I think, apart from the design of the console, this has got to be a T.A.R.D.I.S.

I think we can all agree Mr. Fasham
has to be one of the coolest narrow boaters you’ve ever interviewed David! Wow! This beauty reminds me of a genre/theme known as “steam punk.” At any rate this boat is by far one of the best you’ve ever interviewd!! What an amazing concept! One of my fav videos

“Rivets 5000” is, to me, the greatest name ever given to anything on earth, inanimate or otherwise.

Reminds me of French bumper sticker on the "cinq (5) sans (without) turbo". The 500 cc bubble car by Fiat

Rivets 5000 sounds like a name Wallace and Gromit would call it. It looks like something they would build too. I love UK culture.

A strong contender would have to be Dorothy Parker’s parrot Onan - named so because he spilled his seed upon the ground. I’ve always wanted a dog called Helix.

Thank you for introducing us to Mr. Fasham and his narrow boat, Ferrous. He looks like a mad scientist and I mean that in a very respectful way. His narrow boat is truly a work of art by a true genius.

I watched this with a broad smile on my face throughout. Edwin is obviously one of those 'mad inventors' who's mind works on a different plane to the rest of us. Truly a unique & fascinating individual. Many thanks for sharing David 👍

"Utterly bonkers and yet Glorious" describes both boat builds perfectly. My only complaint about this video is that I thought it to short, I am so looking forward to your next vlog covering cruising with these unique craft.

Steampunk lives on a canal boat! What a wonderful demonstration of one man's ingenuity. That tunnel light just lifting up on its scissor jack just left me laughing, why not lift it up like that? But wait, where is the screw thread to make it lift? Maybe I didn't see that bit. Of course the chimney drops by a motor operating hinge, doesn't everybody's? What an awesome motor and so clean. Quite obviously this is all a work of love and passion from one of Martha's Sons. The Rivets 500 is a stunning little craft and the side benefit of it being able to "tug" a full-sized canal boat is just so impressive. Thank you, David, for bringing us these fun creations of Edwin, I certainly want to see more of his engineering marvels.

If you build a steampunk narrowboat, the exposed Gardner motor is the obvious choice.. what else could you use??!
The whole thing is brilliant: crazy but brilliant.. In a world where most people go and buy a standard model of whatever, so they all end up looking very similar, to see something unique like Ferrous brightens my day.

Always a joy to watch... no gimmicks, SFX or jarring audio levels... old school, but not quite as old scool as the subject matter.
