Hi Tim! Great shots. The train driver needs two thirds of the steam to whistle and one third to drive, grins👍. Best regards from the Mühlviertel, Hans 🍻🇦🇹.
Hello Hans, with such a light train the little locomotive had plenty of steam left over to let the world know that a steam train was heading to Kolešovice and from the amount of rust on the rails it was the first train to run down the branch in a long time 🍻😊Tim.
Tim, all action and wonderful soundtrack! Enthusiastic warnings for the many minor crossings… committed sound signals! Great editing too! Thanks for sharing…. Again
Hello Peter, this locomotive could well have been Thomas the Tank Engine's excitable Czech cousin right down the two carriages Annie and Clarabel. The first part of the trip to Krupá was along a relatively busy line whereas the rusty rails on branch to Kolešovice suggested this was the first train in many months to have used the route, the many blasts on the whistle were needed to remind local residents that the line was still open. It was a good day out, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😊.
Excellent video. I was there on 26th Oct. Really good museum and I was impressed to see they ran heritage steam services out of Luzna, in between local diesel passenger services and at least one triple headed bulk fright train. On a hilly, very windy singke track line! The little train you portray is what a heritage train in a semi-heritage setting should liok like IMO. Thanks for posting
Thank you I'm pleased you enjoyed it. The staff and volunteers make visitors feel very welcome. I found the train service to the mainline station fascinating, all quiet for most of the hour then 3 or 4 trains arrive within minutes of each other exchange passengers and off they go again. The freight trains surprised me, two diesels at the front with another at the back of the train pushing.
Thank you, I'm pleased you enjoyed the ride. I took a quick look at some of the videos on your channel, I'll take a longer look as time allows, you have captured some interesting cab rides.
@@Timsvideochannel1 Hi, I love England and Scotland. I have part of a Czech-Scottish family there. I wish you well. I look forward to seeing all the other videos! I wave from Central Bohemia. 🙂
@@pavelkajetan888 Hello, I appreciate the wave from beautiful Central Bohemia. I have more videos to upload from the Czech Republic. Best wishes to you and your Czech/Scottish family from Tim on England’s South Coast.
It's really a beautiful country, It's great there looking to the future keeping the rails in place unlike the UK & AUST ripping them up & there gone forever, Thanks Tim for another great adventure cheers Bob.🥳👍👍👍👍👏👏💯🍻.
Hello Robert, the Czech Republic is a country on its way up as evidenced where ever you look. The country is attracting industry such as car manufacturing (Jaguar Landrover), even my wife's Peugeot 107 was made there and engineering has been a strong point since Soviet times with companies such as Skoda and Tatra. It goes to show how good government leads to a better standard of living for all. Here in the UK we have the worst government ever, a fake socialist government that looks after the very rich whilst trashing the living standards of ordinary folk. Taxation is so high now that the entrepreneurs and risk takers who should be providing tomorrow’s jobs are leaving in big numbers. Since when did a country tax its way to success. The lunatics have escaped from the asylum and now they are running Britain into the ground. I’d advise British youngsters to consider moving to a place like Czech where good, honest hard work is rewarded, houses are affordable and the standard of living is surprisingly good and on the way up. Cheers. Tim.
This magnificent locomotive built without help from computers or the internet in 1899. The ride is more exciting if you set the playback speed to 1.5. I noticed on curves there is an extra sturdy sleeper every 30 feet or so, but not on straight sections. Forward direction from 20:38
It is a well-designed locomotive, it looks good and it's still going strong at over 125 years old. You are observant to notice the strengthening sleepers on the curves. I couldn't imagine a British train being allowed to reverse such a distance without a pilot man in the leading carriage

Czech is one of my favourite countries, it's clean, well looked after and the people love to share their experiences and tell you about the country’s recent history, they are proud to be Czech 😊.
There are regular trains between Lužná u Rakovníka and Krupá, but the rusty rails on the branch line to Kolešovice would suggest this was the first train in a long time to have used the branch line.

🥸Variable scenery ! And tiny loco ??? LOL
I think the little loco might have been Thomas the Tank Engines Czech cousin.

Nope the driver using 50% steam for the whistle, 50% for driving :) Any regular trains on this route?
There are regular trains between Lužná u Rakovníka and Krupá, but the rusty rails on the branch line to Kolešovice would suggest this was the first train in a long time to have used the branch line.
Not a lot of people moving about around the homesteads when passing though
It did look quiet and it wasn't a Sunday, maybe news that the first steam train in a long while to run down the branch to Kolešovice had not been advertised.
Oil fired?
Coal fired, you can see the coal piled on top of one of the side tanks at 5:19
