We had a non church going friend ageee to come to a meeting with us a nice guy open and a wonderful dad to his son after the meeting we chatted and he said " you know i volunteer every 2 weeks to help out at our local homeless food bank and its such an amazing experience to see the faces of gratitude and appreciation ...the last time i went to church there were a group going for pizza and i went along but they just gossiped and ate food then went home i gave out my number to offer if anyone would like to come along to the food bank and help out anytime ...no one called ...one texted and said they are in the middle of a end times seminar and dont have time .

At 49:19, Steve gives the "view" of the Reformers, mostly ex-Roman Catholics. The "view" held by the Reformers was that the Papacy and each of its past "Popes" was the anti-christ Man of Sin, spoken of by Paul and symbolized by John as the "little horn speaking great things". Paul tells us that this "man" would be around UNTIL the appearance or apocalypse of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the air. Ask yourself, What "man" has been living on Earth and ruling as a tyrant for centuries?
The Reformers, Luther, Zwingly, Huss, Knox, Wycliffe, Tyndale, Newton, and HUNDREDS more, for 300 years, all believed, through study of Scripture, that the Dragon and the Scarlet Woman riding the beast were symbols of the literal Roman Government and its Pagan daughters mixed with the Religious Authority of the Papacy. In the 1800s, Christians wrongly believed the "Papacy is Dead", so they falsely believed that Christ's Appearsnce was "near" and "date setting" became popular.
However, Revelation declares that the Beast only receives a "deadly WOUND" from which it recovers. Since the time of Mussolini, the Papacy, the Vatican, has been gaining back its STRENGTH. Its "goal" is to gain WORLD Political and Religious dominance. It wants to be the "God of this World". This process, which God, through Christ, through his Angel, through John, HAS BEEN HISTORICALLY growing exponentially for at least the past 1700 years. God did not leave His "ekklesia" in darkness about the way History would develop over Time UNTIL Christ's RETURN. All Christians were warned about the "Man of Sin" and about the tribulations (plural) which would CONTINUE throughout his rule. Our RELIEF will come only when the Man, the Lord Jesus Christ RETURNS, as Paul says, and as John DESCRIBES.
The "weird" (as Steve calls it) view of the Reformers, the Historicist view, is the only view that logically fits when desling with Theology and Eschatology. The Preterist, Futurist, views are views which were INVENTED by Roman Catholic Priests, see, Ribera and Lacunza. The Amilleniast view, that the Kingdom of God with God's "vicar" on Earth is the view of the Papacy. They do not deny that the Papacy is the Seat of the Antichrist, i.e., against Christ or in place of Christ.

Excellent examples you cited above! God brought judgment on Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586BC and John uses that same language from Ezekiel 9 in Rev 7 as the wind/storm is held back until He identifies His faithful remnant/servants for their deliverance--144k sealed (those Jewish-Christians who followed the Lamb, and fled Jerusalem to Pella before its fall).
So now contrast those who are simply following the world's passions/governments vs those who obedient the eternal King's commands and are under His authority. It should be evident (just like the MOTB or the MOG) on where one's loyalty is, and where their authority (or Authority) comes from. Whose administration is a person following?

Your explanation at 01:45 is incorrect. Judaism continued after the fall of the Temple in its Talmudic form. The distinction between religio licitas and illicitas was more complex. The Jewish faith was legal based on an imperial exemption. As soon as Christians were expelled from the synagogue they were in danger of the death penalty for practicing illegal religion. If Roman persecution only started after AD70 how do you explain the persecution of the Roman church under Nero and before?

Steve is a good speaker and has a lot of self esteem and condidence. Well read. His interpretation of literal interpretation sounds like cognative disonance. He uses literal like a hamer in a glass shop. Anything that is not literal he just smashes it and says, see it is not literal. He well knows that is not how it works because he taught dispensational previously. What is the motivation?

    • @LionsMayRoar
      @LionsMayRoar 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

By your remarks, you sound like a disgruntled futurist/dispensationalist.
His motive is pure. It's to understand scripture as best you can, but also understand that things aren't as definitive as some in the church make them sound. We all could do well to approach the study and understanding of scripture with more humility, like Steve, and less argumentative and defensive.
I disagree with your interpretation of his interpretation of literalism in the bible lol. I too came from dispensationalism and his arguments against the literal approach ring true to my experience within that dogmatic structure.

I believe the 7 heads with one of the heads having been mortally wounded but yet alive is a throwback to Daniel’s book. There were 4 beasts in Daniel’s vision but one of the beasts had 4 heads so if you stuck all 4 beasts together you would have 7 heads. Remember in Daniel’s vision only one of the beasts was destroyed while the other three were allowed to continue though their dominion was stripped away because Christ became the new ruler. It was the singly headed 10-horned beast that was the one destroyed and also the one that captivated Daniel. I ask, what was the only thing done away with the ascension of Christ. It was the Old Covenant physical Judaism. Well guess what, it appeared to be on its way back (1948) and operates as a player in the globalist regime. (Mortally wounded yet very much alive.) Please understand, these beasts are not the ones in Nebuchadnezzar’s statue. Those kingdoms were successions of one another while Daniel’s beasts existed alongside each other. However, one could have been Rome.

