- "Greensleeves" - tytuł piosenki, to po polsku dosłownie: "Zielone rękawy".
The Brothers Four - sing so very beautifully, but .. - despite the name of the team, they are NOT four brothers :))
The Brothers Four -- śpiewają przepięknie, ale..
Date of the founding group, locates to Seattle in 1957, although sources say that this foursome, had encounter yourself together at the University in Washington DC, in the fraternity (association) "Phi Gamma Delta fraternity" in 1956..
I love the fact that this song is still sung after hundreds of years even if this was probably filmed a long time ago
This version is from the 1960s, I believe.
Listened to The Brothers Four as a child...my mom's records 💕❤ ❤
It's a very beautiful tune. And the Brothers Four version is great.
I was 8 when this was broadcast...
Those you see in audience are mostly gone, now..
Enjoy your youth..
Time goes way too fast.
This beautiful song hypnotized all people there....
Maybe one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The girls are mesmerized by it's incredibly captivating sound. Captured in this state, they are so beautiful. As men, we are truly blessed by their presence among us.
I guess I take this as a compliment?
@@shurr1945 Yes, please do.
Have you ever wondered what Adam thought the first time he saw Eve? Remember Jehovah made her as a compliment to him. Did he sing to her about having someone in his life now to share things and thoughts with? Just a thought...
What a beautiful song
When sadness brings happiness. Really nice song..
Been searching for years now to find the perfect version of greensleevs. Im happy I found it today. Thx The brothers four!
Its amazing!
Excellent voices producing superb music! The blending was perfect!
Good music does not get old, this song is about 500 years and still pleases me, not like the shit one has to listen to these days with no melody, and harmony
No one has to listen to anything they don't want to.
Actually Greensleeves goes back to the 1100s..
This song is the perfect example of Courtly Love
ernani seddon - This song is one of the greatest all time classics. I understand what you're saying about today's music, but unfortunately, not all songs can reach this level of beauty and longevity. I enjoy all of the modern music, but most of it doesn't have the extreme beauty of this song. Nor does the modern music mean to me what this song does.
A very beautiful song
I love this music, and how clean cut everyone was back then. And innocent looking. This song gives me goosebumps. I miss this time period so much.
Deane Fiske-Foy - Yes, calm, and non-threatening....
@@redbay8527 … It was a good time to be young and alive.
These guys sang to us at a charity Christmas party for underprivileged kids (Although I never felt underprivileged. In fact, I felt over privileged, because I was there.) in Columbus Ohio 1962. Loved them then and love them now.
Aww

@@JamesSullivan-fq9bwi am 18 but find this better than most music today, especially here in Britain! Haha
I listened for the first time watching How the west was won I really love the tune
Piękne wykonanie - świetna muzyka na relax
I hope those guys get never old as much as God allows....
I was in my 11 or 12 when I heard this melody I did not know the lyrics , and I used to make my own....away , away in the great blue sea , ..I would dream to sail in a big old ship.....🙂🌊🛳🌊
so beautiful and relaxing song ever
remind the very old days to me...
Such great mellow voices.
Merci beaucoup... Greetings to you all from Paris .............
Their harmony is still unsurpassed.
Lady Greensleeves
--- Instrumental with humming ---
Alas, my love, you do me wrong
To cast me off discourteously
For I have courted you so long
Delighting in your company.
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight
Greensleeves my heart of gold
And who but my lady Greensleeves.
So, Greensleeves out there, well ado
Made your fortune cross the sea
For I am still thy lover true
Oh, come once again and love me.
Greensleeves was all my joy
Greensleeves was my delight
Greensleeves my heart of gold
And who but my lady Greensleeves..
I love this one best of all.
This song will quench and moisturize the dryness of the soul
Zo mooi gezongen , perfecte harmonie !
beautyfull...
I love it..!
Nice to meet you, I feel nostalgic. I posted it on my Ameblo.
I always loved that couple that were nuzzling, listening to this song, I know it was so long ago, would like to know if they are still together, and if they made a wonderful life for themselves. Just curious, does anyone know? Out of all the images of this video, I was impressed with this the most.
It's one of my favorites from the songs that I have ever heard
My favorite Song that I first heard from the person I loved..........❤❤❤.
I love listening to these songs
En la obra conservada A Handful of Pleasant Delights (1584) aparece como «A New Courtly Sonnet of the Lady Green Sleeves. To the new
tune of Green sleeves».
Wonderful!

Wunderschön.
The Brothers Four were and are Four Brothers founded in the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta as frat brothers. They descended from a group of 6 or 7 frat brothers who were called the "Party Doll'ers" who would go around and sing to various sororities. 1958-1959.
Tom, the bass player is married to Lonnie Anderson, the actress.
Gracias.
Thanks

I hope you know the whole World music was changed to become the way you describe, with no melody, and harmony... I hope you know who is behind this.
Poor sound quality :-(
Yeah because they can do better sound quality in the 60's definitely should've done better
