What is your favorite program that changes the look of your desktop or keeps your stuff organized? My favorite is "Fences". Those of you that have ever had your desktop folders and shortcuts scrambled after updating your graphics card drivers will know why... Thanks for watching :)
I am going to try _Folder Marker_ . It seems like the most useful because I often have many folders on my desktop and it's hard to find the right one. The other skins stuff, it has been my previous experience, they slow down system performance or are buggy and crash often.
Lol have all of these. You can add DITTO Clipboard manager I think :D
Quick Access Popup is a GREAT program for organization. It is what Windows should be!
Bhavya Jain Ditto looks useful and has great reviews on the MS Store too.
Richard Tidd QAP seems very cool. The sites home page does a horrible job of describing what the program does. To get a better understanding, I had to watch part of the 40-minute webcast... They should replace that whiteboard video with a quick 1-2 minute demo of the program being used.

Viewers should know its functionality is far greater than making collections of folders and shortcuts. The ability to "roll up" an individual fenced window, move it around, and snap it to edges is one of Fences' most useful features.
Fences has more functionality that what I showed. I agree the "Roll Up" feature is very useful to clean up the desktop. It's definitely a space saver.
Fences reminds me of Program Manager in Windows 3.1!

Outstanding info as usual! I have a home office with client folders spread over my 2 monitors. Now, with "Fence", I can organize my client folders so there more compact and organized.
Cool! The roll-up feature in Fences I didn't show might be useful for you.
I love Stardock Fences. Been using it for years and it would be hard to go without it.
Their Window Blinds software is great too. The Dark Mode theme helped my eyes more than flux. It can apply dark mode to windows explorer and practically every program I use. *SO* worth it!!
I just checked out the Dark Mode them on WinCustomize. It looks very cool!!!

Nice video, TechGumbo! I'm interested in "Fences" and will be giving it a try. I already use "Folder Marker" and like it a lot. If you right-click on a folder and choose "More icons... " you get a few more colors to choose from. Also, their website has a set of 7 "CB patterned colors that you can download for free.

A suggestion of a subject for your next video: a program that guarantees that your files were effectively backed up. Let me explain: I have many HD of different sizes. Backing up files from a 8 Tb HD is not easy, since I haven't others, so I had to back up files to different HDs. How to make sure that all my files are indeed backed up without having to scroll through them all? The best I could think of was using programs that search for duplicated files - but it's not either elegant or practical. Perhaps there are some program that actually does that, but I couldn't find one even searching the internet around. Any suggestions?
I use aomei one click backup. It creates a recovery partition and really works. Acronis true image had a cloud backup. It's like $29, but you'll never need to worry about losing anything.
Void Tools 'Everything' The best search app by a country mile.
Also DOPUS - Directory Opus - not free though.
You should have included Display Fusion as it is one the best I have used. Separate wallpaper on each monitor as well as task bars that cross all screens that show what is running on that screen.
Not sure which version of Windows that you have, but that can all be done now in Windows 10. Display Fusion seems very useful for those with older operating systems.
Windows can do some of it .. but still lacks the task bar support ... It will set the task bar across all monitors but will show all open tasks on each bar, not tasks per monitor. Such as File Explorer on Monitor one and a browser only on monitor 2 .. as well it allows me to access windows 10 notifications from either Monitor. I use a triple monitor set up at work and I still have to go to the main to search for a program to launch.

That's possible. You may want to try Glary Utilities, which is what I use.

Stardock Software also has a program called Start10 that I love. It replaces that horrific metro start menu with what we enjoyed with Windows 7.
I'm looking for a software that locks positions for my different windows. Each time I start my computer I move my different applications to the same places on my different monitors. How do I make them automatically open to that fixed location? Any tips? Great video as always!
That's a good question. There is no set way to do this, but I find if I open a program and move that window to another monitor that later when I reopen that program it will open on that monitor.
Yes, however this doesn't seem to work if I shut down the computer. Would like to have a "save position" feature for different windows. Haven't been able to find a software that helps me with that yet.
I bought Fences, worked ok except when opening the file explorer, it creates lag, flickering and makes me wait for it to settle down before I can use it, so I had to uninstall it. Hope they fix the issue.

GeoGebra is suppose to be really good. I'm not aware of any alternative that is any good.
