- This is the final instance for All of Nothing, The Crystal Dragon. This episode is the fifth episode of Living World Season 4.

They really outdone themselves with this... The fight, the story, the cutscene... everything is much MUCH better, I am proud of them.
This was a truly amazing mission, ArenaNet did a fantastic job with everything from the mechanics (making sure they were not too annoying) to the cliffhanger ending. Probably one of the best pieces of MMO content I've ever played.
I know a bunch of people are bitching but honestly this is the best dragon fight ive ever seen

I just love that everyone was annoyed that they only showed Kralkatorik's head
Then in the next episode you have a 360 view of his entire body and a map which allows you to walk over him
You know I consider myself a tough guy, not much gives me the chills or gets me to go "woah", this fight did, but honestly my favourite part was the Zephyrite Choir every time you blasted the crystals... such an abseloute epic touch.
This fight.... I almost cried while battling Kralk's torment inside him and listening to him talk about being in pain and being proud of Aurene... definitely my most favourite Elder Dragon
I’m the same, i can’t believe that he was this type of elder dragon. The others didn’t care, just want all the power but he knew what the elder drakes duties were. Is a shame he had to go but what a way to go out!

This is an example of ArenaNet at the top of their game. Really great writing and build-up of the story to this cliffhanger ending. The mechanics were well-designed (which is not always the case for GW2 boss fights). And they even give players the choice of taking buffs so we can play to see the STORY the first time we experience it.
This is the _only_ time I have ever seen an MMO offer something close to a difficulty slider, a mechanic used in the single player games all the time. I usually play through RPGs on easy mode the first time to see the story, then increase the difficulty to unlock stuff. It was fantastic to see ArenaNet doing something like that.
I noticed the OP took the buffs : ) I wonder how many others did that the first time they played this mission.
I have to admit, I had shaded a couple of tears over Aurene and had a pit in my heart each time I played this until the follow up to the story.
Maybe I missed it, but hopefully this means we're getting a group event out of Kralkatorrik. Something as intimate as a dungeon kinda belittles characters as great as elder dragons.
A lot of people hated the original Karka battle because it was a single day event; but maybe they need something like that.

Nice fight and cutscenes..However, i still cant understand why they have chosen the story road to give access to elder dragon fights.
The world boss mode is the obvious way those fights should be fought, that is what would make the game interesting once again and give back some of its mmo description.
Story mode could very well be a way to get access to those fights.
Epic world boss mode is the thing that made gw2 famous in the first place and i see that they have pretty much abandoned it completely years ago..And instead, from what i see, they completely relied on the story mode, which is essentially the reason i quit.
I love you GW2 but please become an MMO again.
you obviously havn't actually played this at all. the only elder dragon you fight that isn;t a world boss is Zhaitan. Mordremoth and kralkatorik are both world bosses. in fact their best content outside of story stuff is their map meta. that is their bread and butter. I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. they never abandoned it. they doubled down and made even better meta events then the base game.

She actually did die but came back due to having om nommed on Joko's magic that lets him come back from the dead.

Just hope they don't wait for an expansion because they are running out of Tyria for new expansions and it's too soon for Cantha.
Well yea, the new kids could compare this to IW. But this is exactly what happened years to Glint, the previous dragon that fought against Kralkatorrik with Destiny's Edge.

@@WizardIllustrator Well, they have to retcon Aurene back to life or Kralkatorrik just gobbles up all magic (and large cities) in Tyria and the dragons go back to nap to rinse and repeat 10,000 years later.
Given the massive turnover at Arena Net and the lack of an expansion announcement; they might have been better off having you triumph over Kralkatorrik; in case the Living World goes dead and they go to a skeleton crew to sustain.
@@mancersomething59 There was no prophecy guiding Glint and she knew one of her children could succeed in her Legacy if she failed.
If you remember, it has to be another crystal dragon because of the resonance in crystals. Then Aurene enlists the Tyrians in starving the other dragons and they all take a nap; game over.
@@chuckles9702 Not going to lie, Im guessing for the first time that GW or Arenanet is probably seeing its expiration date. I have more thoughts on this but its too much opinionated on experience and feelings with its current approach on things.
Im betting...GW1 is going to go inactive soon. GW2 is going to go inactive maybe 5 years if nothing changes. Or or...they some how pull a Bunjie and utilize the best aspects of GW1, GW2 and other popular games and make something new.
