Woohoo! I wonder what the quality of the paint is going to be. Looks like I am going to be back in the business of picking up some minis for my TTRGPs. Thanks for doing the thing!
I accidently stepped on a piece full force then I threw myself to the ground to save it and it didn't break. The terrain is really strong or maybe it was because it was on carpet.
Having minis outsourced to less developed countries is often a good thing for those countries. Those countries comparative advantage is often their lower cost labor. People who live there often see their pay rise and their standard of living increase by working for these international countries. By not wanting products made in these countries, those jobs vanish and the inhabitants are worse off.
Pre painted I think would appeal more towards that casual audience HS always aimed for but honestly I wouldn’t mind getting them unpainted if that means I pay less because those price tags are insane for the vanguard edition.
Unfortunately it’s not 2004 anymore and we’re gonna have to pay somewhat of a pretty penny. They’re gonna release smaller sets, I’m hoping for a $100 price point
@@tabletopbro I think the best way to go about it is for them to make a smaller scaled starter set for new players who never played anything like it before. I’m thinking maybe like a set where you can have two armies and some tiles to get a simple match going so that way they can even see what the game is about before making any insane purchases.
@@tabletopbro I think that’s what kinda hurt the OG game was its cost of entry. If they can address that for the casuals or newer players I think they can see some decent success. Also they need to give out review copies to channels like yours and get more on social media to get the word out.
@@chuganoga1908 The OG game was $40 for the master set my guy😂 And expansion units were $15 for a pack of 4-8 figures. If anything it was discontinued because it was too cheap! Fortunately it looks like Renegade is team smaller sets like you said, as well as terrain only packs. We'll see how much they decide to charge.
Small boxes is the way I want it tp go. NO way I'd drop £80+ on the game, but a little £15 here and there... those are numbers I could slip by the household accountant without getting bayonetted.
Ugh, I hate that Renegade picked it up. They sued a tiny, nothing game company for naming their game “Renegade City.” Like, no shit, they sued as if they own the word renegade.

Probably shit but you know🤣 Get the family into Heroscape it's a great game!
If they come to our SoCal Heroscape meet up in December that would be awesome! But I wouldn’t hold my breath lol
Also Austin! Keep up the great work! Truly admire your skills and content creator. Well done😎
“My BFF Chris” made my day.
Does this mean I'm invited to your birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese?
@@tabletopbro Anytime Bro! You can even have all my tickets.
I hope the plastic that is used for the terrain will be more durable than the old stuff ( brittle over time).
Nothing more depressing than breaking a tile
@@tabletopbro especially sparkling water tiles.

I didn’t realize Pre-Orders were opening on March 1st too. Guess I’m having all my family get me AOA for my birthday! 😂
As the resident PbtA expert on TH-cam, I'd love to see your take on the Dread of Night game.
Pre-painted wasn’t a huge issue for me, the theme and feel of the game moving into a whole different galaxy was though

@@tabletopbro was it? Damn I remember the big box set being like 50-70 ish. Took forever to finally buy it. Plus you gotta adjust for inflation
Love the video sharing it!
This is a great video!
Thanks!

100% makes it a little bit easier to spend your money when it's in smaller quantities😂
Also feeling cautiously optimistic. Competitive to current other prepainted minis is nice... but not as cheap as painting it myself.
It does only say first wave, which could mean after that initial pre-order wave that they will be unpainted from that discord post.
That would be so unbelievably dumb of them to do😂
@@tabletopbro I agree but, you can't put it past modern companies.
I work at a decal factory/custom print shop, I have seen some stuff.
I'm SO sick of the sweat shop minis painting fallacy - it just shows a complete lack of understanding how modern economies operate.
Modern economies still use sweat shops my dude
