Mercedes, volvo and old Soviet cars were all Europe and eastern culture. American cars are Chevy, ford, Plymouth, Pontiac, etc.. American cars always catered to their market yes… but it was the European / Japanese design and style of cars that has molded the latter part of the century… both in aesthetics and engineering.

Water can be an example, but only problem is the efficiency is 2 times worse than hydrogen, which means cheap cars wont be made with water but only the expensive ones which is bad for people who want to tune the cheap ones.
