Worlds is major for the games involved. Even those of us who didn’t get invites or even tried to- we all watched the streams, analyze the lists, talk shop, cheer for our fav players and or countries. It’s the Super Bowl for our hobby. Losing that takes the wind out of the sails. I’m very happy they did this move. Fingers crossed it all continues through the financial troubles and beyond!
We are looking forward to being at AdeptiCon, and if the past is anything to go by we expect to be broadcasting Armada into people's homes next March.

I am glad they went back on the only grand tournament decision. I think making it an open invite is a good compromise and if that reduces their costs enough to allow for both grand tournaments and worlds then I am all for it. My biggest concern is ticket availability in this type of set up, but we will see how it shakes out.
Our current hope is that with the new location in Milwaukee that there will be plenty of tickets available. Our reasoning: at least double the space for AMG games is possible.

I think it would be neat to have a list of world-wide GT winners and perhaps one day have a tournament of “champions.”

Only chance qualifier is such a good name :D
It is definitely descriptive. This should be fun though - it allows a lot of people to try out for Worlds. The size of the cut(s) will be the interesting number.
There are two though. The Heat on Thursday and the Heat on Friday (if their comms are accurate). Second to Last Chance Qualifier and Last Chance Qualifier!
