New subscriber from the states. Love to see this. My late uncle used to protect their rose bushes with jugs such as this. My aunt and uncle had the prettiest grass, roses and just a gorgeous countryside. Miss them, those happy summer days and their knowledge and in my life. Im a grandmother and love gardening. God bless you and thank you. Ive enjoyed watching your videos. Your birds sound happy.

Just found your channel today. Three vids in and I'm hooked. I love that you reuse and repurpose things. My father grew up in Co Cavan during ration times. He was a big believer in finding a second or even third use for an item. Not a fan of our throw away ways. Repairing and reusing was a way of life I grew up seeing.. Your doing a great job and giving loads of information while your at it. Gardening and the love of it made accessible :)

A man after my heart. I love finding ways to reuse plastic as it’s so nasty for the environment. When I finish any container, I wash out put and sit looking at it to dream up ways to make it useful again. People really need to do this as it saves money and keeps stuff out of landfills. Thanks for this post. Be well.

Forgot to say I love the premise of your channel. Reduce, reuse & recycle; the 3 R's. It doesn't occur to a lot of people that the plastic gardening paraphernalia that they spend time & good money to acquire from stockists is more than likely sitting around in their kitchens and or recycling bins. It's often made of the same type of plastic... which they've already paid for when they did their grocery shopping.

Love, love, love. Now stand the bottle upright cut between the handle top and the lid, a quarter of the way strait down on each side, then to the front of the bottle. This is a scoop! I use this to water my pots in the front yard from the rain barrel. Only I use the gallon jugs. I use the the one solid w/holes in the lid to water seedlings and lettuce. Lettuce loves to cool off. Also if you take your jugs, cut off the bottom and bury the (without the lid) upside down- plant them and it conserves water directly to the plant. While still allowing roots out if need be. You could make that hole bigger too. Hanging pots...etc. I love clever ideas like this. Good job!

  • @Amis464

Great stuff. I've picked up to two more use from your videos 😊👍. We are also big milk users and hence plenty. Nothing goes to waste. Never bought plant labels. I use dish washing steel wool or scourge to rub away markers but now I have so many labels I don't need to. Another use you can add is using the bottle as a cloche. I cut off the seedling tray part and make a hole in the cap for ventilation and prop it on newly planted seedling in the garden and end of winter. Also used it to make a template for sowing seed.cut out flat pieces to fit your tray and make holes and sow seeds. No thinning required and better when time to transplant. Love your work. Great video.

    Awesome! 😊 love this!!!
I was thinking about making a hanging herb garden out of them by cutting off the bottom, nailing them to a board by the handle, and poking holes in the cap as drainage.
Also, I use hand sanitizer to wipe my markings off of the labels. Wipes right off with a paper towel after a few wipes.
Have a Blessed day my friend! Thank you for this brilliant idea! 👍👍👍

I love your ideas! I was just diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I get very dizzy but gardening is the top of the list over playing my mandolin, sewing and any other hobbies I have. I get something so beautiful out of just little effort and for the most part, there's no danger in getting hurt, especially with the homemade items you just showed me how to make. I can't work anymore so if I can get disability, I will spread my garden out a lot bigger and can hopefully have a greenhouse and grow all year long. It sure does come in handy when you don't have money for groceries. Thank you so much, you have made me happy today! One other thing...How do you find out what milk containers are made of?

Great ideas. I have rifled through my bin to get more plastic bottles out so I can show a group of Syrian Asylum Seekers who on a miniscule budget, are keen to grow a few vegetables. Making these tools too will be helping their recycling habits .Such great ideas-thankyou so much.Brilliant!
