I miss my old Brother printer/copy. Much clearer picture, easier to print many more copies, printer/copy papers didn't end on the floor from the too-small tray, much larger paper tray. The Brother had a choice of shading, and was easier to how to set up. This 4155 feels like my old 1995 fax printer. Unfortunately, Brother copy/printer seems to be unavailable for the past year----if Brother comes back, I'll grab it.

All I was looking for was a printer to pringt from my laptop. I thought it would be nice if it worked as a a copier too. turns out it does. And with this video, it looks like setup is easier than I thought. One question I do have. I'll probably use this thing 3 or 4 times a year. This is my first wi-fi printer.

Great channel! I have several old photos that I'd like to scan into a folder but not print.Do I just place them on the scanner? Then what would I do next to not print but just save into a folder to send later? I have a 2021 iMac-not sure if that makes a difference.
Just place on scanner bed and then ise a lptop or mobile to start scanning. Ise mobile download hp smart app and then add printer in the app and go to scan button and start scanning.

so that's how you use the epic document feeder!! I was doing pages manually on the glass scanner. What benefit is there for the glass over the document feeder???

I got this printer for my son for online school he's in 8th grade. We've been having problems with it since we set it up. First it wouldn't connect to our wifi. Finally got that with the help of your videos, but now my printer is saying "this feature isn't supported for the selected printer. Connect to a different printer to use this feature.."
Um it's a 3in1 what does it mean it's not "supported" ? I'm so confused with this thing. It's very frustrating. If anyone knows why this Is happening and how I can scab documents please let me kno!!
Great how to video. Is it possible to lighten the document when using copy function ? I can’t find ability to do so in HP support. It just says in general go to settings to change darkness quality but I don’t see ability to change in settings fir HP 4100
You can get thst option in computer or laptop but not sure.

Follow the steps at 1:51 - 2:02 and hold down the gray copy button on the far right of the printer. Hold it down till the 0 turns to a number.

Because I make the scan f.e. 7 pages and i want to send 1 page, I can't.

Start scan and after first scan place second page on scanner and hit scan button in app again, do it for all pages and in the end save as pdf as single file or jpeg. For seprate pages scan each seprately and save each file.

I’m having trouble with my printer it is saying it is out of paper and that the tray is empty or open, I have put the paper in correctly like shown in your video I’m unsure why it is saying this in the HP smart app
You have to switch off the printer and unplug it for 10 minutes and then reconnect again and check if the problem is sorted or not.

so the only way to make a copy is to scan
Here in rural Wisconsin, our internet connection is haphazard. More often unavailable than available. I get error message "Printer is offline" when trying to print before bedtime. I tried your suggestion to open Wi-fi on my iphone, but got a new error message: "Unable to join the network "DIRECT-00-HP DeskJet Plus 4100." I used the password taped to my internet router. What else could I be doing wrong?
Direct-00-HP .... This is inbuilt wifi of the printer. This means printer is not online but its wifi direct is on. You need to enter prinyers password for direct method not the router password. If you want to use this method then print the wifi direct password and then use it for connection.
wifi direct is useful for wireless setup when internet is not avilable. You can watch my videos on this printer series - How to do WiFi Direct Setup. Its easy.

You can select the option as document feeder tray.
I want to print some pictures in my camera roll and drive but whenever i press print it gets stuck on the "printer peview" page. I reload it, i waited and it stays on that page. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can do scan and print but not anything on my phone.

It can print to smaller size.

Yes it can do multiple pages. If you have any issue then reset the printer and setup again or delete from the app in mobile and add again. That should work.
so basically you cant scan without the app... this video is super helpful...the scanner not so much... im gonna have to return this i def do not have time to run to an app to scan work from home items all day long

Try to check if laptop has windows scan app installed or not. That is required to do scan.
If anyone gets a Blinking Orange light you have the wrong Type of Carthage of Ink. You need 67 type. Not 65.

It has no scan button. You can do it from computer after installing.
@@CopyPrintScanChannel When I try that way, I'm on my Desk Top PC, I am using HP Smart App on by Desk Top PC. Even thought the printer says READY. it gives me an error message.... saying Scanner is currently unavailable. (even though my wi fi button shows it is connected. it says Please select Home to ensure your printer is connected and active, once connected return here and scan. I check and it is connected and it is active. still wont scan. I then try and use my phone HP SMART APP. IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER.

I can't scan to my computer? Not everyone uses a phone for everything. Then I have to switch WiFi to get onto the printers network, and it leaves me without internet? Where is the Smart in that? Then when I want to install your android app "HP Smart" I have to log in? I think HP is trying to mimic Google and control the world. Well guess what HP? You're making it very hard to use your stuff. I may send this printer back to Amazon and get the Epson, or better yet, some no-name printer that doesn't want to control everything in my life. It's not going to take many scans to my phone that I have to move to my computer to make me very sick of this.
