@@bhadz100 I’ve never messed with one but I’m supposed to have one getting dropped off in the near future to mess with! I know the prb make more torque than the rbc factory so I’d be curious to see how they do ported
@@pop_pops_garage sweet man, by far the best vid on TH-cam for porting a manifold. Do you got any recommendations on how big to make the runners for a turbo build? I know you mentioned leaving a little bit of meat on there so it got me thinking
Yah i know i should be :/ i need to buy one. There’s a ton of stuff i do that i should be wearing one and i dont. I recently started using hearing protection now that i have some hearing loss. A little to late :/
Decent enough but what's with wobbling all around doing it on a stool... That does not promote perfection, comfortable seating while having it solidly mounted on a bench with adequate lighting is key and also being comfortable promotes patience. If anyone plans on working on vehicles bite the bullet and go buy a welder, it makes what you are capable of increase 10 fold, tig or mig pref both but if had pick one prob Tig but nowadays you can buy dirt cheap Amazon imported welders and they actually work pretty good.... If you go Tig buy absolutely buy one that runs AC/DC, if DC only you can't weld aluminum.... if you want to make the learning curve less painful most areas somewhere have adult education with welding classes, there inexpensive and a good resource to learn valuable skills on the cheap.
If i was rich I’d have a cnc machine do it. I’m working with what i got and alllll the manifolds I’ve ever done make good power so if it works it works. Doesn’t have to be the most perfect thing ever it just has to work!
This is one of the best videos about this process. Subbed.
Thanks! i appreceate it! ive been slow on uploads this year i have alot going on currently
@@pop_pops_garage And those aluminum-specific carbide bits are legit, man. It really makes things so much easier taking real chips with fewer flutes.

@@champchamp1774 i really just go by gut/feel
I prefer to use a respirator or at least a mask when working with aluminium especially making Al dust.
