I lived in colorado for a few years and i definitely agree. Dont try to impress, because you wont. Dont try to act like you know things, because its not your mountain. Pay attention to the signs and adhere. Just enjoy it, send it where its safe and dont go too hard, and call it a day! You wont be on a tiktok, no one is watching you aside from no running into you. Love the attitude. As i got older, its more about safety than anything. Fun will always be had, but fun can be negated by something as stupid as someone sending it 45 mph down a crowded green and slamming into you.

I get free days at Red River and Angel fire with my Monarch pass. I have wanted to try them both for a couple of years now! You make RR look like a fun place!

I much prefer Red River over Angel Fire. Great mountain.

I love Angel Fire. Honestly its my favorite mountain in NM. I like it more than Santa Fe Ski although Santa Fe is fun too!

Question- is re-run a two way trail? Looks like the only way to get back from the silver chair?

Re Run PRIMARILY flows FROM Silver, but you are allowed to walk the other direction if you desire to get to the top of Silver from Emerald.

Red river is the second best ski resort in New Mexico in my opinion. They are obviously known for the beginner and intermediate skier, but there blacks are still really and have some decently hard stuff. They also have the third most snow in New Mexico each year, just behind ski Santa Fe who is having the season of the century, and Taos who always gets the most snow in New Mexico.

Red River is my Hometown, and Home Hill along with Taos Ski Valley, the best kept secret in Ski Country! When you visit, don’t forget to try Town Challenge Ski Races on Thursday, loads of fun!
