The Vietnamese understood a very important facet of psychological warfare. They specifically designed their booby traps to maim, not to kill. They understood that a dead enemy soldier became a martyr, a symbol to his comrades. A maimed soldier horrified his comrades and was a living reminder of what they might suffer.
The Vietnamese also fought against the Australians, South Koreans and the Thai that were part of the coalition during what is known as the American War. Previous to that war they fought the French in the war for independence.
Inhuman? All war is inherently inhumane, Geneva convention or not. Sure the US used chemical weapons to destroy their vegetation and crops, to this day babies are born in Vietnam deformed due to the chemicals, that is some supervillain level of inhumanity. I'm sorry but if I am a weaker country and a superpower invades my homeland I would use those traps too and more. How come when we talk about 3rd world nations the US have fought against we refer to them as monsters or inhuman? Meanwhile the US is the only nation to ever drop a nuke, they used to gas Mexicans at the border which is where the Nazis got some of their ideas from, they used chemical weapons with no regards to the safety of the populace, but all that gets swept under the rug because it was "necessary", but a poor nation wants invaders off their land and yet they're the inhuman monsters.
Booby trapping is very horrifying indeed we do not know what is coming or where we are heading? So we must take the risk but we should all be careful at all times.
Hi guys! Too many traps. I had a friend who was a Marine and on patrol he and his fellow soldiers would put a bunch of amphetamines in their canteens to keep them alert and aware of their surroundings.
Watch one on Tunnel Rats , To this day Nam was one of the few times i was thankful to be 6 foot 5 , Too big for Tunnels Rats & Booby Traps were a Major Threat , any Mission you didn't have an injury to one was a GREAT day , These were few & far apart Nam 71

Hello you Guys , yeah these traps are very horrible and horrific , But you gotta see it from the Vietnamese peoples point of view they were under occupation from the French for many years the French sent soldiers and fought for a number of years then the Americans stepped in a well as several other countries my Father was in the Royal Australian Airforce although he not directly there he was airframe fitter . More conventional ordinance was dropped on Vietnam than any other Asian country . The North Vietnamese had whole towns underground and hospitals schools ect they were fighting for their Country . Americans were scared of The domino affect with Communism taking over Vietnam plus other countries, anyway war and killing is bad you would be surprised that a lot of Wars are due to the drug trade and even slavery

and an injured person needs at least 2 people to research and take care of him

Imagine doing the same things with concrete based areas. Every few slabs will fail with thin concrete revealing a trap.

Vậy mà Mĩ lúc nào cũng nói về nhân quyền. Thật nực cười, đáng khinh bỉ
Some of the punji stick traps were adapted from designs used by the colonials against the British in the American war for independence
My dad fought in Vietnam. He never really talked about it.
The fear won’t let him do it
One of my friends stepped into a Punji Trap. It caught him from the top of his boot up to his knee. It took over a year for the wound to heal.
Hard to believe people could do this to one another! So sad😢

I still have one question man Who is that girl I just want to know her name?
You need to react to the American Tunnel Rat soldiers next. They are considered to be the toughest and bravest American soldiers in the Vietnam war.

Post quality content or you’ll lose the subscribers that you have, is my advice
It their content, they already said in the video you could ignore it and only listen to music. Or you can just be a hater, nobody cares
I subscribed for music reactions because I like old songs. I don’t want to see gore on my YT feed, Unsubscribing
Good
thats quite unecessary; their channel has a large variety of reactions just don't watch the non-music content lol
