I think the difference between this community from most is that most of the bad dramas happened in one year instead of being more spread out. The community would be much better off if we had time to heal but all the punches came at once so it was much harder to move on. At least that's what I think

When I saw Freddy my hurt aches it was like I wanted to cry out to him,
It makes me miss those days in 2014 where a kid like me could just enjoy fnaf watching everyday fun theories and talk to everyone at school about it the next day

Despite being a very OG fnaf fan, I really love security breach! And because I am a very OG fnaf fan, it absolutely breaks my heart to see my community, my home, in such disarray and conflict. It all started when the community betrayed Scott, ripped him out of the franchise and cast him out of the picture like he was nothing. Nothing happened to the person who found Scott’s political donations and selfishly told everyone. He did something very horrible, and instead of targeting the person who had sealed Scott’s fate, the community went after the man who started all of this just because of his beliefs. Ever since Scott left the picture, the community has become a war zone. I have been part of fnaf ever since the first game came out all the way back in 2014. This community was my home, and I just want my community back. I’m sick of all the fighting. I’m sick of all the hate. I’m done with that. I just want my community to go back to the way it was. Back to 2014. It’s funny how as you grow up, you learn that the world isn’t just sunshine and rainbows, but a very horrific and terrifying place. I feel like that has happened to the fnaf community. We started out young, only bonded by our love for a small indie game that we thought was just going to end or fall into the abyss sometime soon. Then, as we grew, we expanded, and became a bigger community than anyone ever thought we could be. And now, that means nothing to anyone. Now all that everyone does in this community is find ways to start controversy and give death threats to anyone who disagrees with them. I was only 6 years old when the first fnaf game came out, and I remember as clear as day. Now I am 14 years old and next year I am going into high school. I don’t want to be that guy, but I consider myself to be a true fnaf fan. I bet that there are other true fnaf fans out there other than me. True fnaf fans who have been along for the ride ever since the first game was released, like me. I am so disappointed with the state of the fnaf community. We have fallen, but we can rise again. We can get our respect back. Our community back.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. I truly think we can get our community back, and our home back, and restore them to their rightful glory. Thank you.

The sadest part is, this happens to all fanbases eventually. Undertale had it, sonic had it (probably one of the longest too), even the fnaf fangames had it.
The problem is, the toxicity is usually from a smaller part of the fanbase; they're just so much more louder that it drowns out all the other people that care about it and share opinions with respect.

I’ve never really thought about it this way. However, while I do still think that this song is supposed to be a sort of message from the _Five Nights at Freddy’s_ franchise to the _FNaF_ community, but I also think that the lyrics have a double meaning. I think that it’s also supposed to be the spirits of the deceased children talking to William Afton:
“Long time ago it was all for a show [William and Henry Emily created the original animatronics, Fredbear and Springbonnie, to put on a show for children];…”
“…fill our wounds with a pound of salt [William rubbed salt into their wounds by making the children’s situation even worse after killing them: he stuffed their corpses into animatronic suits, trapping their spirits]!”
”And your reason to justify scars you can’t quantify lock us inside a vault [Willam tried to justify the scars that he inflicted upon the children by having a “good reason” to murder them. This, regardless of his “justification”, locked the children inside of a vault (“vault” being the animatronic endoskeletons), trapping their spirits]!”
“Now this is your fault! Everything is a problem [everything that has happened is because of William. Now, everything is a problem]!”
“There was a poison in the air, despair is an eternal blight [there was a feeling of poison in the air on those days when William killed those children]!”
“You’re losing it all! You’ve been blinded by stardom [William was blinded by the stardom that he had earned from the popularity of Fazbear Entertainment, making him think he could get away with the things he was doing without consequences, and now he’s losing it everything]!”
“You think that you’re alone, but we are waiting for you every night! You’re mine [this line is the animatronics talking to William, letting him know that they are going to be there to haunt him for his sins every night, and that his soul belongs to them now (this could also possibly be a reference to _Ultimate Custom Night,_ but I’m not exactly sure)]!”

