Great decision to award a penalty kick! Would you consider a caution for UB, namely stopping a promising attack because it was a handball offense for a shot on goal?

This is a good point to be honest! I think it’s one of those if you do caution nobody complains and if you don’t nobody cares!

Hard to tell from the footage if it’s 100% hand before any part of body. However he has made himself bigger with the arm to block the ball. On the pen it looks like a lot of the players are in the box before the penalty is taken. If saved or missed by the taker would you of retaken the penalty?

Would you have any advice for when both the referee and assistant is unsure of who the ball goes out on when it’s one of those 50/50 challenges and the ball goes out?

if you are both unsure if the ball was in our out then you keep playing IMO, can cant give a decision unless you are sure it went out! when it comes to 50/50s and you are unsure its always better to go defensive

Both I think I'd agree are penalties. For your one there Jon, and feel free to disagree, for a handball on a shot towards goal are we not looking for a yellow card? Certainly agree that in no way was it an obvious goal RC but be interested to see your thoughts on that
For the user video I think your point about the position is great there because you get a perfect view of the contact and potential foul from the angle of the veo (which is where you recommended to move to) whereas even with an unobstructed view there from the position the ref takes up you certainly could see only incidental contact

Yeah I think make a great point! There wasn’t a massive appeal for a yellow card, so I just went with what the players and the game expected in my personal opinion! But I can 100% understand why people may think it’s a yellow
I agree, I think we need to take the outcome of the decision away from out thoughts and think about what can we do better to give ourselves the best opportunity get the next one!

I think it was a good decision on your penalty situation not to show a YC as the feel of the game from the players didn’t expect the YC but is it a mandatory YC for a shot on goal and it’s blocked with the hand/arm?

I agree I think you can sell a yellow card, but in terms of my thoughts there wasn’t really an appeal for a yellow card so I went with what the game expected and that was just a penalty
