Younger me had hope that we'd get the ds game but outside that fan translation it'll never happen. I'd love ep1-3 to eventually get the graphical treatment that chronicles got when it went to switch which is probably more possible, assuming Bandai allows it.
It seems weird to review a game when you can't understand the story fully, when one of the main reasons the devs made said game is because of story changes. I think this is a game that would have been worth avoiding making a review of until a fan translation was completed or you learned Japanese enough to fully understand it yourself (which is a huge undertaking, I am not criticizing you for not learning the language well enough to understand it, I'd love to do the same but it's not that easy, I'm just saying).
While i disgree with alot of your negative points i do wish you would have made the video longer and talked more about the changes and others stuff as this game isnt talked about enough. The portability is a huge plus especially given how ridiculous over priced the ps2 copies are now
How is it a spinoff? Something that is straight up supposed to replace two maingames in the chronology is a maingame by default. I never understood the rationale of the fanbase(that even crawled its way into the Xeno Series Wiki) to just push it into a corner and forget about it.
@@xenosanctum2531 It not getting localized has little to do with anything, the localizationteam generally has nothing to do with the development team in the vast majority of gaming releases. And by that metric, PS2 Episode 2 is the single most relevant piece of Xeno media before Blade because it was the only one that got released in Europe.
@xenosanctum It was meant to better encapsulate the Shion part of the overall planned Xenosaga story. The entire story was supposed to be a hexalogy (six games) with the first two episodes (1/3 of the overall story) covering the events involving Shion, only they weren’t able to fit the first two games into two games and had to make a third. Xenosaga I+II DS gave them a second chance to release the story in tow episodes as they had originally envisioned.
xenosaga DS content in 2024 ??? love to see it
I'm a Japanese language student who just got this game. Maybe I'll snag the mantle and translate it (after I further improve my Japanese level).
Good luck, that's some Jlpt Level 1 Japanese. Even level 零
Oh dude if you did the community would worship you including me.
ah refreshing xenosaga content at the point in time when im freaking out at the prices of xenosaga products
A real shame this game came out when it did. Imagine if they saved this game for the 3DS or better yet after Xenoblade 3D launched.

I hope this game gets a rerelease so we can finally play it! Or a fan translation which I am shocked hasn’t happened yet.

私は日本語を勉強します。でも、難しいです・
Also when I started the series I thought it had a translation. I can still review the gamplay side of things.

If it was to replace the Ps2 games then why was it made for the DS and only in Japan?

Typo in the title by the way (unless it's intentional)
Have you never played Xenonsaga? Its an incredible 3 part story about a Noble Gas who stuggles to conect with the other elerments in his world.
@@xenosanctum2531 Haha, I spotted it before but felt a bit too shy to mention it. Keep up the good content man.
@@ninjabeann Nah, I struggle with spelling. I hate it when I miss do the title but without someone pointing it out it will never get fixed.
