before I watched this podcast....great job Michael! Please have him back!
Why doesn’t Mr. Biehn have a podcast himself? The man’s an encyclopedia of well-told anecdotes.
Best one I’ve heard him tell is the time he was shooting a movie in some Greek ruins and Jackie Kennedy came along to see the ruins, he was the only one who recognised her because the other cast and crew were Italians who spoke barely any English.
Very cool
Makes loads more money just sitting home
Yeah then he can stop being interrupted by these annoying interviewers
Biehn has an own podcast. It's called Just foolin about with Michael Biehn.
Agreed 💯
Hey bro, I'm a millennial born (89) and we grew up watching nothing but Paxton in the 90's, he was a massive part of our childhood... Twister, Termintator, Aliens, True Lies, Predator 2, he was at his highest point in his career when I first starting to go to the movies as a kid, and really getting into movies, my 3 brothers, late father, and I used to love watching all those movies, we can all quote all his lines. It still hurts that he's gone... It's the Gen Z's that don't even know who he is lol.
Game over, man…. RIP Bill Paxton
Absolutely, it hurts to even think about Bill being gone. He was amazing.
Millennials too. We watched Bill from the 80's to Live Die Repeat. I still gotta see him in The Circle.
Legend.
K2 is an underrated flick.
ALL RIGHT Lunger...
@@guffinator70 …Let’s do it!
I want them spittin blood!
Mandalorian and navy seals.
Yeah that will make a legend
Michael Biehn is the man! As an 80s kid, I grew up watching him in all those big movies. I'm glad to hear he's recovered and doing well. I hope to see him in a lot more stuff.
Michael Biehn...yes..... great actor...underrated in my opinion
Michael,
This is easily one of your all-time best interviews.
Super Dope Comment
What great interview...For a second there, I almost forgot what an incredible life Michael has had and how many great movies he has been a part of - Legend.
People forget that due to his powerhouse performance in Terminator, actors started taking Sci-Fi movies really seriously. He has influenced Film acting more than people know.
Wow. Such a lovely statement and couldn't be more accurate
Agreed.
Never thought of it like that, but your totally right
I concur.
AMEN 💯
I had the chance to meet Michael in Canada, he was staying in the same hotel as me and I bumped into him at the elevator. Told him how big a fan I am and he arranged to meet me later on that day in the foyer he's a great guy and a legend, we had a chat and he gave me a ton of signed stuff and made my whole holiday. Thanks Michael
Bill Duke, Michael Biehn and Peter Weller are the people I pretended to be the most when I was a kid. Mac, Hicks and Robocop. They were my heroes. So I'm incedibly grateful to see one of them being interviewed. Thank you.
Same here, sad that you don’t hear much from Peter weller much nowadays

I still hope to work with him some day.
yeah, but you hope to work with any actor some day 🤣
A F - I met him also a few back told him I've been struggling decades in front and behind the camera and could I talk to him , he said no don't bother me with that and walked away .
🌹
Michael B. has been in some of the most iconic movies EVER. So glad to see him.
Blood Dragon...Oh yeah
Well said.
You saying he seemed intoxicated when you met him?
@@DREADEYE_KNIGHT Yeah
@@Lyqu1d Right yeah probably just had to get his buzz on to deal with the public/social anxiety
I do that myself quite a bit too actually lol
Michael Biehn is one of my favorite actors. I don't see him much lately.
Michael Biehn, a magnificent, superb actor. Legendary.
AWESOME INTERVIEW!!!
Michael Biehn , Kurt Russell and Harrison Ford are the BEST hardcore on screen heroes ever.
Dude was one of my favorite 80s and 90s actor ,the man is super underrated actor ,
Definitely my favorite actor. Grew up in the 80s with Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss. Looking forward to seeing Michael back on the podcast. I can listen to his stories over and over.
Tombstone also
ive rewatched the gauntlet recently.
as of now Ive moved The Abyss to my favorite spot for both Cameron and Biehn films.
he scared me when i was a kid in that after loving him as Reese and Hicks
probably caught bits and pieces again over the years. but after a proper rewatch recently..my god thats a good movie. harris and mary elizabeth and biehn all could have won oscars
Too bad The Abyss ended so badly. That was so close to being a great movie, and Biehn was excellent in it.
@@dashx1103
did it end so badly tho?
the alines gonna destroy the world but do not because they see the great sacrifices humanity are willing to make for each other.
sure it was 1989 cgi, but ended so badly...?...nah
K2 is one of my favorite movies- and I think in a large part due to Michael Biehn just has that charisma

I'm so glad that Michael Biehn is back! Damn fine actor.

Grew up adoring and being inspired by Michael's performances.
He's really open and honest about his addictions and recovery. Not only is he one of my heroes from film, but he's also a human one too.
Thankfully he's not an alien.
Michael Biehn is amazing in THE ROCK. He just about steals the movie away with his final speech in his last scene.
"..but that doeSN'T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO MUTINY"

That's another movie, like Tombstone, with an AMAZING cast
Stand fast!

Michael is so real and upfront, he tells it how it is. He is also very kind and caring with his fans. I had the privilege of meeting Michael at the Montreal ComiCon this past weekend. Such a great guy.
Micheal looks absolutely amazing and has extraordinary resilience for 66 years of age, good going man.
Michael Biehn is awesome. He loves playing Navy Seals. When he has a mustache he is a villain(Abyss, Tombstone). Nobody is cooler than Cpl. Hicks.
Great interview. Glad he talked about Paxton. Got to meet Bill in the 90's and he had just finished filming Titanic. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever met in my life. His departure is still felt.

Michael Biehn is such a good guy. One of my first jobs in hollywood was as a PA delivering scripts. He was the first person. I had just come from the mid west. He was so nice when he answered the door. Very friendly. Very down to Earth. That encounter didn't jade me

(When he does, I hope he talks about being snubbed for _Alien³._ That had to hurt like hell.)
I've always enjoyed his work, and his likability comes through it, even when he's playing the villain, like in _Deadly Intentions_ (yeah, I'm showing my age -- just a few years shy of his).

i have to say by far you have become ym most favorite interviewer to date, and thank you Michael Bein for being who you are the REAL DEAL all way.

Michaels Biehn's honesty is so refreshing and even inspirational - Great to hear!!!!

I can relate to the talk about feeling like the drunk version of yourself is the real version.
I love Michael Biehn, especially in Aliens, The Terminator and The Rock. Definately an underracted actor, so was pleased to see this interview.
OMG when and why and how did he have a stroke ?
I think that he said 12 years ago. He said that he felt weird when he got up.

God Bless Mr Micheal Biehn! Loved him Aliens and The Terminator.
I have to say; to me this is an interview I have wanted for a long time.
I don't know why, but it's one of your best interviews. Your superpower is listening.
This is the third time Ive seen the whole ibterview. Love Biehn so much.
I recently watched Tombstone - freaking amazing film. Not one weak performance - Michael Biehn was amazing - they all were.
