If you watch the entire video he shows you how to scan towards the end of the video and once you have the HP Smart app, you can share it via email. Thanks for your video. I was able to scan using the app and send it via email. It's so cold it was very useful.

The HP DeskJet 4130e printer is a piece of garbage. this shitty printer probably requires a constant Internet connection and HP doesn't inform or warn about it on the packaging. The need to connect to the Internet to print is absurd. Of course, sharing the Internet from your phone is not enough for her because it does not detect it as the Internet. If you somehow manage to connect to the printer via Wi-Fi direct, the HP Smart application will not see it. of course, the phone sees the printer sometimes and sometimes for a reason... there are the same problems with using a USB cable. after connecting to the computer with a USB cable, the computer does not always see it through the HP Smart application. and nobody knows why. it doesn't throw errors, it doesn't print. a print queue is created and can only be deleted. this is probably caused by the lack of internet. the manufacturer did not refine the printer to include, for example, a built-in router. which would make communication easier. a completely unfinished product. I do not recommend this type of HP printers. I need to change to Epson

Great video but this is utterly ridiculous how complicated everything is with "modern technology" This did not work for me as the printer can't connect to app for scanning. Having 3 different apps for 1 printer is beyond irritating. It's already connected because I can print but doesn't connect for scanning?
I miss the 90's when all these were done without ridiculous apps and you just pressed 2 buttons then it was done!

@@erlanggahawal85 I did figure it out,,, you have to open the Windows fax and scanner tool on the puter,,, then you can hit the New Scan tab on the left, and it should open a printer window that will let you choose options for feeder / dpi,, and other stuff

You have to register the printer n get hp acct. no matter what u want to use it for.... They track the ink usage ....thats the scam/ catch hp has got us

For HP 4152e Steps I used- HP easy scan. Click presets drop-down menu. Select source, drop-down menu and press document feeder.

Hi I have a different printer model from HP but I wanted to know if it's necessary for me to get the software on my pc in order to scan. I have been able to print without the software but not sure if scanning will work. I have the HP Envy 4520 all in one. It prints, scans, and faxes. Also great video by the way :)

Was able to get my item scanned. I was looking for instruction on how scan directly from the printer to my laptop, not having to use my phone. My previous HP printer allowed me to do that.

The flatbed scanner has more resolution in case it's important for you.
