Capcom the Knobs didn't even make it backward compatible on xbox , A-holes it was one of my fav 360 games
Udon made a fantastic job redrawing the graphics.
HD Remix hard as withstood the test of time. So happy to see its appeal has lasted 11 years !
The original appeal has survived for much longer than that 😉

Why the *f#$%(long asf censor sound)* they didn't put this one on switch instead? This is the *real* ultra street fighter 2, and I could of possibly got rip off! Lucky for me I didn't bought it yet anyway, glad people on the comments said "HD remix" before I found this out.🤯
I'll be taking quality(HD REMIX) over quantity(EVIL RYU,VIOLENT KEN, SHIN AKUMA)

I'm 34 and I totally love this game, to the point that I have it on SNES, Genesis, PS2, On XBOX 360 the HD Remix and recntly I Bought the Ultra Version on the switch and I like it even more.

I played HD remix to warm me up before Street 4, but I liked HD remix more ! The gameplay of the original is here, and it has this 90's feeling that tickles my nostalgia. I wish they had put the 3DO soundtrack though.
As someone who grew up playing Super Turbo back in the 90's, i honestly thought HD Remix was great, and i liked most of the changes. A lot of people just complained basically because they hate change. It was different from the original so therefore it was automatically "bad" in their eyes.
The new art style is one thing, but they should have made the animations better! Keeping the original animation frames and slapping HD graphics on there just makes it look cheap to me.

It was done that way because introducing intermediate frames wouldve dramatically changed the way the game plays and they wanted to make it as close to SSF2 as possible.
It looks fine to me. I see nothing wrong with the animations.
@@kekeke8988 DJ's stage looks like shit, the Arcade version has more dancers in the background with more frames of animation. This one uses the SNES version.
Although it looks a bit clunky I still like it

What did they do to Ryu's ending?! That's so much worse, the original was epic.
I think they did something in the spirit of the original and they kept the orange tint. But yeah it's not as good.

Just noticed that the HD Remix has no Point System.
It was worked off of the Dreamcast port where they "pre-tweaked" various settings for the Remix mode
So the graphics and music are updated. But the sound effects and voices are the same. Not a bad arrangement actually.
Vegas original theme in sf2 added suspense to the fight too bad they changed it

In nintendo switch you get the to play the same concept but the title is ultra street fighter ll with 3 additional characters which are evil ryu, violent ken and first appearance Akuma
Worst SF2 game ever made! No new moves, no ultra moves, no new characters, literally nothing new to call it Ultra. Then didn't even give Violent Ken a new stage nor his red cape. Then they call it the FINAL CHALLENGERS. We where are they?

I love this game but cant play it any more since have an xbox one x now and rhis game isnt playable on it,i bet capcom will re-release it and make more money out of it
When you look at it now, all the HD crispiness does to the game is show how barebones SF2's animation was. It didn't utilise a lot of smear frames, and a result looks more like someone turned up the frame skipping when compared to modern games.
My fav street fighter ever. I was literally so good online literally border S/A rank (SS being the highest) with me being modest with the A.
I’m sure the music was changeable to original in the options. Can’t remember if the art could change to classic. But I liked the new sprites and sounds hence it being called HD and REMIX.
Can you play this on a Xbox one ? I own in on my 360 but can't seem to find it in the Microsoft store for Xbox One.

I prefer the pixel-art graphics. I find these hd "enhanced" graphics artificial and disgusting for some reason, they look like paper cut figures
The game engine is the same, if you prefer shittier graphics, no problem. This version is the same game with better overall presentation. I prefer the latter.

I thought the difficulty was way off on single player when I played it on 360. I might have turned crap though since sned days.

The developers made something strong with the difficulty settings.
Easy= expert
While Expert is not that hard.
Choose "expert" and the game will be easier.
Be sure tô choose the "remix" difficulty too.

Only thing i dont like are the very bad and short endings. They shouls adapt the SNES endings and its dramatics :)

Yes. They did not use the horrible voice from New Challengers.
I really didn't like how it was implemented since it didn't fit with how the voices are.
Sure, the CPS2 version wasn't very great, but I didn't really mind it. It was the new challengers era, so I can understand the reworking of certain stuff.
I'm not saying CPS1 voices are horrible, I'm just saying it feels out of place.
