@@znet9452 He uses a Ross Compressor which is a big part of getting the right amount of sustain, while keeping it clean. He also uses a JHS Morning Glory for just a bit of grit. I think into a little Blues Junior.
People in Europe are quiet. Americans are loud. And I'm not just talking about crowds at concerts. Americans are fucking loud. Like, we can hear you quiet down.
yeah I've seen it now. They do a couple of covers and Julien talks for quite a bit of time. They put on a really good show! Gonna see 'em this Saturday, a special acoustic set only Max and Julian. Cant wait!!!
Girls second album Father, Son, Holy Ghost Mac Demarco's stuff If you haven't heard any of that Olivia Tremor Control, bit more psychedelic Some of of Montreal's output
so i've watched a couple whitney live shows. i love the band's recordings. i think they write amazing songs, the drums are great, the guitars are great. but he just does not sing well live...
They need a singer. Let that man play drums... or sing if he wants. But I think he cant really shine when hes doing both at once. Hes a little robotic singing and he cant really go to town on drums. One or the other and hes great though.

I really, really, REALLY like Julian's drumming style. So full of soul, love that dry bassy snare and his use of hi-hat articulation

A BRO moment

WTF was that? Is Julien gay...or does he just really enjoy kissing dudes? He did a similar thing in another interview.
i’ve always wanted to know how Max gets that amazingly clean guitar sound... does anyone know?
what effects?
Plug your guitar into the amp, done.
Justin Brown using effects i mean.
Telecaster kinda clean

Hermoso
love it!
the audience's lack of hype is annoying
That's Paris alright. People here are jerks.
People in Europe are quiet. Americans are loud. And I'm not just talking about crowds at concerts. Americans are fucking loud. Like, we can hear you quiet down.
Also I don’t think the mics where supposed to pick up the audience people say that about allot of music festivals
I think you can put some of the blame to the fact that french people in general are terrible in English.
Great!
LOVE IT
good stuff
I haven't seen the video yet bue they only have one lbum nd it's like 29 minutes length. How the hell can they do a gig of about 45 minutes?
they talk a lot on stage ;-)
they played 2 covers too
yeah I've seen it now. They do a couple of covers and Julien talks for quite a bit of time. They put on a really good show! Gonna see 'em this Saturday, a special acoustic set only Max and Julian. Cant wait!!!
when i went to see them, they would stretch out there songs by like a few minutes just repeating an instrumental part of the song
rtzqwe And drink a lot lol

magia pura amo polly3
Robb Stark kicks ass at bass.
What a public in France... Really.
Vive les Whitney !!
Kissing, huh? Just don't make this precious creature of a band break up. It would be a shame. :/
Angel Rincon yeah they're like a little magical turtle that sticks their tiny tongue out sometimes
"No Woman" is the final song because I know that's what you're looking for.
posers...
Nick Falletta dude the whole album is so beautiful for you to only listen to that song :/
@Jonathan Exactly
I love Whitney and can't get enough. Can anyone recommend other bands that I might be interested in?

the lack of hype in the audience is making me cringe

Kevin McQuaid but let him play drums _and_ sing if he wants.
Idk my man hes doing pretty good doing both
yeah i agree.... he's sounding pretty shaky and the notes are quite off
Give them a proper singer and they'll be GREAT
mom said not to say anything if I couldn't be positive
the singer is a little to confident to not be hitting a holding those notes
this singing is so bad live. he's too winded from playing the drums to sing, let alone sing in that upper octave there. sorry. bad.
