    Plovdiv is a magic place! 🇧🇬
    If you're visiting Bulgaria and have limited time, skip Sofia and explore this INSANELY beautiful town, you won't regret it.
    Perfect spot for expats and digital nomads too!

    On the 16:11 you have a view of three important ancient parts of Plovdiv: the stadium, the aqueduct and the city wall. On that place the station is directly on the city wall, and exactly here the aqueduct (red bricks) goes inside ot the old city and cross perpendicular the city wall (of stones).

    Did you go there by train? We are going to Plovdiv in september and I have seen the bulgarian trains don’t have any screen to see where the train stop😅😅 I’m afraid of missing the stop!

    • @Xploreoclock
      @Xploreoclock  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@rsn7847 Hey 👋 thanks for checking the video out. Good choice to visit Plovdiv in September, because these days (and overall July & August) it's hot as hell 😂 and it would make your trip feel like a sauna.
      Yeah Bulgarian trains are not the best and actually the slowest transportation option in the country.
      If you leave Sofia for Plovdiv, I suggest you take one of the many buses that leave from Sofia Central Bus Station (Luisa Blvd 100, 1202 Sofia) and as there are two stations there, the national buses leave from the station that has taxis outside and a kind of "roof" just in front of those taxis (the other station on the opposite side, 3 mins walk from it, its for international routes).
      So from Sofia bus station you can go inside to "Union ivkoni", or "Karat-S" desks (or in the middle of the station if you enter from the taxi side, turn straight to the right and those desks that look like information points also sell tickets for Plovdiv) so you have these 3 companies travelling to Plovdiv, you can check them all to get on the first available bus to Plovdiv accordingly. The journey takes more or less 2h compared to 3h by train 🙂
      Enjoy your trip, I hope my video was useful and if you don't mind, subscribeee as there's more about Bulgaria I will be sharing before to film other countries. Ciao 👋😃

      @@Xploreoclock thank you very much for this useful info,definitely we will check the bus option,I have seen some other youtubers also recomend going by bus😄do you think it worth to spend at least two nights in plovdiv? We have around 5 days to travel in bulgaria and we are thinking the option of staying there 2 nights

    • @Xploreoclock
      @Xploreoclock  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@rsn7847 No worries, happy to help! 😊
      For a 5 day trip to Bulgaria, there are two main options to consider (in my opinion) depending on whether you prefer a more packed schedule or a relaxed one.
      Option 1:
      This option is good if you want to see as much as possible, though it might be a bit "exhausting" at the end
      Day 1: Arrive in Sofia and travel to Plovdiv by bus (it's easier and faster than other options). Spend the rest of the day and night in Plovdiv.
      Day 2: Continue exploring Plovdiv in the morning. In the early afternoon, travel by bus to either Burgas or Varna on the Black Sea coast (bus is faster than the train).
      Day 3: Enjoy the seaside in Burgas or Varna. You can also explore nearby villages, though time might be tight.
      Day 4: Travel to Veliko Tarnovo. Spend the night there.
      Day 5: Head back to Sofia and explore the city before your departure.
      Option 2: More Relaxed
      This is more relaxed with fewer stops!
      Day 1: Arrive in Sofia and spend the night.
      Day 2-3: Travel to Plovdiv and spend two nights there, enjoying the city's vibes.
      Day 4: Travel to either Burgas or Varna and spend the night by the sea.
      Day 5: Return to Sofia for your departure.
      No matter your choice, please don't skip Plovdiv - imho it's a must-see!
      If you have any other questions or need more details, feel free to ask. 😊👍
      Ps: as already mentioned, try to travel by bus only. It will save some time.

      @@Xploreoclock I’m thinking about doing
      2 nights in plovdiv
      1day to visit Rila monastery from sofia
      1 day to visit Skopje (north Macedonia)or Veliko tarnovo ,I can’t choose between these two🙈

    • @Xploreoclock
      @Xploreoclock  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@rsn7847 Plovdiv and Rila monastery are a great choice. Regarding Skopje...to be honest it's as boring as Sofia.
      Lake Ohrid would be ABSOLUTELY worth it instead...but it's a longer trip. For me as you'll be in Bulgaria already, Veliko Tarnovo will give you enough to make it a very beautiful vacation. And if you decide to visit Macedonia, obviously stop in Skopje to see it, but go to lake Ohrid after that, for a longer stay. A wonderful place in summer. Skopje is just a city like another imho... (and the only place in the Balkans where I got scammed by taxis at the station, which sucks. Full of beggars/fake taxi's and such, with zero police presence that would make a great "ghetto vlog" haha) whatever you decide, good luck and hope all goes well 💪 ciao!
      Ps: if you visit the Balkans another time, my very favourite two places are #1 Bosnia 🇧🇦and #2 Serbia 🇷🇸

    Hi bro. I need your help. Please send me how much Bulgaria house or apartment rent fees for month. I'm from sri lanka

    • @Xploreoclock
      @Xploreoclock  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey mate! 👋
      In Bulgaria rent prices for a house or apartment varies depending on the location, with Sofia being the most expensive city in the country.
      As an example an average rent in Sofia is 750 to 1000+ BGN per month (if you are not looking for anything fancy to a bigger better place that can accommodate a family) while for example in Plovdiv can be up to a few hundred BGN cheaper.
      Smaller villages can get even cheaper, but you wouldn't have much to do and could be an option only if you work online.
      PS: I love Sri Lanka, and hope to visit again soon 🧡🇱🇰

    • @Xploreoclock
      @Xploreoclock  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah there's plenty to see in Sofia, the city itself is "okay" but still it sucks. It's one of the most boring capitals I have ever visited, plus in winter the pollution is next level and so are the outrageous rents (the list goes on and on)
      I give Sofia +1 point though: if one moves around by public transport, Sofia is better because it connects you to a lot of places while in Plovdiv it's trickier to get around without a vehicle. Take care Rositsa 👋
