I just re-ordered this a couple of weeks ago. I'm so glad you reviewed this, I agree that it's underrated. It is such a gorgeous scent and perfect for Spring\Summer. It has fantastic longevity for an eau de toilette and it's affordable. I think quite a few amazing affordable designer perfumes get lost in the niche driven fragrance influencer market.
This was one of the first “niche like” perfumes I tried many years ago when I got into the hobby. The idea of a green mango growing on a tropical tree was so evocative. It’s the only one of the Hermes Jardin line that I enjoy. The grapefruit note reminds me of the grapefruit in Jour d’Hermes. Maybe not surprising since they were both composed by Jean Claude Ellena.

I read the book The Perfect Scent by Chandler Burr about Jean Claude Ellena creating this one. It made it more fun to me when I started to wear it and could pick out the notes and then read about his travels and what he wanted to create.
Ohhh I have that book but haven't read it yet...sounds interesting!

I tried the perfume on and found it amazing. Being from Egypt, the perfume concentrates and recalls the memory of the smell I used to enjoy in Egyptian villages by the Nile in north Egypt, by the Nile delta region, especially in the autumn, winter and early spring, mostly in citrus and vegetable fields, early in the morning mist, Egypt countryside is beautiful and usually underrated even by the modern time Egyptians.

This is such an amazing fragrance, though quite finicky on my skin. This beauty is fussy in certain climates. From what I remember, for me this one performed better in the summertime, but I’m about to put that to the test as I’m looking to reconnect with this lovely scent!
Omg, I’m dying for the little green mangos. I’ll have to try this frag and see if it helps curb my craving bc them green mangos are not available where I live. 😂
I need to get one of these Jardin scents. I think I want the new one (Cythere) based on your review. Lately I've gotten into Carthusia (Corallium, Mediteranneo and A'mmare) so I think I would like these Hermes Jardin. Speaking to the walk in the forest....have you tried Andy Tauer Les Alpes de Suiss?

My faves are Monsieur Li, Sur Le Nil and Sur Le Toit. All pretty with sweet freshness imo 😊
What is the longevity and sillage like on this one? You have mentioned this many times and now its high on my to order list. Great review.
Fragrance rarely lasts on me and it lasts all day. I was surprised. Also surprisingly doesn't give me a headache whereas all of LVs do. I didn't want to try it because I'm not too much of a grapefruit lover but it's nice.
It's pretty decent at around 6 hrs on me, but lasts very long on clothing 😊
