    I'm really pleased with this video, thank you so much! There was a silky thing that I liked more: your milk didn't vaporized enough for a latte art, and we just realize it when we try to make a draw and we get only the remaining foam in the pitcher's bottom hahahaha same as me, it happens all the time 😂

    Just learn the art myself, but a tip I really like is to weigh your dose of beans and only put them in the hopper - saves time messing about with the grinder. Aldi, tap the portafilter whilst grinding, helps to distribute and less mess pulling out. Happy espresso 👍

      I actually did try that but it i noticed that what i put (whole beans) doesn’t equate to the output (ground beans) so for the sake of practice, i just put a bunch coz anyway im gonna finish them most likely right away. But thanks for the tip 😁

    Hi there, I'm a brasita in a cafe and am watching your video as I recently got this machine for myself at home.
    I find you only need to tamp once with constant pressure over tamping will stop the water flow and not enough pressure will make the water come out too fast. In saying that the head for the coffee is smaller than commercial coffee so it took me quite a few crappy shots to figure out the right pressure. Then we changed beans and I had to do it all over again 😒😒 haha
    I also learn that the cups on the machine doesn't equal how many shots. Made much better coffee shots once I figured that out.
    Lovely video! Keep up the good practice
    Edit:
    I watched more of your videos and you have gotten way better! The new tamper is awesome

    • @oracla
      @oracla 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@KatEsclamado Just a pro hint you will not find easily. On the barista express the pressure needle needs to be way to the right (out of the marked espresso range). Like one or two o clock. This is very difficult to achive, as the machine chokes at this pressure easily. So the grind has to be super precise. Also you really need fresh coffee. For me the only usable supermarket coffee is the Illy, if it has a manufacture date on the bottom no more than 3 months old. 3 months is usually to old for espresso, but Illy has a quality packing and in general medium rosts (italian) are not very bad with aging. I've been using this machine for 2 years every day so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

    • @NevrNewd
      @NevrNewd 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tamping twice really isn't a big deal. If you put 30lbs of pressure on it once, and then 30lbs of pressure on it again, it's still only compacted by 30lbs of pressure. For most people, it's because that tamper doesn't fit perfectly so after the first tamp, there's lots of grinds around the side. A second tamp gets those grinds into the puck. But really, there's no actual benefit to double tamping, though it doesn't hurt. For most people, if you start double tamping, it's a hard habit to break!

    burned the hell out of the milk and the shot. I believe you over filled and over tamped it, the milk shoud never be steamy; means its gotten to a temperature it starts to break and start tasting rotten. Try using less milk, start heating up the inside of it, and when you feel its getting warmer start tilting the cup and put the nozzle on the edge of the milk to start making the foam. Then hit it gently to break the biggest bubbles and then spin it gently till its shiny. Nice progress tho, hope i helped.
