Wow! That looks great for seventy years old. A little wear and tear on the engine makes it look more realistic. Hope you get lots of enjoyment out of it!
Great pick up and looks good on your layout. The F-3 Diesel is my favorite! I have the Lionel Conventional Classic Wabash F-3 AB, #2367, from the 2014 catalog. I enjoyed your video!
That’s the condition I prefer myself. It tells a story of being enjoyed throughout the years. Plus if I add a scuff or two in the span of my ownership, I’m not going to loose any sleep. Really nice purchase and looks like it runs strong and smooth!
Congratulations Ray, those postwar F-3 s are fantastic , looks like you have a good runner, some maintenance and clean up and it is good for another 75 years. I have a 2368,
I think the 2367 is my favourite of all the postwar F3s, I guess it’s the videos of the Wabash from the 50s that are out there, I consider myself lucky to have a single motored 2240 but it wouldn’t stop me adding a 2367 if I find one, thanks for sharing Ray from over here in the UK
She looks good to me and I know when you clean it up it'll look a lot better. Also , there is a guy that sells battery eliminator kits on eBay. You solder 3 wires , and you can forever bypass d cells. Comes out as easy as they go in.
Amazing. I just picked up a ln unopened "barn find" and came here to research on it. It has the second car as well. Completely unused and no scratches. Original box. How much would a real enthusiast pay for something like this?
Do you have a good looking set and I’m glad you’re happy with it. I have one too. Your unit I believe is from 1956. Because the stripe near the end of the B unit are not solid.
Yes, the Wabash with two motors were made in 55. in 1956 they came out with a single motor version in the us were a little different although they both matched perfectly

@@MichaelMartinczak I did some more research, I see what your saying thanks for teaching me something new about the hobby .
You should consider learning how to airbrush - alot of the nicks/scratches could be corrected.
Cool find ray wish you were york
Good luck in york !