Toxicity and drama are why I hate people like Theft King. He only cares about himself. This community would be better of without bad actors like him
But we also have to be responsible for our own actions. Despite our creativity and passion, we are often our own worst enemies.
This song has done something that no other Fnaf song like it has: made me reflect on this community as a whole. I was only really a fan around SL, I was never here for nearly as long as others.
But at the end of the day, this series, and this community are what saved me from spiralling into depression and suicide. Because of this community’s existence, I’m able to even conceptualise fan games and other projects.

I feel like the line "lock us inside a vault" Is more of just an allegorical statement. When sb first came out and new fans started joining the fandom, older fans started gatekeeping the old games, locking them away from the newer fans. I feel like tlt is most likely speaking directly to the fandom through this song and that line feels directed to the people who quite literally wanted the old games locked away from the newer fans. And with this song telling the fandom that every part of it is destroying the games, the fun from inside; Tlt with this lyric is telling the old fans, using the old characters who judge us, to let the games out. Let them be free so people can enjoy it. Let new players play the old games in order to keep this fandom alive. The breakdowns of many fandoms have been caused the same way and if we are to keep this fandom afloat, we must let new people in.

I didn't care much about the games after I left but I still cared enough to check in. No matter who you are as a fan, one thing is for sure, as the song says; "YOU'RE MINE". I saw your old video and enjoyed it. All I could hear was agony MCI85 Due to fazbear frights.
Then after years of watching fighting in the community, the new book confirms MCI83 and all those years of blind belief and fighting was for nothing. Yet agony is
Still used to explain the shadows
    Any event we don't understand
    The blob
    Afton being alive
    Eleanor
You pointed out, shadow bonnie was in the follow me minigame behind the wall before Afton got spring locked.
There's no debate anymore, combining ideas together to work things out, nobody ask "what if the agony thing was wrong" without backlash.
Yes there are parts of this that are steel wools fault, how they handled both vanny and burntrap was embarrassing, and some endings cut off before you even had time to process what you just saw. The fun of exploring the pizzaplex with wonder and finding interesting things was replaced with bots hindering your every move and fear to find a save port just so you didn't need to do the same thing over and over. And obviously when the fear is finding a save port rather than the actual animatronics in the game, that's a huge problem.
These issues are not the fanbase fault, and the biggest thing steel wool did that damaged the community, was the trailers.
The trailers are always the best starting point to theories. We watched them, found things peice by peice.
"When I first found you ,you were nothing" fanbase exited Afton is back, sounds incredible "Gregory please come out, I'm sorry I lost my temper earlier,it was a glitch" fanbase hyped for vanny,it's going to be amazing "you will bring me what I want and if you fail me you will both of you burn" fanbase hyped for facing this ...
Then the game has none of it, all the theorys, the trailer had us with, gone, 3 trailers that meant nothing.
So although I agree the community is split, and changes can happen like MCI85 to MCI83 and agony could change.
It was what was in the security breach trailers but yet was not in the game, the fear of finding a save file over the atmosphere of the game, and the handling of the most hyped up villian vanny, that really fractured the community.

I’m gonna cry… I remember joining the fnaf community in 2015 and I wish we still had those days… now everyone expects the movies and games to be on top and if it don’t go the way they want they hate it. I remember when no one cared about the looks of the game as long as there was one. There was no arguing there was no hate, it was peaceful. It’s going to end up being too much for whoever’s in charge next and one day they are just going to quit making Fnaf games/ movies. Then everyone will regret it. Im not saying it’s everyone just some people. You should be great full for what your getting because one day it may be gone. And it might be because of you…

I was crying she had no Idea what I was going on about. To this day I still have a hatred for what Scott had to put up with . But I believe in change so I'm sure we can all do better.

I think the fandom really went down hill when we stopped acknowledging the beauty and uniqueness of the FNAF games and franchise, and focused instead on the drama involving Scott as well as other fandom members. The FNAF fandom inspired so many people to create their own horror stories, characters, and even video games. The Five Nights At Freddy’s games ignited many peoples’ passion to draw. I started my career as an artist drawing FNAF characters. There was so much good that came from the FNAF franchise, but the fandom made it toxic. Many people who were inspired by FNAF and created their own characters, video games, etc. received harassment by other members of the fandom for what they made. It seems like a large part of the fandom has forgotten the true appeal of FNAF that made it great. I hate that SB got such a bad rap, as I find it to be a really beautiful and enticing game that explored the darker parts of Fazbear Entertainment Co. This Comes From Inside does a perfect job of highlighting the problems of this fandom, while also reminding FNAF fans that the old days are not yet lost. Both the song and the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise are masterpieces.