At 4:30, Brother Steve is incorrectly identifying the "day for a year" principle with the Historicist view. The fact is that a Historicist does not use this arbitrary calculation as Steve rightly calls it. The Seventh Day Adventists who followed E.G. White's so -called "visions" of Jesus' supposed imminent Return to zap them away to Heaven were the ones who invented this "day for a year" calculation. Against what Jesus said, they were DATE SETTING, falsely FORECASTING or "divining" his appearance. The Scriptures say nothing about such a calculation or equation of time, as Steve correctly states.
The Historicist believes that John was given a message which has various peoples in various historical settings in mind. Starting with the Seven "churches", then it goes on to speak SYMBOLICALLY about the Literal Future HISTORICAL events which were to FOLLOW. No definitive time is ever given as to how long before the Lord Jesus returns to Earth. No definitive days nor years were given to Daniel either with respect to how long the Persian and the Alexandrian and the Roman Empires would last. John explicitly tells the believers that a certain Dragon and Beast will arise. That is a given. God is letting His people know that He SEES and is in control and in judgement of this world and the Historical events which HAVE BEEN going on were fully addressed in the Revelation.
Why Steve ignores this obvious symbolic prophecy about a literal Evil Government and a literal Evil Man, which is to rule the world is beyond my pay grade. The Reformers did not "close a blind eye" to this obvious parallel between the so-called Holy Roman Empire and the Woman who rides the Dragon. The Reformers rightly understood that John's prophecy was about Historical matters. The Historicist also understands that the Man of Sin, the Papacy, will "ride the dragon", obtaining World Domination.
The believer cannot "make this world a better place to live" as all so-called sweet, milk toast Amillenialists as Steve profess. Which is why Steve really doesn't HOLD to anything other than that "there are many opinions" and "could be or could not be" philosophy. The Bible is clear that Jesus is physically returning to first raise the dead in Christ and to gather them, along with the living in Christ, unto himself WHEN he RETURNS to establish a LITERAL Kingdom on Earth, which he has INHERITED, i.e., Abraham's promise to his SEED (singular), and David's promise of having a descendent sitting on his Royal Throne (Steve spiritualized away these two very literal prophecies). Steve, what does "Wolf and Lamb lieing together", "child playing with an adder", SYMBOLIZE? IT DON'T!!

You could argue this about all theologians. No one alive today came up with the system they believe in, so even if your claim that he is ripping off Chuck Missler is true, then Chuck Missler has ripped off the theologians before him. But that's not actually how it works. Steve has read countless books on countless topics. He, as we all are, is an amalgamation of other opinions and studies. It's why we read. It's how we learn. No one is unique in this respect.
Besides all that, Steve Gregg HAS mentioned Chuck Missler and Chuck Smith as he came from Calvary Chapel. Do you expect him to mention Chuck every time he speaks?

    hi kelly,
i do not know what is going on with place and gladiator dawgs here,
one guy has a big black poodle,
ive heard notorious stories about big poodles,
one of the maintenance guys told me he thought he was going to git bit with the big german shepherd on one of the room checks etc.
and the guy with the pit bull expliend above etc.
and the idea that emotionally unstable people, bipolar with emotional roller coasters need emotional support gladiator dawgs,
in apartment complexes with narrow hallways, blind side corners etc.
all it takes is one spooked dawg, or owner to set off a pack attack,
why not a cat or a small dog for emotional support animal?
why gladiator dawgs for emotional support?
a guy who works midtown at sports told me when he was a kid,
he went into a neighbors yard to retrieve a baseball,
the pitbull attack him and latched his jaw and teeth onto the boy's leg,
pitbull have the strongest jaw and bite hold,
pitbulls like crocodiles bite or jaws cannot be forced open,
pitbulls don't let go for anything!
the owner was trying everything to get his pitbull to let go,
again pitbulls dont let go for anything,
out of desperation, the owner put the pitbull in a choke hold to kill his own dawg,
again, pitbulls dont let go for anything,
the owner had no choice but to chokehold his own pitbull to death,
in order to get or pry the pitbull jaws or bite off the boy's leg,
this was his story to me at sports in midtown ,
ive heard a bunch of horrible stories with this gladiator dawg breed in particular,
    the latest ive heard,
some guy lost his wife and 2 kids,
cuz the 2 family pitbull gladiator dawgs unpredictably attack his children!
    unexpectedly, without warning,
and his wife was trying to protect her children,
the pitbulls massacred to death the wife and 2 kids,
again, why gladiator dawgs for emotional support?
why not a cat and a small dog?
ive seen youtube videos of a cat and small dog entertaining their owners in a apartment,
i guess politicians are trying to mainstream bipolars, or multi personalities, or as the catholic church would say multiple demons, or the pronouns they, them, theirs, with the rollercoaster of emotions, i guess politicians are trying to mainstream this into the main population, cuz mental hospitals would be too expensive or notoriously cause more harm with more exotic drugs and side effects etc.
as i have stated before why gladiator daws for emotional support animals?
why not a cat and a small dog?
a gladiator dawg might be more suited for a house with a yard,
not an apartment complex with narrow halls and a bunch of blind side corners?
all it takes is one spooked dawg or owner to set off a pack attack,
ask the guy with the dead wife and 2 dead children, about the 2 family pitbull gladiator dawgs
thank u for hearing these i guess preemptive concerns,
