In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
Great video. What if one of my Lowrance devices is showing a temp that’s approximately 15° higher than the other one? The other graph is showing an accurate temp. Same location and depth where I’m getting the two different temp readings.

Problem is it reads 48.7 degrees F, and our outside temperature ( boat is not in the water, and I stopped the sonar ) is 90 degrees F. Do I need to fix this in the calibration , or is there something else going on ? I just swapped out a Gen 2 9" to a Gen2 12", and it all worked great on the 9". Please help ! The fishing is doing great right now !

I was on the Detroit River walleye fishing and everyone was saying the temps around 42, but my units showed 63… definitely sounded too high and that everyone else had to be correct for spring, so turned on my fish hawk and sure enough it says 42. So any idea how to make sure it shows correct temp? Thanks
I just downloaded the new fish reveal software update and lost my temperature display. I was able to restore the display after watching this tutorial. Thank you
Danny, I'm not completely happy with it. I like the concept but I think it messed with my other settings. My 2D is not the same. Seems less detailed. I have to constantly re adjust it. Sometimes while using it I pick up long colored lines on the bottom. I guess it's a hard bottom not fish. On the positive side, I do pick up high lighted fish in structure that I might have not seen before.
John thank you for info, for myself i tried it but i took back off for now. I think newer upgrades are coming if not I am going to try the fish reveal again because I only use it a few times. Thanks again, PS the upgrade did the same to me...change some of my settings and features.

Fresh water only. I know thats pretty broad.Looking at reliability ease of use and fetchers clarity around $2000 Australian. Looking for any useful input.

you should contact anybody in marine industry such as Suzuki and lifejacket manufactures , lures etc. to check your web page and place their product in your conversation .. in the movie the hero works at McDonald . Contact their advertisement department .

I've watched this video and did exactly what was said to do on my HDS7Gen1 unit. Water temp was still going crazy like changing constantly up and down by heaps. One minute its at 18oC then it changes to -4oC upto 8oC then up to 14oC then back down again all in a space of a minute. I changed my tranducer as I thought it was the sensor inside my old one as it was doing the exactly the same. Surely it cant be the new transducer or is it likely the unit itself? Can anyone please help me with this issue? It drives me nuts.
i start getting 3 dashes on my depth when i get in over 80 feet of water for some reason. i have the hds 9 carbon and it is set on auto depth.. it only happens when i get in deeper water at the lake. trying to figure out if i hit some thing in the settings it used to work right. when i get the three dashes screen is pretty much blank. im using totalscan transducer. if you have any tips i would love try it. thank you and great videos!
This is what I hate about Lowrance. I lost track after 9 button presses. I never would have figured this out on a pitching boat. Lowrance needs to be more intuitive. Water temp is a basic feature for fish finders. If Lowrance wants to earn my business in the future, they need to make their units more intuitive. You shouldn't have to have "tips" videos for your products on basic features.

This is what I hate about Lowrance. I lost track after 9 button presses. I never would have figured this out on a pitching boat. Lowrance needs to be more intuitive. Water temp is a basic feature for fish finders. If Lowrance wants to earn my business in the future, they need to make their units more intuitive. You shouldn't have to have "tips" videos for your products on basic features.
Old news but current problem for me - note, my Garmin gives me correct temp and time of day without any adjustments out of the box.