It's been something I've been obsessed with since I was really really young, and as years passed and new games kept coming out, I've always been so happy. I don't really know why, but I've never felt in any way that all of this games coming out were just a way to make money. New games for me just meant new content to create anything It makes me happy out for, like cosplays or drawings or just studying and analyzing the story because that's just simply how I like it.

You honestly described the deeper meaning perfectly. The way TLT added in the FNAF 1 and 2 animatronics was just an amazing idea to show their reaction towards the fandom then and now. I must say the fan base has really changed over the years from being excited and happy for a new game that is enjoyable, to the hatred of security breach and the creator himself, Scott Cawthon. As we all remember, the 2014-2015/16 days were probably the best. “Don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy that it happened.”

You think that this dream would make me horrified of these games, but no, I was intrigued, I needed to know more, and that was the beginning of me and FNaF, nowadays that sense of horror, mystery, and wonder is gone. Maybe it's cuz I've grown up but even at my age I can still be scared, maybe FNaF security breach wasn't made for old fans, maybe it was made for new fans. It just breaks my heart to see the community so broken and divided, maybe we need a nightmare or two to remind us what this series is about.

I don't know what this song is alluding to the true point or purpose or even if it fits that purpose well enough.
What I can say is that from my experience of the games ever since the first Mat Pat Theory and watching Mark.
Which is about as far back as I go.
I think what happened to this fandom besides Scotts donations and the political nature of where things went was simply more people joining and situations creating more toxcitiy.
Every community gets a little toxic or has that toxic air Toxicity exists everywhere possibly within everyone I think what happened to the series or the community was that they started realizing some of the toxicity and let situations like Scotts thing amplify it and let it take over the twitter showing after Scotts thing with the Thank you scott shows that most of the real FANS never cared at all they would understand the true picture or just believe in this franchise.
The power of a Vocal minority is powerful.
I mean just look at my Ski-
I'm not going to say that even though I think it's a fitting example possibly it's too controversial to finish that sentence.
Sometimes when you treat the vocal minority as the majority or the strong force is when such problems happen.

See I get where your coming from but I feel the song I more a discussion with the first part, in the comic book style, being the devs talking to the fans, and the 3D animation focused second part is fans talking back.
“There was a pre existing dictum programmed to do nothing else” and “how could we feel so alone when we share so much wisdom” both sound like the delves being stuck in a loop of trying to live up to expectations, and also them feeling cut off from the fans even though they know the full lore.
“Now this is your fault”, “you’ve been blinded by stardom”, “your reason to justify scars you can’t quantify” are the fans criticizing the devs for the lack of care and the over all “scars”, aka glitches, that littered and ruined security breach for new and old fans alike.
I’d also like to point out that the fans and the devs being represented by Gregory, a child, is also a fitting way to portray both sides. For the devs have been making the fnaf games for kids more and more, thus they view the fandom as metaphorical children who don’t know what they want and are just throwing a tantrum, when the devs are represented by Gregory it is because the devs are the newest arrivals to the fandom only being picked up recently and are turning a once beloved series into just another cash cow with marketable plushes, action figures and apps for mommy’s phone.

This explenation of the song sounds accutate enough to me, though i personally always thought it was about how the game series became ever since scott retired, like how the new company felt "blinded by stardom" and changed far too much the game as we know it, going from an 80's horror to a futuristic sci-fi thing, (starting from fnaf vr with glitchtrap somehow being metaverse william afton, which ???? oke i guess lmao)
It sorta felt like veterans commenting how they felt about the new fnaf games by the new company or sumn.
This aside, I personally don't mind that, i think fnaf truly ended with fnaf pizzeria simulator, everything from there on feels detached from the lore so i consider it a sequel that can not be possibly be compared with the prequel due to its diversity.
