    Thanks for the video. Extremely helpful. I'm 27 and opening up a a shop. My lease starts in January of 19'. The shop is in the process of being furnished. That's my mentality. Start off small and grow accordingly. Would love to speak with u to get further information to avoid mistakes. All in all.. thanks a lot for the information

      Chris O all those are good to sell in your shop. I recently added headphones and chargers in the shop and they sell all day long. Sample stuff first as what may work in your shop may not work in another. So get small inventory first. If it works, re-up bigger.

    Bro bro..I'm in barber school now about to graduate. I see myself opening a show vs working in others right away ...? I don't like the energy and mindset of a lot of shops and barbers..
    Any advice

      Rudy V. Same here am at the same position. I don’t like the vibe of many barbershop owners I guess I came across the wrong ones. Even tho they loved me but at the same time it’s because i brought a lot of revenue and I was kind of like a money magnet and also a good person at heart. My opinion is. If you are a really good barber and can cut every type of hair than you can open your shop because you don’t have a limit to express your art. You need to be so good that when you cut someone’s hair off the bat they want to come back for the following haircut.

    Congrats Bruhh, How do u take care of the outlet issue ? is it a electrician thing before opening or just run extension cords ? Each barber has to plug in his clippers...

    • @BarberShopCashFlow

      IYSISNASIR I got lucky. The wall already had outlets in place from previous store. I didn't need to run electric

    If I own my own commercial space, i dont cut hair but want to open barbershop and rent out space or chairs. What is a low and high charge for barbers to rent the "space" or "chair" space.

    I’m trying to open up a shop without being a barber, I’ll just rent out stations for other barbers. Do you think this is possible? And also do you think the bank will give me a loan to be able to do this ?

    • @BarberShopCashFlow
      @BarberShopCashFlow  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jordan Wells that’s risky business. If barbers know you need them they will try you. If they all walk out then you are stuck. Not saying it’s impossible but you need to consider that fact.

    Your shop could be the fanciest shop in the world but if your cuts ain’t
    Fancy than good luck. Another thing is you can’t be limited as a barber if you really want to make money in the business you need to cut every type of hair. My opinion is and that’s what I believe if you can’t cut hair with scissors your not a real barber.

      I spent months looking for a decent barber college, I wanted to focus on cosmetology first so I can learn long hair and styling. But I got so lucky I found a school that will teach me long hair and styling manicure pedicure and barber. Basically all the necessities without wasting money and time. So you're right it's about service not how loud the music is, or that you have a pool table that flips into ping pong, the nicest chairs, it's about what you can provide

    • @iJuanGutierrez
      @iJuanGutierrez 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Cruz thanks for your thoughts. Wow you found GOLD, good for you man how’s it going ? Learning much ? It’s so hard to find someone that has the gift of teaching.

    • @iiSup3rior

      @@iJuanGutierrez i start on September 23. And Im anxious and excited. Texas requires 1500 hours and no apprenticeship is allowed. The barber program only takes like 300 he's to complete so the teacher decided that learning the same thing 5 times is good but teaching more to prepare us for what's modern is better

    • @iJuanGutierrez
      @iJuanGutierrez 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Cruz I see. Nice, never give up bro! It’s a process just work on your craft. One thing I’m going to say is don’t think that you will leave school prepared, not to sound negative but the real work will start at the barbershop that’s where you will learn for real because you won’t have the teacher around to help. You can watch soo many videos on how todo this and that but if you don’t put it to practice and put in your 10 thousand hours of work, you won’t feel like you mastered it. Good luck! To you on your journey. It’s a great line of work. Also I suggest to stick to someone who knows what they are doing and is already successful.

    • @iJuanGutierrez
      @iJuanGutierrez 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Cruz you will never stop learning ever about the craft. I’ve learned from multiple barbers diff tricks. It’s like a puzzle you put together on the style that you want.
