I really appreciate the vietnamese, they literally fought the US, China And liberated Cambodia in a span of over 20 years, how impressive of a country you guys are. 🇻🇳
Ho Chi Minh had caused the death of over 2.5 million people. After the Viet Nam war there was political oppression in the south. Southerners were sent to “reeducation camps” where they were beat, tortured, executed, and forced to do labor. Then there is the boat people. These people were southerners escaping political oppression they escaped Vietnam by small crowded boats with little food and water the largest influx of boat people was in 1979 4 years after the war. 300,000 boat people died attempting to flee Vietnam due to communist political oppression. During their journey to escape communism they were people were attacked somewhere from around 3-9 times by Thai pirates. If they did make it to Malaysia or Thailand or anywhere else they were sent to refugee camps where it was crowded and unsanitary. They had to catch their own food and drank dirty water. Then we have the Hue massacre and the Dak Son massacre in the hue massacre 5000+ people were killed by the Viet Cong and in the Dak Son massacre 200+ were killed. When allied troops retook Hue they discovered bodies with smashed open heads and mass graves. A Viet Cong defector under the Chieu Hoi program switched sides after witnessing other Viet Cong bury civilians. Viet Cong often tortured, and executed American, South Vietnamese Soldiers, and raped within the age of 13 and older civilians. A South Vietnamese Marine who was captured was made to feel like he was abandoned by his allies. And I’m pretty sure we already all know about the Hanoi Hilton where they sent American POWS. During an interview with a POW in the Hanoi Hilton Jeremiah Denton blinked torture in Morse code. There is much more I can go on about but this comment would end up being a 400 page book. Today Viet Nam has no human rights the government rigs elections and blocks content on the internet that goes against them and they make themselves look good in history books. Once a human rights activist visited Viet Nam and he was arrested upon arrival. I personally believe Viet Nam is a beautiful country but with a crappy government that hides the true history. Btw I’m Vietnamese.

9:56 Thank you, some people think Vietnam invaded Cambodia. You right, Vietnam just helped Cambodia escape from the Khmer Rouge. At the same time, the Khmer Rouge created war first and caused damage to Vietnam.
As you know that the Khmer Rouge was a ultranationalist force (that look like a neo- N@zi) that seek vegeance on Thai, Viet for taking their Khmer Empire land as the result and the support of PRC
Yes, if Vietnam wanted to invade Cambodia, we would have never seen this country on the map nowadays. Some people don't know Vietnam had the strongest military at this time and distort like a fool. Suppose that Vietnam invaded Asia, which countries could stop
Thank you for understanding the problem and knowing right from wrong. We are very sad that there are Cambodians who hate us and consider us invaders, but in reality our ancestors sacrificed blood and endured the embargo to help Cambodia. greetings from Vietnam
@@tainguyenvan3777 with the same view that at that time Vietnam could withstand the world's leading superpowers such as the US, France and previously China. With the secret of defeating the Mongol army three times to protect independence, followed by the famous Dien Bien Phu battle that shocked the whole world. Going back a long time, Vietnam was colonized by China for thousands of years but still maintained its national independence. Always be resilient and heroic, that is something that no other country in the world can do. Would such a strong country invade not only Cambodia but also many other countries? Probably no longer on the world map
Vietnam is one of those countries that never ceases to exist no matter how many times invaded or conquered. It doesn’t matter how long, they will always come back.

Currently, Vietnamese people are not free, cannot speak their minds, are oppressed like the Tiananmen Square incident in China, so I hope the Korean people try to keep your country, don't let North Korea take it away... don't let your children and grandchildren have to live under a communist regime.
The communist regime is terrible, people living under that regime have no human rights, are always oppressed, suppressed or arrested while sleeping... read about boat people, the reason why people of the Republic of Vietnam had to leave their homeland to go to the United States
There is one lie that history only writes about the winners. In the past, the president of Singapore went to South Vietnam (RVN) and praised it as the pearl of the Far East and wished that Singapore would be like South Vietnam in the future... But now, since the communists have ruled, the intellectual level of the Vietnamese people (now South Vietnam) has seriously declined. People have become greedy and selfish. Education later worshiped President Ho Chi Minh like Kim Jong-un... Vietnam is now not worth living and is increasingly backward compared to other countries... I am a patriotic Vietnamese... It's so sad. If I were born before 1975, I would have taken up arms for the true freedom and democracy of the RVN.

I think Vietnamese people were strong when Vietnam was born. they prevented the invasion of mongol three times, independent from France to their own, win at the invasion of world’s strongest country USA. and sorry for that I’m South Korean and our condolences fight with Vietnamese peoples and spraying a deadly defoliant 😢😔
The mongolia vs vietnam war just crazy

You know the Thai or Tai and Viet people has the closest DNA. The Tai originally from Southern part China but the Northern China invaded South and the Tai/Thai has to eventually move to Laos and Thailand to form their own country but adapted the local culture. The Viet stay in their original home land in the North and fought off China and absorbed all Southern China people into Vietnamese. The Viet Kinh ethnic is mean “City People”. Where all ethnicities from the Baiyue came together and be Kinh/Viet people. That’s why DMA test, Viet Kinh people are closest to Thai and Southern Chinese in modern day.
Thai people love South Vietnam. The former fully supported South Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh has a strong relationship with Thailand. Ho Chi Minh wanted a free and democratic world, not communism.

I don't agree with communism, but as a man who supports self-determination, I must agree that vietnam's independence and their fights were justified.
@mason7645 Communism was their only choice of ideology. It goes back to the October revolution in ww1. Still, they endured the Chinese, French, Japanese, French again, and American invasions... for independence. Going through that for generations to the next. Make you think a lot.
@@skorgethehunter5810 Exactly..
fair point.
@@mason7645 Thank you for saying this, perhaps due to French exploitation and in the past our president also asked for help from the United States to liberate the country from French colonialism but was ignored, perhaps That's why he chose communism to help our people, but this made the United States mistakenly think that he intended to spread communism to Southeast Asia.
@@sontruonggiang3833 Due to the unique nature of the Cold War era, the United States' security perspective became extremely distorted. The desperate political and security situation in Vietnam seemed to compel the Vietnamese people to choose communism.

Love Vietnam from Thailand 🇹🇭❤
Xin chào🙏

I love thailand From Vietnam
The music is intense from minute 7 to the end. Vietnam has truly entered the fight with the most powerful enemy in the world, the American empire. At the same time, fighting to protect the southern border to destroy Pol Pot and counterattacking to repel the Chinese Communists from the North was really tense. "Vietnam's spirit never retreats."
Imagine thinking the U.S. is an empire 😂
@@Ohmygodstfu2045 U.S was not an empire but U.S was definitely richer than the empire 😂
Resource wise America was overpowered even without invading other countries
The music at the end is the national anthem. Edited to add that it is a war song, hence the dramatic sounding
Đất nước tôi nước mắt hóa dòng sông.
Máu đâm đỏ nhuộm hồng lên màu đất.
Từ đỉnh Trường Sơn núi đèo cao ngất.
Tới đồng bằng sông nước Cửu Long Giang.
