i think it was more a joking about all the "japanglish" words used in japan (japanese words derived from english) the accent is completely different for the words and sometimes the meaning has also become different from its origins. i don't think namewee's criticizing it either, it's just funny since some japanese will use the words trying to communicate more easily with foreigners but the words sound just as foreign as regular japanese

But you're right the old lady does sounds a little Korean in that the two languages have some similar vocal sounds. the video seems more like a commonality video of many westernized cultures. people like similar food items, have similar needs, enjoy music and Japan is a fun place to travel. I've been to Japan a couple of times and the second time I went, I had to go to McDonald's because they were recently introduced into Tokyo at the time. nothing really negative about the video, and if you talk to any student who'll be in uniform that person would probably speak English. pronunciation in japanglish is derived from not being able to pronounce certain words without training. Words with the letter L do not exist in the Japanese language so R is used. English letters are read separately so MacDonalds has additional syllables in japanglish.

That is not japanese words. Its english actually, with japanese slang. What namewee want to show is as a foreigner, even you know english.. Its different in japan because of their slang. Its still hard to understand. At least, from this video we learn something right? 😁
